Looking forward to the Gluten Free Part. My DH does not have any medical condition that calls for it but the last few months has taken all gluten and basically any type of processed foods out of his diet. Just wondering what he is going to be able to find.

We checked in to All Star Sports at about 7:30 pm. We were hungry and hot. We were on the regular dining plan and we knew portions were large. We decided to order two of the Chicken and Penne Alfredo. Each came with a small salad and breadstick. JJ got a rootbeer, JH got an orange soda and I purchased a refillable mug and got lemonade. The kiddos were able to get their sundaes for dessert after the finished their meals. JJ thought the meal was okay. JH thought it was pretty good but she hasn't met a pasta that wasn't. Me, the chicken had a decent flavor, the pasta a little mushy, the salad was pretty fresh tasting, the breadstick, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, light garlic flavor. All is all a decent meal for a food court.
JH and I split a lunch version of this meal later in the week and I will post a picture for that.
The kiddos headed for the pool and I headed for team spirits to see if I could find me any of the drinks I've seen on these boards. I found this:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4461.jpg
A Pina Colava, basically a Pina Colada with Bacardi Raspberry puree. YUM!!!:drinking1 This was to become a habit while the kiddos played in the pool.
Up next Breakfast at the resort, Lunch at Typoon Lagoon and Dinner at the Plaza Restaurant.

Today we planned as our Typhoon Lagoon Day with a nap and EMH hours at Magic Kingdom. I had a bowl of Cheerios and tea, sorry so boring. JJ and JH decided to split one of these:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4962.jpg
A Mickey waffle, no bacon, no sausage, no strawberries, just a plain waffle with syrup. JJ drank the blue powerade and JH drank the OJ, which she says tastes bitter, but drank it anyway. Mickey waffles are always yummy!!!!

Okay so I left the camera at the resort. Sorry no pics but I will review what we did eat. We ate at Leaning Palms. JH ordered a Pepperoni Pizza meal and got a salad instead of desert. JJ ordered a double cheeseburger and fries and got a salad instead of desert. So my first problem was that they only had honey mustard for salad dressing, was okay but not great as I was the one eating the salads. JJ shared a little of his burger, typical disney burger, not great. Fries were very good. At this point I looked over at JH and she is picking the pepperoni off her pizza and making a pile. I asked her why she is doing this....because they don't have cheese pizza!!!!!!:confused3:confused3
I'm really starting to worry about this girl, they do offer cheese pizza, I guess she just missed it on the menu. Now the reason we didn't get desert is we wanted to split one of the Garbage Pail Sundaes for Happy Landings, so we walked over and IT WAS CLOSED!!!!!! JJ and JH were totally bummed. We ssaw a CM and Jh went over and asked him why it was closed. CM told her that Happy Landings does not open until noon. Okay it was only 11:30 so we decided to hang out in the surf pool until it opened. We ordered one sundae and between the three of us we finished all but the bottom layer of fudge and cookie pieces. It was vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream, hot fudge, strawberry sauce, crushed chocolate cookie pieces, waffle cone pieces, nuts, whipped cream, cherries. YUMMY!!!!!!!

Okay after our nap we heades to Magic Kingdom for evening EMH. We had ressies for 7:40 at the Plaza Restaurant. JJ ordered the Rueben.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4476.jpg
He must have really enjoyed this because he only shared one bite of the entire sandwich. He did share the fries. The one bite I had was very tasty.
So before we left I read many, many reviews on this board. JH would come in once in a while and sit with me and look over the pics. She was fascinated with a particular poster's Sorcerer Mickey. Wouldn't you know she found one of her own. She used this Mickey for most of her meals, and some of ours too!
JH ordered the Strawberry Chicken Salad. It was huge!!
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4478.jpg
She enjoyed this but did not even put a dent in the huge portion that came out. I tried a bit of it and it was very good. Chicken was not too dry and lettuce and veggies were cold and crisp. Just the right amount of dressing.
I ordered the vegetarian sandwich with the homemade chips.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4479.jpg
The sandwich I found to be lacking in flavor. The roll was very dry and the pesto was no help for it. Now the housemade chips were amazing and JJ ate most of them before I realized it. We contemplated dessert but decided against it. The waitress assumed I would be using our dining plan credits and had to go back and fix our check because this was one of the meals I had planned to pay OOP. She seemed a little irritated but not my fault. Overall we enjoyed our meal here and will go back.
Okay so about midnight JJ was tired and went back to the resort, JH and I headed toward Fantasy Land and she wanted to ride Peter Pan. On our way we passed Sleepy Hollow, we had to have:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4525.jpg
A funnel cake, which counted as a snack as long as you don't have the strawberry put on it. We devoured this and enjoyed every last bite.
Next up Another Endzone breakfast, Wolf Gang Puck Express Lunch, Boma Dinner.
Loving your reviews. We have a very picky and a very very picky in our group. my ds11 is the very very - keep hoping one day he is going to realize what he is missing!!!

