My wifes vacation wasnt approved for this march now we are considering going in mid september as school here breaks for 2 weeks around the 15th of the month. Just curious what crowd levels and temperatures are like that time of year. What sorts of rates should one expect to pay? Due to there being 6 of us we normaly get adjoining rooms at ASM or PoP.

September is very hot and humid, slightly less than in the summer in Florida. High 80's to low 90's with 80ish % humidity, the nights being around 70. My favorite weather!! The only downfall is Sept is prime hurricane season. For the last 6 to 7 years they have had free dining in September, so you would pay rack rate ($82 for pop) and you get the basic dining plan for free. Not sure if they are doing this next year, if so I have a hunch, (ONLY A HUNCH ON MY PART) that you may only get quick service dining free with the value resorts, but I'm only basing this on the bounceback offers I've heard of lately so it's really just a guess. Crowd levels are LOW , probably one of the lowest of all year, but you do have to make sure you make ADR's because the restaurants are quite busy due to free dining and they book up fast. There are also quite a few other options out there for good rates off property too. Hey, Swan and Dolphin had $149 for first room and $99 for second room. I thought that was an awesome deal.

There's four of us going, as well, Sept 18-27. We're staying at ASMu though.
