Welcome everyone! Our first meal at Disney was at Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Neither of us had eaten here before, and this was one of two restaurants that I chose as MUST DOs! Our reservation was for 4:30pm. We arrived about 30 min ahead of time, checked-in without a problem and went upstairs to the bar so Jamey could get a beer. The CMs allowed me to go in before it opened so that I could take pics of the empty restaurant::

At 4:30, there was a small opening ceremony with a family and then we were seated soon after. We had a good table towards the back of the restaurant near the window that overlooks the pool. Our waiter, Doug, wasn't very friendly at first, but he soon warmed up. And now... the food! On our first trip to the buffet we each got a bit of everything.
Here's my first plate::
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43349%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D327835%3C835327nu0mrj
Chicken Curry Soup

From top clockwise: 3 kinds of hummus with pita bread, falafel, rice, pork loin, mealie bread, prime rib, durban-spiced chicken, some type of sweet potato thing and something that I can't remember what it is. :goodvibes
I :love:LOVED:love: everything that I got except for the rice. It was good, but a bit too different for me. The soup had a sweetness to it, but it was absolutely delightful. The best thing was the pork loin... fork tender, melt in your mouth meat!
This is Jamey's first plate::
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43372%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D327835%3C547327nu0mrj
Seafood Soup
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43367%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D327835%3C838327nu0mrj
Jamey got the same food that I did, with the exception of the salmon (center of plate) and potato wedges (top left)
I was worried he wouldn't like the food here, but he ended up loving it too! He did not care for the soup, though, which was too sweet for him. However, he agreed that the pork loin was the best! :worship:
After finishing up the first round of food, we headed back to the buffet. At this time, more people started showing up so it took a little longer to get through the lines.
My second plate::
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43368%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D327835%3C83%3A327nu0mrj
From top clockwise: mealie bread, some traditional African dish I can't remember the name of (lol), sweet potatoes, carrot soup, salad with mango vinaigrette and pork loin.
The only thing I did not care for was the mango vinaigrette. It was very weird tasting and I didn't eat more than a bite or two.
Jamey's second plate::
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp4336%3B%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3E WSNRCG%3D327835%3C548327nu0mrj
Jamey also got a repeat of his favorites but with the addition of hummus. Again, everything was delicious!
With our second plates down the hatch, it was time for.... DESSERT! I have heard so much about zebra domes I couldn't wait to try them! Jamey and I both have sweet tooths, so we made one plate to share with every type of dessert minus the cookies.
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp4335%3A%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3E WSNRCG%3D327835%3C843327nu0mrj
We enjoyed everything except for the lava-thing (chocolate-cake looking thing to the left) which was dry. Our favorites were the zebra domes and the pineapple upside down cheesecake! So good!!!
As we were munching on our desserts, Doug brought out a birthday surprise for me!
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43348%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D327835%3C552327nu0mrj
The cupcake was good and had a whipped cream-type icing and was sprinkled with M&Ms, Mickey head sprinkles and gummi bears. The best part was the Boma stencil!
All in all, we both adore Boma and have deemed it the best meal of the trip! And we have agreed that it is a must do on our next trip!
Later that night back at the hotel, we stopped by Silver Screen Spirits where Jamey got a beer and I got a Pina Colava. I didn't like it. It had a much too strong alcohol taste to it for me, and the raspberry syrup was too sweet. I tried mixing it all together, but it didn't help. The pineapple slice was dry and tasted old. I drank about 3/4 and then gave up.

Try it! Even if you don't like the spices and flavorings of the African-style dishes, they have an area where you can get mac n cheese and chicken and there's also a large salad bar! I hope you enjoy it!!! :goodvibes

Monday (the 17th) was our day to visit AK. We worked up quite an appetite running around the park, so we stopped by Flame Tree BBQ around 11am for lunch.