:welcome: to everyone!! I hope you enjoy our reviews. I was up in the air at the beginning of the trip but JJ and JH wanted to contribute so here we are. They had as much fun taking food pics as I did. They are taking the reviews very seriously and we were able to get JH to try a bunch of new stuff using the reviews as an excuse that we really needed everyone's opinion on the food. Now she wouldn't try everything but she did try alot that she would never have if not for these reviews. So I would like to thank everyone who has posted reviews in the past few months, you have really helped me expand her tastes. Stay tuned and you will see.

Okay JH and I returned to the resort at about 2 AM, I woke at about 9 AM. Not much sleep and JJ and JH were still sleeping, so I decided today would be bagels, fruit, juice and lots of tea for me. This is where my resort mug comes in handy. I just fill with hot water, add a tea bag brought from home as I am ver picky about my morning caffine, some sugar and some cream and inhale as quickly as possible before I can function. Sorry once again I have no pics of breakfast but we had a raisin bagel and an everything bagel and two fruit bowls. Both the bagels were fresh and tasty, although the everything bagel had rye seeds in it which we aren't used too. Fruit was really good. It had grapes, cantelope and honey dew. Not a bad use of some snack credits.

So we decided to try to ride in the Balloon so that meant a trip to Downtown Disney. When we arrived the balloon was up in the air so we hopped in the short line. Wouldn't you know it, it was too windy and they said it would be about and hour and a half before they would attempt another run. Okay so on to plan B. JJ and JH were hungry. Okay Earl of Sandwich or Wolf Gang Puck Express, JH says, "Mom, What would you like?" So I say, I really want to try Wolf Gang Puck Express." JJ and JH are both like okay we remember where that is. So off we go. We look over the menu and we order.
JJ orders the the BBQ Chicken Quesidilla and a frozen yogurt.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4538.jpg
JJ had about a piece and half of this and pronounced it not what he thought it would be. He would not eat any more. The very nice waitress noticed he wasn't eating and asked if he would like something else. He declined and ate some of JH's mac and cheese and salad. I was very impressed with the waitress as it was very busy and she still noticed he was not eating. Left a little extra in the tip. So he decided his tummy is off and ordered plain vanilla frozen yogurt no topping, BORING!!!!! and not his style at all. Said it was good but didn't eat much.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4540.jpg
JH ordered the Mac and Cheese which came with a side salad and a frozen yogurt.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4536.jpg
Salad was good she didn't eat much of it though.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4537.jpg
She loved the mac and cheese, very creamy and cheesy. It is also pasta so she ate a good portion but still shared with her brother. Sometimes they are so good to each other.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4541.jpg
Okay so I thought she ordered plain vanilla with reeses pieces but she got twist instead, she was okay with this so I didn't say anything. She ate most of it up and proclaimed it good.
I also ordered the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla and a cream brulee
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4538.jpg
I have been drooling over pics of this for months, I was not dissappointed. Just enough spice to give it a little kick, with a little sweet in the BBQ, crispy tortilla with melted cheese and chicken. I finished all of mine.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4539.jpg
This came out with my meal. By the time I ate it, it was completely cold but very good. JJ and JH both tried some and I think they both regretted ordering the frozen yogurt as they kept trying to get some more. I am very protective of my deserts.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Brought home a cold as one of my souveniers, so boss told me to keep my germs at home for today. Unfortunately my kiddos say I should be resting in bed and are limiting my computer time. Who's the parent????:confused3 Anyway, I was very nervous about booking Boma in the first place. JH is very picky and I was way concerned that she would only eat from the kids station. Well we discussed it and her first plate would be trying new things and if she didn't like it she could make a plate from the kids stuff. So Her first plate:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4578.jpg
Now JH is a ranch dressing kind of girl. She has the apple vineagrette on her greens...she liked it and ate almost all of it, JJ and I both tried a bite and it was tasty. She loves strawberries so that is a no brainer at every buffet.
JJ and I wanted to try all the different soups, but wanted to try the dressings for the salads too. This is JJ's first plate:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4579.jpg
He has some mic=xed greens with the chili cilantro dressing and some tomato and watermelon salad. The dressing was alright, had a little kick to it. Tomato and watermelon had a weird taste. This was his soup choice:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4580.jpg
Carrot Ginger Soup...This was a smooth soup. It was soooo good. Even JH tried it and liked it. A perfect blend of veggie and spice. We finished the whole bowl.
