Hi everyone
Sorry to ask another question but I am a little confused about Cafe Mickey. We have made a reservation for our first evening and I have booked a birthday cake for DD2. We have not actually booked the "character meal", just made the reservation. Is the character interation just the same if you just order from the menu or would we have been better booking it as an actual add on to our booking.
Hope I have made this clear, I am confusing myself LOL.
Thanks in advance.

cafe mickey is a character meal during lunch time and from 6.30 onwards i think. if you have booked during these times then you will see the characters

The character interaction at Cafe Mickey is exactly the same for each table of diners, regardless of whether you've paid for a set meal, or whether you order a pizza between all of you :goodvibes. Plus of course, when your little one's birthday cake is brought out, some of the characters will accompany it and dance around your table to the "Birthday song".

Thank you for the replies - our booking is for 6.15pm so we should be fine. We thought it would be a bit cheaper to order from the menu after looking at the price in the brochure but I was then a bit worried in case we missed out on the characters.
I can't wait to see DD2's face (she will be 4) when the cake comes out, she will be amazed I think.

I've put a load of photos on my post "Just back and shattered- but worth it"
If you look for the ones where my little one is eating a Mickey Pizza- this was in Cafe Mickey- we booked for 6.30pm and characters were already out when we got there. We saw 9 in total, was fantastic and a definate must!
It's just a normal restaurant but with Characters walking round.

Thanks Millmolly, I had a peep at your photos, they are all great. I noticed you flew Easyjet from Liverpool - was it all ok? We are flying from Liverpool too but this is the first time we have booked the flights and accommodation separately so I am a little bit worried it might all go horribly wrong LOL.

Couldn't fault easy jet at all. Just remember to take a small re-sealable palstic bag 20cm x 20cm to put 100ml or less liquids in (i.e. calpol sachets)- the airport charge you now for bags out of a machine.
It was the first time we've flown from Liverpool and flew back 10.15pm and had to que for passport control practically on the runway so take something to wrap kiddies in as they'll freeze waiting.
We booked it all seperately too and it went so smooth and meant we got the best deals picking flights, hotel and transfers etc. Wolud definately do it this way again.
