CaskBill and CaskPeg last hike together was the Emerald Pools Trail at Zion National Park. Peg had contacted the park about placing a memorial bench there in remembrance of Bill.
Zion National Park is currently renovating the Emerald Pools Trail in the park. The NPS will not allow a personalized memorial, but they are adding at least two hand carved sandstone benches on that trail. They do not yet know the cost - but the message from Zion suggested they would be "expensive" and they invited that any contributions be sent in Bill's name to the park.
I know some have already sent contributions in Bill's honor, but others had asked about other avenues for donation.
Anyone wishing to contribute may send a letter explaining that the donation is to go toward a sandstone bench along the Emerald Pools Trail. Contibutions may be sent to Zion National Park at this address:

Contributors will receive a confirmation letter from Zion National Park.