My first plate and soup choice:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4577.jpg
Some mixed greens with mango vineagrette...very sweet with a little tang from the vinegar. My soup was Pearl Cous-cous Seafood Soup. It had mussels, shrimp, pieces of fish(not sure what kind), chucks of carrots and lots of cous-cous. I really liked the flavor of this soup. Broth was very mild and seafood was cooked perfect, not rubbery at all. JJ tried some and said it was good and tried to take the rest. Uh no, go get your own kid!!!!!
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4581.jpg
S I went up to grab the other three soups. There is the chicken pepper pot, Sausage and Lentil, Curry chicken stew. The pepper pot was okay, the curry one was okay, but the Sausage and Lentil had a very good flavor. JH would only try a bite of each and shuddered after each one. JJ liked them but still liked the Carrot and Ginger one the best. So off we go to the rest of the Buffet.
JH's first trip to the rest of the buffet, at this point she says it all looks way too different and can she just have the kids stuff. Uh no, that's not what we talked about. So she goes up to the buffet with JJ all pouty and mad. They returned to the table and she's very upset that he "made" her get the things on her plate. So I told her to just try it and we'd see.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4582.jpg
So she has a piece of prime rib, no sauce, FuFu, Durban spiced Chicken, potatoes with Afritude, Mealie pap, and some bobtie. Didn't like anything but the mealie pap, basically a corn muffin. Meats tasted too spicy, didn't like the white potatoe chunks in the Fufu, Bobtie was gross, her face was priceless, I wish I had gotten a picture. She is now begging to go to the kids station...okay I tried. She ate mac and cheese, I think.
JJ came back at the same time as JH, this is his plate:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4583.jpg
He had alot of the same things at JH, but added some nut crusted salmon. He must have been really hungry before he sat down because that was the way the watermelon came to the table, already eaten. He tried everything, and said it was okay. His meat has the tamarind sauce on it and he didn't really care for the flavor. He liked both kinds of potatoes. Took a couple bites of the salmon and proclaimed the nut topping to spicy.
Here is my plate:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4584.jpg
I had alot of the same as the kiddos but I added some ribs, some Saffron rice. I had put a little of the Tamarind sauce on my plate next to my meat. The beef was good with and without the sauce, the sauce has a little kick but was not overly spicy. Not a real BBQ flavor though. The chicken was nasty. I can't explain why but one bite was enough. The potatoes were okay, not great. The rice was good. The ribs were very fatty, so fatty that I didn't try very hard to find the meat because their wasn't much on those bones. The salmon was good, the nut topping was a little spicy but now a hot spice. The bobtie was awful, just too spicy. That was all I could taste was spices. I did try to get some pork on two different trips to the buffet but they didn't have any. Now on to desert:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4586.jpg
Okay so we did try a little of everthing on the buffet, I had pictures of three plates but can only find one:confused3. We'll start with the top, this was some kind of cake, it was dry and gross. Next was a Tirimisu kind of tart, JJ said gross, JH wouldn't even try it, I thought it was only okay. Nest was an upside down cheesecake. OMG, this was good. It had pineapple pieces in it and was very creamy and cold. Okay the Zebra Domes, JJ said "What's the big deal, only okay." JH thought they were kinda gross. Me, they are good, but not good enough to rave about. The chocolate mouse things were too bitter. The thing in the middle, was just plain nasty!!! I don't remember what it was but we each took a bite and spit it out. Gross!!!!! We did try the banana bread pudding, was okay nothing to rave about. The fresh cobbler was pear and was okay. JH tried the chocolate chip cookie and said it was too dry.
I had heard so many good things that I was really excited to try this buffet, now I can say I tried it. I don't think we'll be going back. I really wasn't that impressed with the offerings.
Okay that's it for today, JJ and JH have been nagging me to go lie down. So off I go, But MOM I'm not tired!!!!!!
Up next, Sci Fi lunch, and Tutto Italia for dinner. Hope you enjoyed my reviews.

great reviews, enjoying them immensely...I'm with JH & JJ on the Boma spices...too much! I would have eaten off the kids station there too, if I could have gotten anywhere close to it (place was slam/jam packed when we were there - 10 min. waits to get to any station & the kids station was longer than that.)
The bread pudding was the only dessert we really liked (did you put the vanilla rum sauce on the bread pudding...that was what really put it over the top good)
Your picture of the reuben from the Plaza made me hungry!
And thanks for that adult beverage picture! I can't wait for my first pina colava when we arrive a week from Saturday...that says "You have ARRIVED at Disney" to me (spend half the year trying versions at other restaurants that sound like they should taste the same but never, ever measure up to the Disney version. Must be the pixie dust they add at Disney:goodvibes)

