Oh no, they switch buses out and about.. WE have shuttle buses for our country busses to get back on their routes earlier for the high school level but they switch busses at the upper elementary school... They started this about 3 years ago because our country busses were constantly late for school...but due to their routes they were getting their timely considering where they were coming from...

We told the kids the cell is to be on while on the bus to turn it off as the bus hits the parking lot before they release to go into school... PJ keeps hers in her purse on silent... DS13 leaves his in his locker...DS8 is still begging to have one.. LOL

Sure hope you see your DH soon and Levi is okay... keep us posted!

they actually switch for elemetary school at a local park. Middle and high schoolers from 1 of the 5 villages come over and they get off the gradeschool bus that Eric is getting on, this year Levi stays on the morning bus as it is a jr/high school bus. We are the 1st stop/last stop for the elementary school with no turn around so they have always rode that bus over to meet but now there are tons of other jr/high kids on it with my elem kid he knows he's to sit up front.

Levi should be at school and we will have the phone talk when he gets home, especially for this 1st week.
Eric will be arriving at school shortly 5 mins or so. I want to call and make sure he made it. Probably will, just so hopefully my stomach will stop dancing. I should b freaked out over Levi going to middle school and changing classes and handling all that, but I'm not guess my baby is growing up.

Eric is 8 and dying for a cell phone I told him just like Levi ask santa cause mom's rule is 6th grade. although he is my sport kid and it may have to be this year since we could run into drop off pick ups

I know.. my heart just goes out to the Kennedy family... This past 2 weeks have been really rough on them...

I may not agree with all of Mr. Kennedy's moral choices, but he did do a lot for our country (and state!). I'm just glad I don't live on the Cape for these past couple weeks!

joyah
08-26-2009, 09:36 AM
UGH jennifer can you even imagine the cape. i don't think you could pay me to be there right now. Think of all the people still on vacation and what a mess that must be.

Talked with DH's cousin who lives on nantucket and he was planning on coming off this weekend he has since changed his mind.

I agree.. morally some choices were not acceptable..but we have all made some moral choices that were wrong (in someone else's eyes, in our eyes in hindsight).... but what he did in the Senate was amazing! Lets hope someone will step up and try to do the same!

LOL! Or an early teenage present for your DD... start buying now! LOL

My DD thinks I'm nuts because starting next summer, I'm buying her sheets sets, towels sets, and stuff for college life... Not that I want her out..but buying a little at a time won't be such a sticker shock as when we would have purchase it all at once! DsS18 is getting sheet sets and towel sets for Christmas.. LOL

aroyer
08-26-2009, 10:16 AM
Lol, I hear ya! I usually start buying school clothes early to avoid the shock! That's a good idea to buy one for DD- it could be an incentive present too. Like when I catch her being extra nice to her brother. Hmmmmm, now you have me thinkin!

for all the well wishes today. Lunch is over for both of then and levi actually gets out of school 1 1/2 hours. but he will normally be taking the late bus so I told him to hang out and wait for that. we'll see if he does, I'm hoping he remembers where we tucked the bus numbers and times or turns on his cell.

Eric gets released at 2:50 so hes got just over 2 hours to go. I've finally settled in enough to actually eat.

Poor bailey (the puppy) is just lost with them gone, even DH is working today. She went and burried herself in Levi's bed this an and now is taking herself for a walk.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

I guess it just the principle of the whole thing, and I'm feeling very down about myself right now.
Dh is acting like a jerk right now so that is not helping. When I worked he helped out and works some by no means alot. Now he's doing NOTHING to help and working less when we need the money, course both his parents are very poor money managers so he has no concept. I'd be there... really.. I'm already formulating my savings to go next year.. Let's see how DH and the kids handle 3 days by themselves... :rolleyes1popcorn:::eek:

Can the Poly plane get me, too??? I'm having a bang up morning already! This is what I get for saying, "I'll be in a good mood today!!"

Nan--we have the bon-bon problem, too! Give 'em heck, dear!!!

Ut-oh, who set you off? Give me a number, I'll have a go at them!:flower3:

On the upside, we think we have DsS13's back brace being paid for by insurance.. DH has been on the phone for 3 days fighting this out.. especially because the durable medical suppliers that insurance covers pretty much in a nutshell told us we were SOL, they don't handle what we need.. DH called insurance and raised cane yesterday afternoon.. they gave him a number for pre-cert to get approval for the original company we were referred too... so they have called this morning and hopefully we can have him fitted tomorrow..and the brace made and to him by next week.. Now, DH and EX are fighting w/ the school about his unexcused tardy to 5th period last Friday.. .The poor kid wasn't at 5th period last Friday, he was with his mom at the pedi's office. DsS15 took the Drs note in... his 5th period notes him excused-dr., and unexcused tardy.. He can't be tardy.. he was NEVER there!:headache: So much for hi-tech.. they are highly screwed!:lmao: DH and EX have both called school today to complain... both of them called here to leave msgs for one another.... I just can't help but laugh... it's not like the kid was running the hallways or running town.. He was at the doctor and we have proof! (where is the slapping head against brick wall smilie?)

let me stop at the farm gas tank and I'll be on my way. I'll reach Jennifer in about 2and Holly in abt. 2 1/2 ish hours if we drive straight through I'm not sure how long to TFGreen (anybody) Nancy I'm figurin it will be tomorrow we'll get you in NC.