I snapped this one before it opened, so there wouldn't be any people in it! :)

I ordered the 1/2 slab of St. Louis Ribs which came with baked beans and coleslaw:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43372%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278368%3B44327nu0mrj
Jamey ordered the Pork sandwich which came with a side of baked beans:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43353%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D327836953%3A327nu0mrj
And for dessert we both ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43359%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278369543327nu0mrj
I ate here on my trip in 2005. I loved it then and I loved it now! I don't know what they do to the meat here, but the spices are just right. And the aroma coming from this place is mouth-watering. The ribs were really good... there were a few fat pockets, but for the most part I got meat. I got an extra side of BBQ sauce for dipping because I like lots of sauce. Jamey's pork sandwich was really good too and he finished it pretty quick. The baked beans are really thick and the coleslaw was good. The key lime pie was tart and delicious as well! But after finishing off my 1/2 slab of ribs, I couldn't force all of it down! :confused3
We ate our food behind Flame Tree BBQ. If you follow the path all the way down, you'll find a covered picnic area right beside the lake. It was so peaceful down there and only a few other families. Here's our view from the table:

Hey! We probably did bump into each other! lol! We stayed in the Love Bug section with a parking lot view. It was so quiet! haha. It worked out best that way for us since we drove ourselves to the parks, so our car was always right across the street. I'm sorry that you had to hear a lot of noise... did you think the hotel was crowded? I really didn't see that many people :confused3 I did a mini-review of the hotel in my trip report. Definitely look for it! And don't worry about loading up on condiments at the bar by the restaurant, there's another one down by the seating area :]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Around 2pm we stayed getting thirsty and annoyed with the crowd in AK, so we stopped by Drinkwallah near Flights of Wonder and got frozen drinks. Jamey got a blue raspberry frozen drink and I got a frozen lemonade. Here's a pic of mine:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp4335%3B%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3E WSNRCG%3D3278368%3B%3B3327nu0mrj
Just imagine it blue, and that's what Jamey's looked like. lol. We took our drinks over to Flights of Wonder and enjoyed them while we watched the show. Jamey's was really good, nice and sweet, light and refreshing. Mine was a little too tart. I swear I got even more thirsty after drinking it than I was beforehand. haha.
We had dinner ressies at AK's Rainforest Cafe at 6:20pm. So we headed over there around 5:45pm and checked in. Since we were early, they said it might be a bit of wait, so we walked around the gift shop giving me a chance to take some pics::

Let me say here, that this is one of the BEST themed restaurants I have ever been in! It was absolutely beautiful! I love the tree in the gift shop and the aquariums that "surround" you as you walk into the dining area. Anyways, after 15 min of waiting, we decided to head to the bar and get a drink while we waited. But just as soon as we sat down, our name was called, so I didn't get many pics of the bar area::

Jamey's seat (I love this pic... looks like he's got 4 legs :rotfl:)
Okay, they brought us to our table and.... we were sitting right next to an aquarium! I don't know what it was, but we got great seats every night for dinner! :woohoo:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43349%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278369%3A%3C%3B327nu0mrj
Alright, now onto the food! For an appetizer we ordered the Lava Nachos.
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43374%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278373749327nu0mrj
Jamey and I could have made a meal out of these things! They were...... DELICIOUS! And the plate was HUGE (but for $15 it better be! lol) They were covered in cheese, black beans, ground beef, sour cream and pico de gallo. MmmmMmmMmmmMMMmm!
For my meal, I ordered the Rasta Pasta:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp4336%3A%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3E WSNRCG%3D3278374234327nu0mrj
I wasn't crazy about it. The chicken tasted like it came out of a can and the Alfredo sauce was a bit bland. I wouldn't recommend this.
Jamey ordered the Twin Lobster Tails:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43363%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D327837374%3B327nu0mrj
I would like to say that he knew this wouldn't be GREAT lobster and he was right. The lobster was tough and rubbery. He didn't care for the coconut rice either.
So in conclusion, we found our entrees to be basically inedible. I wish that we had stuck with just sharing the nachos and getting another appetizer for dinner. I probably wouldn't be so disappointed in this restaurant if I hadn't had to pay OOP for it. But I would go to the Rainforest Cafe again because I love the atmosphere, but I would either stick with an appetizer or get something basic for a meal, like a sandwich and fries. Also if you do not like loud noises, you probably will not like this place! Every 20 min a thunderstorm pops up, and when that happens you can barely hear yourself think! The constant animal noises didn't bother me that much, but that might be because we weren't directly underneath one :confused3
And that's the end of our AK dining experiences! Up next, we go to the Magic Kingdom!