So since I have no idea what we did for breakfast I'll go straight to lunch. We were hungry and we had 11:25 am ressies for Sci Fi. My original plan had be to grab a snack about 10:30 to tide us over but I could not locate the snack of choice, an apple stuffed pretzel. So a little after 11 we checked into Sci-Fi. We knew to stick to sandwhiches and burgers from the many reviews we had read before hand. We we seated in car, and JH and I shared the front and put JJ in the back by himself. JJ and JH wanted shakes and decided to share a burger and I wanted a Rueben and onion rings. I offered JJ half my sandwich and onion rings...he is a growing boy after all.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4618.jpg
JH's vanilla shake
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4619.jpg
JJ's strawberry shake
Both shakes were very thick and they were scooping it out to begin with. It took awhile before they could drink them through the straw. Both loved their shakes. Me I drank a water. I was hoping to save some room for desert.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4621.jpg
JH's half of the burger, seperated in the kitchen, she requested no onion and no pickle on her half. As you can see, she loves her some fries with her ketchup. JJ's portion was the same just add the onion and pickle.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4622.jpg
Here is my portion of the sandwich after I had given JJ half and part of the rings. There is an additional $2 charge to sub rings for fries and we got 6 or 7 rings. The sandwich was good, the rings a little soggy and greasy. JJ and JH both said the burger was good.
Now I had been thinking about ordering desert, but it took our waiter forever to do anything so I skipped desert and paid the bill.
JJ&JHsmom
08-27-2009, 05:37 PM
Since I wanted to watch the afternoon parade, and we had passed on desert, I felt a sweet snack as we waited was in order. JJ just wanted a water:confused3. JH and I walked over to Starring Rolls and this is is what we had:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4661.jpg
JH's choice was a white chocolate cupcake. This was huge!!!!. She only ate a couple bites of it. I tried some, the white chocolate was good, the frosting was overly sweet, the cake was dry. Oh well it looked good. We ended up throwing half of it in the trash.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4662.jpg
My choice was a slice of the Grapefruit cake from the Brown Derby. I had wanted to try this last year but was unwilling to make a ressie for Brown Derby as the food did not appeal to DH. I was excited that they had it.
I took my first bite and......eh, it was okay not fabulous, not even alot of Citrus taste. JH tried a few bites and made a little shrug. Not the best choices for snacks. Oh well. At this point JJ decides to go over to Min and Bill's and get some frozen Lemonades. No pics but these hit the spot in the heat and would become our favorite use of a snack credit.

We were all looking forward to this dinner. JH loves pasta and we had drooled over reviews for months. This place was packed when we arrived for our 6:00 ressie. There was a line of people outside, but luckily we were able to check in inside and were seated within 10 minutes. OUr waitress spoke very softly so it was difficult to hear her in the loud restaurant. JJ wanted the veal ravioli, JJ wanted the spaghetti and veal meatball, and I wanted the shrimp and black squid ink linguini. I have never had squid ink pasta and asked our server if it had a flavor, she said she wasn't sure but she did not think so. So we all ordered, as we snacked on bread and olives they had brought. Oops, forget to take pics, cause I was distracted by JJ who tells me after the waitress walks way that he thinks he ordered the wrong thing. I am looking all over for the waitress, do not see her anywhere, after a few minutes go by we give up and decide he is stuck with what he ordered. Maybe next time he'll use the menu and not his memory to order....
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4701.jpg
So as he watches numerous plates with the veal ravioli all around us, this is what he ended up with:rotfl2::rotfl2:Casarecci which is pasta with sausage. Not even close in sounds or description to what he wanted. Not sure where his brain went but he ate about half of this and said it was okay just not what he wanted.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4699.jpg
JJ loves pasta, not so much meatballs. I figured she would inhale her meal. Not quite. She tried one meatball and said they were okay. Now the amount of spaghetti on he plate was only a little more than she would usually eat at home, but she only ate about one quarter of it. Maybe it was the fact that no one offered her any freshly grated cheese? Everyone else around us was offered cheese for their pasta, JH loves lots of parmesan cheese on hers. By the time our waitress came around with the cheese the pasta was cold and JJ would not eat it.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4700.jpg
This was my shrimp and black squid ink linguini. It was in a slightly spicy tomato sauce and it was yummy!!!!! The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the pasta was a perfect al dente.
Deserts:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4704.jpg
JJ ordered the Copetta Sotto Bosco.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4703.jpg
JH ordered these, not sure of the name but you get the idea.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4702.jpg
I ordered the Gianduja Chocolate Torta.
Now JH had ordered the chocolate sauce on the side because she wanted to take the ice cream out of the puffs and then pour on the sauce. Nope, the server (not ours) brought it out and before she puts it on the table poured the sauce on the desert.:confused3 JH was so crushed, just at that moment our server sees JH's face and offers to get another desert. JH is just so disappointed at this point she just says no. JJ likes his except for the frozen berries(I mean deep freeze frozen, break your teeth frozen). Now both of them are making eyes at mine. Uh, I really like it guys,.... but please mom?! So I ended with like three or four bites of heaven and of course let the two of them finish it while I ate ice cream puffs with chocolate sauce. I keep hoping that they will eventually just learn to order what I do, then maybe I won't always be giving up mine. Oh well we live and learn. I loved what I ordered and would return and hope for a different server she wasn't terrible but she wasn't great either. JJ and JH said it was only okay.
So okay I'm up for a quick stroll to France and a little liquid desert, sadly JJ and JH have decided all they want to to is get back to the resort. No stops, no rides, not Illuminations and Grey goose slushes.:sad2::sad2: Where did I go wrong? Oh well, tomorrow is our full day at Epcot and I have a list of the beverages I want to try!
Did I get to try any alcoholic beverages? Lunch at Coral Reef, Dinner at
Chef's De France, and Mom needs to be careful what she wishes for!!!!!