Nancy gotta love those idiots who invented tardies. Both boys still have one on their recods from 3 years ago when the idiot bus driver wouldn't let them switch and they road all around town with him and finally back to the bus garage.:scared1::scared1: that was eric's 1st day on the bus for k. I've given up fighting it.

I have to think my DH would run for cover it we ever all met either that or I'd better cause he'll kill me for all you guys know.

Sounds like a plan! Let's leave them all to stew in their juices for a while and go to Disney!

Does anyone else have this problem (silly question, they're men and they're all alike)? I tell DH something and before I'm even finished with the sentence, he's asking me to repeat it. Um, if you just LISTENED TO ME, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO ASK QUESTIONS! OMG, it makes me mental having to repeat myself over and over and over again. I might as well tell him I'm taking a rocket to the moon...

Just remind your DH... you talk to us; thus ensuring his safety because we can talk you down! :) My DH use to get mad too... Like it told him.. it's easier to talk to someone outside, and no we don't post major details, just nutshells (unless it's a pm because you have to explain the whole story) and someone can relate, point you in the right direction, tell you your over-reacting (which for us is never the case! LOL), and just let you vent w/o causing more turmoil in the house...

PrincessNancy96

Definitely have that problem! OMG! Like that isn't the song of my life right now w/ DH..
Asked me to look something up and let him know about it just last night..then the *** started reading it over my shoulders.. well, at that point I was flippin' mad... you asked me to do it; now you seems to think I'm not educated enough to do it... so here is the website, get out of my way so I can go take care of the many other chores that need taken care of w/ the bed time routines... bonehead!

bail money should only be used for DISNEY vacations... meaning... all money that would need to be used for bail..should be diverted to the DISNEY fund!!

besides, orange is not my color!

disney fund can be added to by children neglecting to do what needs to be done. In our house the children have to pay us for certian things after I ask 3 times for something they owe me. they also have to pay me if they get to fighting. I've told them if they need cool down time go to their rooms.
This should raise the fund considerably in my house.

I plan 2 years out and save, save, save... We already put a deposit on a condo just minutes from the gates for our next trip... they say we can see the fireworks from our balcony! :) I just coudn't justify the 1000K for the room alone..and w/ 5 in our family...I'd rather take the 500 for the condo and than 500 for fun!!!

That makes sense, Nan. Since there are only three of us, we only need one room and since they really don't differ in size all that much, we usually cheap out and get the value. As long as there is a pool, PrincessM is happy. We do onsite and get free dining when we can ;)

PO3 and Bubba met PrincessM and I at ACM and we did a little shopping. How is it I go on a spending ban and still spend over $60? But, it could have been more, because I really neeeeeeeed a trimmer! I'm waiting until Saturday and going and buying the Purple Cows one with a 50% off coupon. BUT that's IT!

Then we went over and had doughnuts and coffee. I think I asked for decaf and got regular, I'm a little jumpy! Could be the sugar too though. We have the ice cream social tonight, so I'll have even more sugar later! :rotfl2:

My head hurts.. DH just called to tell me that insurance just denied the company they said they would pay for for DsS's brace... they referred us elsewhere.. and DH has them getting the pre-cert and calling us tomorrow.(oh and this new company is NOT even one of the 3 they referred us to to begin with). Appt. set for Tuesday and DH is so po'd that he has a message out for his HR rep to get info on our insurance rep, the insurance rep supervisor and the President of the insurance company in a meeting over all this crap.. DH also has the last company which got the denial due to being out of network even though no one in network fits back braces sending the denial and a letter w/ whom they spoke w/ on each occassion when they were given the verbal approval but than the denial on the paperwork... I feel sorry for insurance when DH gets thru.... He said he has a manilla folder full of the documentation.... I wish I could go to that meeting!

All right, ROAD TRIP! Forget the plane, we'll rent a party bus.

You're right, if we're going to do it, we might as well be pampered!

I was giggling to myself earlier, can you see if I sent DH an email, "You need to pick Morgan up at my mom's. I'll be home next Friday. Have a good week." :lmao:
that really would be funny ya know! see ya next week! my dh would be :scared1: or maybe  or maybe :woohoo: she's gone!!!!!

Please, a check is fine. I've got to go to the bank anyhow. If you had given me cash, I'd spend it. A check I have to deposit ;)

Nan, how can they not cover this? It's a medically necessary item. Insurance makes me crazy. I work for an insurance broker, so I can't complain too loudly, but seriously, there has got to be a better way!

Not sure why they won't pay for it.. it's preventative for the worse case being back surgery down the road... we fix the little problem before it becomes a big problem.. but the fact that they have sent DH around some bushes and denial even when they tell us it's approved via this/that organization is the part that sets him off the most.. It will NOT be pretty in this upcoming meeting.. he is diplomatic...but not when they give him the run around.. me however, I'm ready to knock heads together!

oh I remember those days of spelling it out DH can't spell to save his soul but those words he could spell. the funny part is we started letting the boys watch deadliest catch and dirty jobs where everything is beeped. Now when we say something the boys sit there and censor us. At 8 and 11 they've heard the bulk of it. On night my mom was watching them and broke the handle off the microwave and used a word for manure when levi called to report what happened and ask how to get into the mic he repeated the story word for word and used the beep I almost drove off the road laughing:rotfl::lmao::rotfl:.
glad you two had a good shopping trip. Nancy I'm glad I'm not on the other side of that table for the meeting although I'd like to be a fly on the wall.