I don't think I would go there even if it would be covered under the DDP.
Do you think you could just sit at the bar at RFC and get an appy? I would like to check out the atmosphere but don't think I want to eat there.

I like Flame Tree - but hate there is no a/c!!

and dh and I also love getting the frozen lemonade and watching Flights of Wonder - they now have a blue frozen!!! :woohoo:

I forgot to say that I would love to try Boma's breakfast! (I think I just drooled a little...) ;)

Yeah, I do feel like I was ripped off a bit. But like I said, I would go again just for the atmosphere and eat something small and not hard to mess up. That doesn't mean it's on my list of must dos... I'd love to try Yak & Yeti next :)

lol! As soon as we got home, DBF said "I want to eat Boma!" I say do it! :goodvibes Or maybe you could try the breakfast? When I ate at Flame Tree in '05 we sat up near the restaurant and it was hot! But the covered seating area we sat at this trip had ceiling fans (I think)... and even if it didn't, it was covered so there was no sun at least.......... oh and that drink! I only drank that much because the DBF spent like $8-10 on it! I accidentally left it on the nightstand when I went to bed and in the middle of the night I knocked it over and that nasty drink went everywhere! :scared1: haha

Your right it was not at all that crowded. When we checked in we had a problem with our room. They had just cleaned the rugs so they were VERY WET. We checked in a few minutes before 3 and were told our room was not ready yet. So around 4 my DH went to complain about our room not being ready. We finally got in around 5 and the rugs were still vey wet, me and my kids socks were ruined. So DH went and to the front desk to complain again, they tried to move us but there was no other rooms available. They even checked at other resorts and nothing. So they brought in those huge blower fans to dry up the rugs. We left the room to eat dinner and came back about an hour later and the rugs were still wet but not as wet. We went to bed early that night, (had been up since 3:30 am to catch our flight) so around 9:30 there was a knock at the door and it was the guy coming back to get the fans. My hubby answered the door by only opening it a tad bit since the kids were sleeping and we were in bed and he told the guy the rugs are still wet and we are sleeping. All in all they did compensate us for our troubles, they refunded us for one night and gave us FP's to anything (we used them on the cars in MK and Toy Story Mania)
Sorry to hijack your dinning review with my check in problem :)

I've always wanted to try RainForest Cafe, but after reading your reviews I think I'll just skip the eating and look around the gift shop.
Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your meals.:thumbsup2
Ohh, I don't want to scare you away from it!
OMG! I'm so sorry you had to go through all that with your check-in! But at least they made up for it! I bet those fastpasses came in handy! :goodvibes
The next installment of my food review is coming soon! :yay:

Your review of Flame Tree just convinced me to try it...could you tell me exactly how to get to that little sitting area? We haven't explored the Animal Kingdom too much, so I also didn't know about the Flights of Wonder thing! I can't wait to go back and explore!

Yay! I'm glad that you're gonna try it! (I love AK btw! :)) After you get your food from the windows, walk to the left of the building. You'll see the condiment station. Keep walking down that path. I think it splits off once, but keep walking down. Soon you'll see the covered sitting area! Hope you enjoy! :goodvibes

[FONT="Trebuchet MS"]lol! :scared1: haha
sorry - but that also made me :rotfl: - the only time I tried to "save a drink" (*ahem translate not finish a drink*) it also spilled - only it was a cheap bottle of champagne and the cork flew off in the middle of the night - spraying cheap champagne all over the hotel room!! :rotfl2:

Hello again everyone! It's on to our second day in the parks and my birthday!!!! :woohoo: We went to the Magic Kingdom, and as on most days I left it up to Jamey to choose where we ate lunch (minus Flame Tree BBQ of course! I put my foot down on that one :rotfl:) Anyways, around 11am, we started getting hungry for some grub. Since we were located in Adventureland and were waiting for our FP time for Splash Mountain, we decided to eat somewhere in either Adventureland or Frontierland. We spotted Pecos Bill's, and I remember hearing/reading about the fixins bar, so Jamey suggested we eat there.

This is a pic of the side entrance to the restaurant... sorry about the sun spot!
I ordered the Quarter Pound Cheeseburger which came with fries. For dessert I ordered the carrot cake (I don't know what happened to the pic I took of it, but you can see it in the next photo right by Jamey's burger):
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43354%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C977%3C5327nu0mrj
Jamey ordered the Bacon Double Cheeseburger which also came with fries (notice the carrot cake!):
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43359%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C977%3B9327nu0mrj
Jamey wasn't in a dessert type of mood, so he subbed a bowl of chili for his dessert:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43352%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C98463327nu0mrj
This was the only time that we were given large drinks with our CS meals too! Anyways, after collecting our food we made our way to the fixins bar:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43364%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C98458327nu0mrj
It's basically just two loops that has several areas where you can get the same toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickles, sauteed onions and mushrooms. After loading up with our desired toppings we made our way to a table. Luckily the lunch rush hadn't happened yet, so it was very easy for us to find a table. The only complaint I have about this place was that the chairs have no backs; they're basically stools... not very comfortable when you want to sit back and relax. However, this place serves up some GOOD burgers! :goodvibes And they were generous portions too! In fact, I could not eat my carrot cake! I put it in my bag to save for later, but the icing ended up melting and looking all nasty, so it got thrown in the trash (so sad :sad1: lol). So if you're in the MK and looking for a good burger, head on over to Pecos Bill's! It gets a thumbs up from me! :thumbsup2
Around 1pm we were getting anxious for a little snack. I told Jamey he could go anywhere he wanted for his snack, but I was going to Aloha Isle and trying a DOLE WHIP! :lmao: He decided he would try one too, so we headed over to Adventureland and when I saw the sign I got so excited!!!
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43347%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C9%3B789327nu0mrj

Jamey and I both decided to try a Dole Whip Float, but first we had to wait in line... and of course, we pick the line with the slow CM!
All I wanted was to try this concoction I've heard so much about! After what seemed like forever, we got them!
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp4335%3A%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3E WSNRCG%3D3278%3C9%3B78%3B327nu0mrj
They're really almost too pretty to eat! But... I ate it anyways. :goodvibes
When I took that first bite, I... felt... like... I... was... in... heaven! OMG!!!! That Dole Whip ice cream is so creamy and out of this world! I liked the float, but next time I'm going to get just the Dole Whip so nothing can get in the way of its flavor! We walked over to the Tiki Room, where the CMs let us eat them in the waiting area (we just had to be finished before entering the building). I would probably drive 40 min to get one of these if it were sold near Charleston, and it has/will become my Disney World snack tradition, so move over Mickey Ears!!! :rotfl2:

How funny we were at MK on Tue. the 18th also. We got there for EMH. WE were at Pecos right around the same time as you around 10:50 am we were looking for a snack (as many times we have been to Disney we have never eaten at Pecos Bills) we walk in and the place is dead. We look at the menu and see nothing snack worthy, we see a CM and ask them what time they open (my nephew wanted to eat here since the fixings bar looked soo good) The CM said they open at 11. We figured we would come back but some how ended up at Cosmic Rays for lunch. (a tradition for us) :rotfl: Can't wait to read more of your reviews to see what other parks we were in at the same time. :rotfl2:

Great reading so far!!!!
Loved your frog legs……. ;)
Having tried the RFC in Dallas, San Francisco and DTD, I have NEVER noticed those chairs at the bar, will look for them the next time we go to a RFC, but this time we are trying T-Rex………..I understand about the food as we tend to order the sandwiches and stay away from the entries as they can be a bit disappointing. I agree with you in that the atmosphere is great and is what we are hoping for in T-Rex……
Dole Whips, now in hearing your review I am going to try this concoction as it sounds awesome, if only they could put some rum inside……………..:scared1:
I read that you finally got large drinks, I take it you were given medium drinks as the standard, do they give you refills on the drinks, if not I may be in trouble…………:headache:
LOVE THE PICS!!

Most of the time unless you request the large drink at counter service locations they only give you the regular size. We have always ordered the large drink on the dining plan without any problems you just have to request it.

:lmao: What a coincidence!! We got there early for EMH too, but had to wait in line for my birthday stuff at Will Call first. We thought the EMH that morning was very unorganized... no one knew what was open and what wasn't. Anyhoo, you just missed us at Pecos Bill then! Because we got there like right at 11am! :rotfl:

I don't know if they'll give you refills, I don't see why not, I just never felt like standing in line to ask for one. I did sneak a refill at Sunshine Seasons, but I'll get to that later.............. ;)

I figured as much... unfortunately, I always forgot to ask until it was too late. It wasn't much of a problem... if the DBF finished his, I let him have the rest of mine and I drank from the water bottle we brought with us.

Hello again all my fellow Disers! Since the 18th was my birthday, I decided that I wanted to have my birthday in Cinderella's Castle. I had wanted to be in the castle while WISHES was going off, but the only time that was available was 8:10pm. (Actually we probably could have waited in there and seen it, but oh well...) We showed up about 25 min before our ressie time and were told that we could not check in for another 10 min because that's when seating for the next time slot began. So while we waited, I snapped some pics::
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43357%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C%3A3%3B%3A2327nu0mrj

Back shot of the castle where the dining room is located
We wandered over to the carousel and FINALLY found the Sword in the Stone (we looked so hard for this thing earlier! :rotfl:)

Alright, so we made our way back to CRT's podium and were allowed to check-in. We waited just a few minutes and were taken inside to meet Cinderella. We were given a card with a number on it that we were to give to the photographer. After taking your picture, you are escorted upstairs to the dining hall. Cindy wasn't there, so we waited like 10-15 min. But like always, this gave me time to snap pictures!! :goodvibes

Jamey spotted Jaq and Gus hanging out on a ledge high up on the wall :]
Cinderella finally came down and we were introduced to her. She asked if Jamey was my Prince Charming? I replied that he was, so she directed him to stand on the other side of me:

We had a GREAT view of Fantasyland!!!!
Here's a pic of the menu, although it's kinda hard to see. You are allowed to choose one item from each section. I believe you're supposed to place your entire order at the start of your meal.
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43356%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C%3A6945327nu0mrj
You start off with a basket of rolls and butter. I think they were yeast rolls... they were good nonetheless:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43357%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C%3A6939327nu0mrj
Next they bring out your first course (appetizer). I got the Castle Salad, which was very good... I loved the goat cheese. The raspberries were a little mushy, so I didn't touch them. But I finished the rest of it:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43366%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C%3A3%3B%3C9327nu0mrj
Jamey ordered the Corn and Crab soup. I was worried about him ordering this since I had read bad reviews of it, but he really liked it:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43358%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C%3A6955327nu0mrj
For my main entree, I ordered the pork chop. It was so good!! The Sweet Chipotle glaze on top of the pork chop was the perfect touch! It wasn't spicy at all, but gave this otherwise great dish a push over the top.
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43362%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C%3A697%3A327nu0mrj
Jamey ordered the Roast Lamb Chops, which he said were fantastic! I tried a piece and it was very tender and juicy. The presentation was very nice too:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43372%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C%3A7252327nu0mrj
For dessert we both ordered the Chocolate Cream Cheese Buckle. I was excited to try this because I had read such great things about it, but I wasn't too impressed. It tasted like a regular cupcake (a bit dry) with a cream cheese filling. It was okay, but nothing I would write home about... or get again.
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp4336%3A%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3E WSNRCG%3D3278%3C%3A7259327nu0mrj
We were told before dessert that the Fairy Godmother would be coming out in 20 min for her show. So we waited. The mice came out first and flitted about among the tables. During this time our waiter brought out a special treat for my birthday:
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43365%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C%3A69%3A%3B327nu0mrj
I wish I had known this was coming because it was really good and I would have just not eaten the buckle. I think it was just a piece of chocolate cake covered in a white glaze, but it was really creamy.
Then the Fairy Godmother came out and put on her show.
http://images.photo1.walgreens.com/232323232%7Ffp43374%3Enu%3D3259%3E288%3E6%3B2%3EWS NRCG%3D3278%3C%3A7284327nu0mrj
She sang a song, had the guests say the "magic words" (I bet you know what they are!!!) and then asked who was celebrating something. I really thought that this whole thing was stupid. I guess adding her was Disney's way of adding a character to the meal so people wouldn't be so upset that there were no princesses at dinner? It was so rushed and she didn't seem interested at all in what she was doing. When she asked who was celebrating something, she pointed out a few individual tables and then waved her hand around the room to indicate the rest of us. My opinion is to remove her from the dinner and just let the dinner be special because it's taking place in the castle.
Throughout our meal our waiter asked if we had received our pictures from our meeting with Cinderella. We replied that we had not. After the Fairy Godmother left and we had been waiting around 40 min for them, we told our waiter we were ready to leave. He went and got the photo person who couldn't find our pictures. I was not leaving without these since I'm a big photo person and they're part of the reason the price is so high to eat here. We were told to wait over by the stairs while he went to go check. We waited for 10 min when he came back with pictures in hand... I assume he had to go find them and reprint them.
All in all, I enjoyed our meal here. There's just something special about eating IN Cinderella's Castle. Plus the view we had was so perfect. I couldn't have asked for a nicer birthday meal here. I thought it was fun to be called Lord and Lady all night, but it made Jamey feel a bit uncomfortable. I know that the dinner and the food at CRT gets a lot of criticism, but I really don't have anything to complain about (besides the delay in the photos). I thought the food was superb and the environment was beautiful.
Up next: We travel to DHS... where we wait. and wait. and wait for food.

[FONT="Trebuchet MS"]:lmao: What a coincidence!! We got there early for EMH too, but had to wait in line for my birthday stuff at Will Call first. We thought the EMH that morning was very unorganized... no one knew what was open and what wasn't. Anyhoo, you just missed us at Pecos Bill then! Because we got there like right at 11am! :rotfl:
:rotfl: We went over to get buttons also, the guys went to get FP's while we did that. Your right about no one knowing what was open, because while waiting in line for Peter Pan, I was texting to my DH and he said he got FP's for Splash. I then told this to my nephew's girlfriend and someone in line told us that Splash was closed. :lmao:

Great Review! We did Breakfast at CRT last year, and the food was pretty good. It was our anniversary and they gave us a window with a beautiful view too! The only bad thing is that we ate too much and then tried walking around a hot park all day! We know better for this trip!

Thanks for the great CRT review, we're doing lunch there in a few weeks & it's nice to hear a good review. We're not going for the food as much as the experience of dining in the castle, but it's good to know the food is ok too.