Love the reviews. :thumbsup2

Okay I wasn't so good at getting breakfast photos yet, I guess I needed more caffine in the am.:confused3 We had ressies at 11:50 for lunch at Coral Reef. JJ had wanted to try this one last year but I was too nervous because of all the negative reviews. This year this was the one restaurant he chose. He really wanted to try the Lobster Soup. We checked in shortly after 11 as we were hungry. This place was packed, people we lined up on both sides of the corrider going into the dining room. There was easily 50-75 people waiting to be seated.:scared1: We were seated within 15 minutes. Not too bad. The waitress informed us the we could have soft drinks or smoothie as our beverage on the dining plan. JJ ordered the Sour Apple Freeze $3.99
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4720.jpg
We all agreed that it did not taste anything like sour apple. Not sure what it tasted like but he only drank about half. JH ordered the Lava Smoothie $ 4.29
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4719.jpg
We all thought this tasted like my Pina Colava, which JH did not like. I ordered a Strawberry Freeze $4.29
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4721.jpg
We all liked this one best, of course I ended up giving it to JH and I drank hers. We ordered a lobster soup $7.99 and the waitress brought out some bread and butter.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4718.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4722.jpg
The bread was warm and the butter soft. The waitress brought 3 spoons with the soup so we could all try a taste. JJ dug right in, made a face, tried another bite and put his spoon down. He did not care for the flavor. JH tried it and really like it. I thought it tasted a little strong but not like seafood. JH ended up eating most of it.
Okay now remember when I said I wished they would just order what I did, well to my surprize they both did. I ordered the Lobster Ravioli $24.99, I had planned on this as soon as I found out it was on the menu. JJ loves lobster claws, JH doesn't like lobster usually at all. I asked if she was sure and she really wanted to try it. Okay.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4723.jpg
Only took a picture of one, they did look pretty much the same. I thought the sauce was good but a little overpowering for the lobster. There were five or six good size ravioli in the bowl. The filling was a mixture of cheese and chopped lobster, there were several large pieces of claw meat in the sauce. As I was eating I glanced at JJ, he wasn't eating much, JH was pushing hers around. Neither one of them liked the sauce. Hopefully they would like their desert. JJ ordered the Butterscotch Creme Brulee $7.99
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4725.jpg
JJ ordered the Chocolate Wave $7.99
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4724.jpg
I ordered the Bailey's and Jack Daniel's Mouse $7.99
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4726.jpg
We each tried all three. The Creme Brulee had a hint of butterscotch flavor, it was good. JJ ate about three quarters. The Chocolate wave was okay, JJ really likes this kind of desert and ate it all. I tried each layer of the mouse seperately and together. I could not tell the difference in taste between the two layers. It was okay but I was dissappointed. JJ usually eats way more than he has been eating, he told me he thinks it's the air in Florida.:rotfl2:

JJ went to ride Test Track as a single rider, JH and I went to World Showcase to report for our Kim Possible mission. We ended up in Japan for our mission, when were finished we were hot and thirsty. I got a tangerine kaki gori to share and she got a Sprite.

It is a flavored shaved it. It was refreshing in the afternoon heat. Not too sweet. We enjoyed it.

