Best place to buy the nifty fifty lens??

I want to buy one and get it here before my trip. Where is the best place with lowest price and quick shipping???

Is this a good lens for night time parades and fireworks? Anyone want to walk me through using it?

I have a Cannon EOS Rebel XSi. I got it for Mother's Day and it came with two lenses, the 18-55 and 55-250. So far I haven't done anything other than shoot in auto mode. I'm running out of time to learn too much before my trip but I can try to cram. ;)

So, should I get the Nifty Fifty? If so, which other lens should I take with me? Which ones are best for certain things in the parks, like character meals, castle shots, fireworks, etc.?

I saw Adorama had a refurb one for 75.00 a week ago and if you go thru bing.com you can save a few extra dollars.

I have been watching the price on this one for about two weeks on Amazon. It has ranged from about $93 to about $105. Today it is $99.99.

Personally, I am a VERY loyal Amazon customer and I will be purchasing mine there at some point in the next week or so. I also have a Prime acct so 2nd day shipping is free for me :) They have a great return/exchange policy.

I want it for landcape photography. I heard this is one of the best for that.

50mm for landscape photography? I guess it could be used for that...but generally I would go much wider for landscapre. 50mm = 88mm on crop and that's pretty much a very short telephoto at that point.

I have to agree. You are going to have a difficult time fitting everything in the frame for landscape photography at that focal length.
