This trip featured me and my parents. The plan for tonight was to split up and enjoy the evening on our own, so I took the opportunity to experience the new restaurant on the Boardwalk Kouzzina.

Because they are still in soft opening (I was there on their third night of service) I won't review the service, just the food. I apologize for the darkness of the pictures, but I didn't want to use the flash and disturb the other diners.

I never dined at the original Spoodles, so I don't know how the spaced was changed. I did like they layout of the room, it was open, but didn't feel crowded. Watching the open kitchen was fun too.

I did take pictures of the menu, but they didn't come out very well. So I have included a link to the All Ears menu, which was identical to the menu I had that night. http://allears.net/menu/menu_kouzd.htm

The fist thing I examined was the wine list. I was surprised to see that almost everything was either Greek or from California. I enjoyed two different whites from one of my favorite wineries, Bailyana

The meal began with soda bread served with butter sprinkled with black sea salt. It was good, but not the best I've ever had.

Then for a started I ordered the spanakopita, which was outstanding! I apologize, ?I took a bite before taking a picture!

For my entree I had the fisherman's stew. I can't begin to say how much I loved this dish! It was one of the best entrees of my entire trip! The shrimp were large and perfectly cooked, the scallops were buttery and the shellfish added just the right amount of brine to the dish. IT was also huge!

I really enjoyed the food here, it was wonderful! In fact I liked it so much that my parents ate there later that night based on my recommendation. They split the flank steak, and thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the potatoes! This restaurant is a real winner, and I can't wait to return!

I ate at Kouzzina on Wednesday, 8/26, for breakfast. OMG, t was DELICIOUS! I had a glass of white Sangria that was unbelievably good and the Turkey Sweet Potato Hash for my entree. The hash was a combination of sweet potatoes, red peppers, onions and crumbled turkey sausage. On top were two perfectly cooked sunny-side up eggs and an arugula salad. Amazing... probably, no, definely, the best breakfast I've had on Disney property.

Give it a try... you won't be disappointed!!!!

I had this dish on 8/22 and really loved it. Besides the seafood, there was a vegetable included which was kind of like a cross between celery, turnip, and potato. I think the menu says it fennel but I can't be sure since I'm not familiar with it. The dish was pretty filling but not overwhelming - enough room for dessert.

Speaking of dessert, I had the Greek donuts which were light and airy drizzled with warm honey - absolutely wonderful and delicious.

I can't wait to have dinner at Kouzzina this friday. I was able to book a reservation about a week ago for my mom's birthday and I'm really excited to try it. It's a surprise for my mom. She thinks we are going somewhere else, but she had expressed interest in going to Kouzzina before I knew it was in soft opening. Can't wait for the surprise! I'm looking forward to trying either the whole fish or the fisherman's stew. The latter looks great in the picture. I'm hoping for an appetizer we will split the saganaki. Flaming cheese can't be bad! I'll give a review on my experience when I come back also :) Thank you for taking the time to give a review!

Have a ressie for Kouzinna for our arrival night dinner. I am sooooo excited! Question for those of you who have been there before? Will my 2 year old fit in? I know it's Disney, kids everywhere, blah, blah.... BUT there are some restaurants where you take a small one and everyone starts staring at you like you have 2 heads when she starts singing. :)

Your daughter should be fine! This is a real family style restaurant and kids fit right in!

Thank you Melissa! That's kind of what I figured, it being Greek and all. I told my husband last night I snagged us a ressie and he almost flipped! We're going to have to cancel Chef Mickey's but we've already BTDT, we're just not telling the girls we had a ressies there to begin with. :rotfl:

We at Kouzzina's on 8/29 for dinner (6:30 reservation) it was our last meal before heading home in the morning. I am so happy that I changed from Le Cellier to here. We had GREAT service. I had a Blue Tini (Award winning drink and it tasted like it earned that award) DH had a Ouzotini (he is still talking good things about that drink) My mom had a pomogranate drink and she liked it but was disappointed that she didnt see the full drink menu before ordering. She ordered off the main menu and we ordered off the cocktail menu. We had Grape leave appetizers we ordered 2. They were delicious! Not what we expected but more like a cream cheese concistancy to spread on bread. The waiter said 1 would feed 3 but it wouldnt have. DM told DS lemon rice soup was on the menu and he had to have some. He ate ALL of it! it was quite yummy. He also got the lightening mcqueen light up drink. He was excited. I had the flank steak. Flank Steak is hard to cook and it was DELICIOUS and tender I got it medium rare and it came out medium rare. The roasted red potatoes are my favorite and they were also nice and tender. They do not put salt or pepper on the table and to be honest neither spice was needed. DH got TBone Pork chop it had some vegatable and had pineapple on top. He did feel that it could have used a bit more spice but was overall very good. DM got the whole fish which was a snapper. She enjoyed it. She ate all the bread and butter. I guess it was good :)
We also got desserts. She got the Baklava but was disappointed that it was made with walnuts instead of pistacios (sp) felt like they went the cheap route. I forget the name of my dessert but it was a chocolate cake served warm with a dollap of whip cream type substance I thought it was good. I ate it all! DH had a completely unpronouncable dessert started with a G. It was TINY and gone before I even turned my head to look at it. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!! We have a 4 year old and 6 month old and they were very good with the kids :)