So as soon as I found out Remy would be at Chefs, I decided JH would just have to deal with the menu and find something!!! I wanted to see Remy. We had a ressie for 5:00. The line to check in here was almost as bad as the line outside of Tutto the day before. It moved pretty quickly and we were seated within 5 minutes. We started off with drinks, I ordered and iced tea with lemon, JJ ordered and French Lemonade, JH ordered some French citrus soda. These are not part of the dining plan, I had to pay OOP, but I was okay with it. I don't have this receipt but I remember it being under $10 for the OOP part of the bill.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4760.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4761.jpg
I have to be honest I thought both of these gross. JJ liked his JH tried it and thought it was okay. I thought of seltzer with lemon squeezed in it. JH thought hers was going to be more like orange soda. It definately had a citrus flavor but was not sweet enough for her. I thought it tasted almost like Fresca. I am not very big on carbonated beverages can you tell?
JH wanted the Macaroni and cheese, is anyone surprised? I talked her into the Fixed price menu by saying I would eat the Creme Brulee and she could order whatever desert she wanted. We ordered the Onion soup as her appy and we split it.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4762.jpg
I really hoped she would eat more of this than she did. She like the flavor of the broth, but the crouton was too hard for her and she didn't like the cheese. JJ and I split the better part of this. We liked it. Here is her mac and cheese
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4764.jpg
I was a little nervous that she would not eat this grown up mac and cheese....she loved it, it was creamy and not overpoweringly cheesy, she ate almost the whole bowl. JJ said it was pretty good.
JJ decided to order the beef short ribs, but didn't like any of the desert options so he did not order from the fixed price menu
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4765.jpg
He took one bite and said "Mom you have to try this, this is AMAZING!!!" Okay we found something he likes!!!!! I tried it and the flavor of the beef was really good, not overwhelming but rich and tasty. He ate all the beef and a good portion of the noodles. JH even said it was good but was really happy with her dish.
I ordered the Boullabaisse, it came with rice, not potato.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4763.jpg
This was very good. The seafood was perfectly cooked. The rice had a nutty flavor and was a good compliment to the seafood. I made both the kiddos try some. JH didn't care for it. JJ said the seafood was good, not the rice.
So we know I was getting Creme Brulee, JJ and JH both decided on the Crepes with cinnamon, apple and vanilla ice cream.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4768.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4767.jpg
JJ and JH both thought the crepe itself was gross, unrolled it and ate the inside with the ice cream, weren't to crazy about the sauce on the plate either. I thought is was okay. I was aprehensive about the Creme Brulee after reading so many negative comments on it. I took a bite, it was really good. It had just the right hint of vanilla, the top was just right, not burnt. I took a bite of the Madeleine and was surprised, I thought it would be like a cookie, it was more like a sponge cake. It was good. Both JJ and JH tried it a said it was good. They both like the creme brulee too.
We would definately return here for another meal in the future. Remy did make a brief visit at our table, he was very cute.

My plan was to grab a Grey Goose Slush on my way out of France and explore some more of World Showcase before the night show. DH and DN are joining us in the morning so I called to make sure he checked in for his 7:05 am flight. Now he is totally computer illiterate:badpc:, I have left him detailed instuctions, step by step so that he can do this. I showed him how before we left. It has only been five days. This should have been a short phone call. Notice I said shoud have been. 45 minutes later, I finally give up and told him I will call my sister and have her check both of them in. I quickly call and have her check them in and print their boarding passes, call him and tell him he is all set. Now I REALLY need that drink.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4769.jpg
The cost for this was $9.58 with tax. It was really good! It melted fast because of the heat, but I drank it pretty quickly. I had decided to try the Grand Marnier one later.

So we found a spot to watch Illuminations, and I walked over to France to get some snacks and a drink.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4781.jpg
We have a Napolean, a Chocolate Eclair, and Raspberry Schuss, each was considered a snack on the dining plan. We each tried a little bit of each. We loved the Schuss, so creamy with a hint of the Raspberry, YUM!!! JJ and JH were disappointed with the Napolean and the Eclair. JJ thought the Napolean was to crispy and not enough cream, very hard to eat with a fork. JH did not like the fact that the cream in her eclair was chocolate. She is used to vanilla custard in hers. Maybe I'm just raising very picky eaters, I think they were all very tasty and I finished everything in the box!!!! I'll diet later.
Okay so I had stopped and gotten the Grand Marnier slush, but it was melting faster than I could walk. Of course the camera was with JJ and JH. I had to drink some before I could take a picture. This was $9.58 the same as the Grey Goose one from earlier.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4780.jpg
As much as I love the Grey Goose, I disliked this one. The flavor reminded me of the St Joseph's chewable aspirin my mother gave me as a child. Can you say GROSS!!!! I usually let both the kids try a sip, both made the funniest faces, I'm not the only one who didn't like it. I felt obligated to finish it, thank goodness for those snacks to help wash it down.
That's all for today. Tomorrow's lunch reviews will have gluten free option as well as regular. We had lunch at the resort and dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Stay tuned.

