We are DVC owners and I am thinking of add the QS plan for our upcoming trip. We are staying 3 nights before a cruise checking in on Wednesday evening and checking out on Sat morning. I am trying to decide if the QS plan would be a better deal than paying OOP. Usually we do some meals in the room so I have never considered any dining plan before.

So would I have to buy 3 "nights" of dining plan - Wed, Thurs, Fri to get a total of 6 meals and 6 snack credits or is it 4 "days" of dining plan - Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat to get a total of 8 meals and 8 snack credits?

Also we have two rooms reserved one is me, DH, and DD and the other is the in-laws, can I get the dining plan for just one room if they decide they are not interested in doing it?
Thanks!

Just as you pay for your room, it's nights. You purchase a 5 night package, you get 5 allotments on the DP, and you pay for 5. I think I said that right!;)
Each room is on it's own plan. You can have Regular dining in one room, Quick in the other, etc. But all people on that room reservation has to have the same.
I think, yipes! Someone help!

tkitty has it exactly right. Dining plans are tied to your room/unit reservations, which are based on the number of nights you are staying. From all accounts I've heard, each room/unit reservation can be treated separately in terms of which (if any) plan is purchased for it.

Also, don't forget that your credits do not expire until midnight of check out day - so if you have any "leftover" credits, you could use them up on Saturday AM. :cutie:
