You've got to admire Katzenberg's determination especially after the way Spirit fell flat. He does seem a bit obsessed though.

Maybe some "healthy competition" is what is needed.
Complacency is the downfal of many Kings.
Hopefully the threat of someone else EARNING market share will sharpen the focus and not cause the abandonment of "Traditional Feature Animation."

I guess Disney wins this time - looks like L & S will make twice as much as Spirit
and they barely lost in the Shrek vs. Monsters fight.

I like that Disney is getting some competition now from Dreamworks and others. If they can convince Disney to raise the bar, more power to them!
And I think that Spirit will do OK once overseas is included and video sales hit too. It won't do as well as L&S but there's always next time... ;)

Pixar vs Dream works in Monsters vs Shrek, disney created neither movie!!!
Competition is always good, but disney's overall percentage has been going down the past several years and with Bad Company a major bomb they have to hope Signs/Reign of Fire do well.