Thanks for all the great reviews! I haven't been to a lot of places you are reviewing, so I'm really enjoying reading them! Some of those pics really make me want to try some new places next time we go. Also thanks for including the prices when you know them, that's very useful info. I have been to Chefs and got their short rib and it is amazing! I'm glad one of your children is an adventurous eater. We got up early to make EMH at Magic Kingdom, we had already decided to have a quick breakfast from the Bakery later in the morning. JJ wanted to ride Indy cars:confused3, so JH and I went to the bakery to get some food. I didn't want to carry my bag today so no breakfast pics again. We ere allowed to get a ham and cheese croisant, a cinnamon roll and a drink as a counter service meal. I paid OOP for another drink. None of us was very hungry so I figured this would be enough. We met up with JJ over by the lunching pad and ate. Croisant was very good, none of us are big egg people, but the egg in this was cooked very good, just enough ham and melty cheese to coer the egg taste. The cinnamon roll was awsome:worship:, I didn't want to share and neither did the kids, but no one wanted to walk over a get more. So I got us a cream cheese pretzel, it was very tasty. The cream cheese inside is a little sweet and the salty on the pretzel, yum! Both JJ and JH really enoyed this breakfast. I very rarely let them have any type of pastry for a meal so this was really a treat. JJ enjoyed his portion of the cinnamon roll so much that he stopped in at the bakery on his way out of MK a few times to get one to eat as his late night snack. He never shared any of them.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

DH had called and said they were on their way to the resort, so we went back to meet them. We had decided to have lunch at the resort as I needed to do the laundry for JJ, JH and I and the kiddos wanted to swim. I popped the laundry into the machines and joined up with the rest in the food court.
JJ and JH shared the Chicken Quesadillas and what they said was a sugar free cream pie. JJ got a powerade to drink and JH had a soda.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4782.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4783.jpg
The quesadillas are made to order so they take a few minutes. JJ and JH really liked them. They both took a bite of their pie and said it was lemony. Uh guys, you have a key lime pie. They both insisted that it was a cream pie:confused3, uh okay, but I know it's key lime. A few days later they admitted it was probably a key lime pie.
DH and I split and Ham and Salami on Ciabatta, he got a brownie as his desert.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4785.jpg
This sandwich had a little mayo, just enough so that it wasn't dry. We both thought it was very tasty. JJ ate most of the chips off the plate. The brownie was moist and chocolatey just like it should be. I only had a couple bites, DH happily ate the rest.
I had to speak with a manager in order to get something for TJ. We waited a few minutes and Elba came out to speak with us. She gave TJ a few options, hamburger on gluten free bun, pizza on rice crust, gluten free pasta. TJ chose the pasta. We checked on the marinara they use for the regular pasta, it had a modified food starch, wasn't willing to take a chance on it. TJ said a little butter was okay, Elba retured with a jar of marinara that stated it was gluten free, okay. We were given a pager and told to pick up her meal at the pizza window when it lit up. We are also given a slip of paper to take to the cashier. TJ chose a bottle of water as her beverage, her dessert choices were limited to rice dream and an Itzakadoozie. She chose the Itzakadoozie. We proceded to the line for the cashier. The cashier had no idea how to ring this up. Um, it's a counter service meal, just like regular pasta meal? This happened everytime we were at a counter service location. The cashier finally figured it out, none of the receipts I have match what she actually ate, go figure! We got her pasta in about 10-15 minutes
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4786.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4956.jpg
When I picked up her pasta, Elba had told me they had more if she was still hungy. The portion they gave her was good. Sorry about JJ's head in the picture, he jumped in at the last second and TJ had already dug in before I could get another picture. TJ inhaled this plate of pasta, said it was yummy. She did not want any more, so off she went to get her popsicle. She ate the whole thing. We were off to a great start, let's hope it keeps going as well.