You start off with a basket of rolls and butter. I think they were yeast rolls... they were good nonetheless:
Then the Fairy Godmother came out and put on her show.
She sang a song, had the guests say the "magic words" (I bet you know what they are!!!) and then asked who was celebrating something. I really thought that this whole thing was stupid.

It was crazy! I'll talk more about it in my TR... whenever I get a chance to update it...... :rolleyes1

The views are absolutely beautiful! I'm glad that you were able to get a great table for your anniversary! We ate our big meals at dinner, so I only had to ride like 1 or 2 more rides then watch the evening fireworks before heading home. I don't know if I would have made it carrying a full stomach all day... and I definitely wouldn't have had room for a CS afterwards! Oh who am I kidding? I would have eaten it anyways. :rotfl:

I'm glad you agree with me! I have no clue about the pics; they couldn't find the pics of the family's sitting near us either. We left before them, so I don't know what happened with that :confused3

Okay, it's been awhile since my latest update and I'd like to welcome everyone back! On Wed. August 19th, we went to DHS. Jamey had decided before we went that he wanted to try Pizza Planet... on my last trip my friend and I tried to eat here, but the line was outrageous! Unfortunately, we got delayed by the Great Movie Ride so we didn't make it to Pizza Planet until 12pm or so.

It was a little crowded, but it didn't look that bad, so I sent Jamey outside to grab a table while I placed our order. I waited about 10min before I was able to place our order. Great, right?! It shouldn't take that long for our food to be ready......... wrong!!!!!!!! After passing the cashier, I waited for 35min before I got my food! People just started packing inside! I swear everyone was getting at least 6 pizzas at a time! I guess the cooking couldn't keep up with the demand. :confused3 Anyways, since it took forever, I was able to really look around at the inside which is kind of neat, since the stars make different shapes on the walls, such as pizza slices, mushrooms, etc.... and I found... a hidden mickey! lol! All by myself! Can everyone see it?

Alright, so I finally get our food and walk out to find that Jamey has secured a table with an umbrella. There aren't any seats inside that I know of, so an umbrella table is a must! Especially during the summer! Unfortunately, Jamey grabbed his food as soon as I got to the table and started scarfing it down since it took so long, and I didn't have the heart to make him wait even a minute more. lol. So I only have pics of my food.
For the record, Jamey ordered a pepperoni pizza combo which came with a side salad and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert.
I ordered a veggie pizza combo which also came with a side salad and a Mickey head rice krispie treat.

I wasn't sure I was going to like the pizzas here, but there were surprisingly very good! I was expecting something along the lines of cheap frozen pizza, but this had a nice thick crust, a nice blend of cheeses, fresh tasting veggies and was almost too big! My only complaint would be that the sauce is a little too much like tomato sauce... not much flavor there besides tomato. But all in all, it was very good. Jamey also liked his pizza. The salads were... salads... lettuce mix and tomatoes. You can pick your dressing from a few varieties at the condiment bar. I didn't eat my Mickey head until I got home, but it held up nicely considering it was like 5 days later. haha. It was really good too! I think this is one of the best "regular" dessert choices that most CS places offer. These things are huge!
Later that day we stopped to get our mid-day snack at a snack cart near Star Tours. We ordered an ice cream bar and a sprite, the CM had noticed my birthday button and said it was a birthday gift! I thought that was so nice! We met some really nice people in the Star Tours section and as soon as I get around to updating my TR, I'll write about that! :] A little later, Jamey got the munchies again so we stopped by the Dig Site where he got a popcorn... I'm not much of a popcorn eater because I don't like the kernels () but he seemed to really like it! At least he sure ate it! :goodvibes
Up next:: more waiting at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater... is it worth it? Stay tuned to find out!

Hello again :)
Not sure if you knew that Pizza Planet has upstairs seating. We went to Pizza Planet the day after you. It was lunch for DH and my nephew, we just showed up to snack on their left overs. ;).
