Did I mishear or did the video say that 10% of the BCV rooms were handicapped accessible? That seems extraordinarily high to me. Can someone familiar with hotel management speak to that?

Someone in another thread spoke of being placed in a handicapped room without being told, and that room had no bathtub and no closets. If that's what we're looking at in BCV, it sounds like a lot of people are going to be placed in undesirable rooms against their will. If I am misreading the situation, please explain.

There are 29 Handicap villas which is 10% of the total.

Erikthewise, I've stayed in studio handicap accessible rooms at both OKW and BWV and didn't mind them at all. The shower area was large and had a pull-down bench. Since I don't take baths and only take showers, I did not miss the tub.

The one and 2 bedroom units would still have the whirlpool tub and closets. I'm guessing that they are using the closet space to make the abthroom large enough to have a roll in shower (strictly a guess).
Also other WDW resorts have some fully wheelchair accessible rooms with roll in showers and some that have bathtubs with grab bars. Some people with disabilities need raised seat toilets and grab bars, but also need a bathtub. I'm assuming that some of the handicapped rooms at BCV would be that sort of room.

I believe the lack of closet space has to do with the wheelchair accessible vanity unit. In the standard bathrooms (at OKW, not sure about others) there is a lot of closet space built under the vanity unit, but this is removed to enable wheelchair access.

I don't know whether closet space elsewhere is affected.
