obviously inventions is in a different league but what is your fave out of the more standard buffet restaraunts.

my mam loves buffets and ash would be free so i think we may try one on our next trip although to be honest as i am not really into buffets i dont know which one would be best.

Ours was Hunters Grill at the Sequoia Lodge, we ate here twice. Least favourite was Restaurant des Stars in the Studios. We ate here at 3:45 (last sitting, I know the park shuts at 7pm but felt this was a little early to have as last sitting) and the food wasn't replenished very often at all, selection we felt was not as good as the other buffets (Hunters Grill and Chuck Wagon), but I know that many have eaten here and really enjoyed it, also no Remy.

The Cheyenne Buffet is by far the best one I have tried at DLRP.

We like the buffets as Kacee eats for free (one of the very first things I learnt on the DIS and has saved me £££'s)

FWIW we love the 'lucky nugget'. the band is great fun and the three times we have eaten there, the kids have had great interaction with the disney characters.

I've read quite a few good reviews about the Cheyenne buffet im really tempted to try there in Dec, im assuming it is okay for me to eat there i have HB plus and staying at NPB? is the restaurant quite wild west themed inside? :)

Ive not done any buffets myself yet:)

It is ok for you to eat there however you wouldn't be getting value from your vouchers. Cheyenne's buffet is on the standard so you'd be loosing money if you ate there with your plus vouchers.

It is Wild West themed inside, and looks really good.

My absolute favourite buffet restaurant out of the good few that I've tried is Restaurant des Stars - fantastic food, cooked to perfection, and loads of choice (plus little Remy as an added plus :lovestruc). And its one of the cheapest buffets in the whole resort!! We had a 12.30 lunch reservation as I recall, and the restaurant wasn't busy, so there was no queueing for food at the hotplates etc.

My next favourite would be Cape Cod at the NBC - again, great food, in a lovely setting.

In both of these restaurants you are shown to your table (so no problem with having to find your own) and your drinks are brought to you.

Only ever been to 3 buffets - Inventions and twice in Plaza Gardens, bet you can't guess which one we liked best? Plaza Gardens was pretty good the first we went but not so much the on our return visit.

We never even consider the Chuck Wagon cafe - we did eat there once a few years ago when I had a dodgy stomach and just wanted rice and chicken. Back then it wasn't buffet though, it was counter service and Denise got a stir fry cooked before her very eyes! When did it change to buffet?

Either Crocketts Tavern or Restaurant Des stars for us :thumbsup2 Both seemed to have more choice than the plaza gardens or agrabah cafe.

I was very un-impressed with Crocketts Tavern in December 08 to be honest with you. It was nice and quiet though :goodvibes

Its a good thing we all have our own favourites, personally my dinner buffet at the Cheyenne in late 2007 was completely forgettable (I honestly can't remember a thing about what I ate there :confused3).

Hunters Grill at the Sequoia Lodge is on my list of to-dos in future, I do like the look of that restaurant.

Previous to our March trip I wou;ld have said Lucky Nugget and if it's characters I wanted I suppose I still would. But overall value or money has to be Rendezvous des Stars, so good that we went back for a 2nd visit. :)

My last trip was the 1st tme we did buffets. I loved Restaurant des Stars( No Remy but I had read they have taken him to WDW for a while), plenty of choice & well stocked. We also ate at Billy Bobs which again was very nice:thumbsup2

Hunters grill is really good. La Grange was absolulty dreadful. I couldn't believe it was meant to be HB+

I have eaten at Inventions and it was fabulous and my favourite buffet of all.

Least favourite was Lucky Nuggett, where we have now had two awful buffet meals there and have learned a hard lesson- wont be repeating that :sad2:.

However, for sheer value for money, delicious hot varied well cooked food in clean (very new) surroundings IMHO Rendevous Des Stars cannot be beaten!

Go for lunch 12.30-1.30 (ish) and I promise, you wont be dissapointed.

:thumbsup2

Another vote here for Rendez vous des stars as well (or restaurant des stars as it now calls itself)
We've had 2 meals there and been really happy both times with lots of choice and food replenished quickly

The only buffet we ate was at Parkside Diner at HNY, and was really good.
Plenty of food, and choice for everyone.

Favourite so far would have to be Cape Cod at the NBC, we had 2 great meals here and the choice and quality were fantastic.

The worst we have had would be Lucky Nugget and would never return.

Rendez vous des stars is a definite for when we return in January.

Lucky Nugget.....is that the restaurant near BTM? i cant think where it is. Ive never been there myself. But i am keeping all these reviews in mind for when i go.
It will be a whole new experience for me, as i have never really been to any buffets or sit in restaurants. ive always had counter service. I have been to Annettes and we ate at planet hollywood once. but thats it:)

trying to think where Rendez vous des stars is aswell!

Favourire Beavers Creek (Only Buffet starter and pudding) best selection. I would imagine Hunters Grill which is opposite but has all buffet is even nicer. Cheyenne also gets the thumbs up. Last holiday June 09 Lucky Nugget bad.