So when I had originally booked our trip DH and TJ weren't supposed to fly in till after dinner, I had booked Jh, JH and I at Ohana's, I tried to switch the number on the ressie, but they wouldn't:sad2::sad2:. So I had to cancel and make a new ressie. I wanted to try Whispering Canyon Cafe so I showed everyone the menu. We all agreed and I booked it. Now I didn't mention to anyone any of the things that I had read could happen. After we checked in I thought I should clue them in. The girls were afraid to go in.:rotfl::rotfl: Once we sat down, our server came over and threw some napkins on the table, told me a chef would be out to talk to TJ and took our drink order. After she walked away, the girls were giggling, JJ commented on the napkins. Chef Eddie, from Rhode Island came to our table. He was great. He asked TJ what she wanted, the skillet, he told her she could have the meats, not the mashed potatoe or the cornbread. I knew this already. He offered her french fries done in the oven and gluten free cornbread. Her face lit up! She also could not have the same salad as us but could have her own or some fruit, she chose the fruit. Chef Eddie said he would prepare her skillet by itself to prevent any cross contamination. Here is her meal:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4808.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4809.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4813.jpg
When the cornbread came out, she was so excited. She shared little pieces with all of us and we all thought it was great. Not dry or crumbly. It was served warm too! She ate almost the entire piece. She loved everthing else except the beans. It was way too much food for her though. She really enjoyed being able to eat the same foods as most of the rest of us.
JJ ordered the Western Chicken Pasta, DH, JH and I ordered the skillet.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4811.jpg
The salad, very fresh and crisp.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4812.jpg
The cornbread, served warm with butter. We ate it all.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4815.jpg
JJ pasta, he said it was okay, but didn't eat much of it.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4816.jpg
The skillet. JH ate all the potatoes, didn't leave any for DH and I. The meats were good, we all liked the brisket the best, even TJ. Now
TJ wanted some ketchup for her fries, we had already witnessed what happened to two other tables, she asked the waitress for ketchup, I explained to her that I would be more comfortable with an unopened bottle because of the chance of cross contamination, she said she would be willing to bring me a new bottle and asked before she shouted out KETCHUP!!! Well TJ was horrified by the number of bottles of ketchup she got, 15 including the one the waitress brought her. We were all laughing. TJ and JH had a lot of fun running bottles of ketchup to other tables as we ate. They also participated in the pony race. Dessert options for YJ were limited but they had respberry sorbet so this is what she had.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4820.jpg
She said it was good and ate most of it.
DH and JH ordered the apple pie. JH got hers without the sauce
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4819.jpg
They had both dug in before I could snap a picture, they both thought it was good, DH would have preferred it to be warmer. I ordered the Pecan Pie, sorry no pic, but I wasn't crazy about it. It just wasn't what I am used to, it had chocolate, and had a very distinct booze taste to it. JJ decided to skip dessert. JJ complained he wasn't very hungry. JJ and JH had both ordered shakes as their drinks, he ate salad and cornbread too. I think he was just full. The shakes were $5.99 each, the skillets were $26.99 each, JJ's pasta dish was $18.99, Apple pie $7.99, Sorbet $6.99, Pecan Pie $7.49, total with tax $180.41. I am so glad to have the dining plan! We all left with full bellies and would definately return here. I am glad we came.

We had ressies for 12:05, we ran from the Imagination Pavillion, DH and the kids would not leave the cameras!!!! We were hungry and could not wait for the bread. A chef came out to talk to TJ, they discussed what she could and could not have. She really wanted the Maple Creme Brulee for dessert, it is gluten free but not dairy free. It has lots of heavy cream and he told her it would ruin the rest of her day if she ate a whole one. She decided on the filet with roasted potatoes($25.99), a bottled water to drink($3.25), and rice dream($3.50) for dessert. The chef told her she could not eat any of the bread sticks, but he would send her out some gluten free rolls.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4846.jpg
The gluten free rolls, she was hesitant to even try these as gluten free bread is usually gross. She took her first bite and smiled. She did not even share a bite! She ate both of the rolls quite happily.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4847.jpg
Her filet and potatoes, she ate everything. Not a single bite left on the plate. She said everything was great.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4851.jpg
Her Rice Dream, she didn't eat much of this. More on this later.
DH and JJ ordered the Filet with the mushroom risotto($25.99) both had root beers($2.29).http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4848.jpg
Both were very happy with this choice and both cleaned their plates. JJ gave me a taste and it was cooked perfectly and very good.
JH and I ordered from the Chef's choice menu($28.99) as we both love the cheese soup.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4844.jpg
JH shared her soup with DH and I shared mine with JJ. JH and JJ ate most of the soup. It was really good, a little salty for me but everyone else said it was perfect. JH orded a burger and I ordered the steak salad
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4849.jpg
JH's burger was cooked perfectly, she ate about half of it and maybe half the fries. DH tried the burger and said it was good.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4850.jpg
The Steak Salad, this was the perfect portion. The salad was fresh with just enough cheese and dressing to compliment the greens, but not overpower them. My Steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, very tender. I cleaned my plate.
We were all very happy with our entrees, the only complaint I had was I ordered and unsweetened Iced tea with lemon and had asked for some suger. I never received the sugar, I asked twice and then gave up. JJ laughed everytime she gave someone else a refill, I drank very little of the tea, as I really need the sugar to sweeten me up.
Okay, dinnertime for the kiddos, dessert will be in the next post.

JH really wanted the Smores dessert so DH said he would order that if she would order the Chocolate moose. \
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4854.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4855.jpg
They shared the two between them and both enjoyed them.
I ordered the Maple Creme Brulee, I had been looking forward to trying this for months.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4852.jpg
It was delicious, very creamy with the lightest hint of maple. TJ asked if she could have a bite, so I agreed. She ate over half!! She just kept reaching over and taking another bite. Guess she really liked it too. I was a little worried about our plans for the afternoon but it turned out fine.
Now JJ always has to be different, so that we can share. He ordered the Semifreddo, which I cannot find a description of anywhere.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4853.jpg
It was very good though. He keeps saying marshmallow when I ask about it:confused3. It was served some type of wine sauce and JJ said that he could taste the wine but it was very good. I was so busy trying to protect my creme brulee, that I didn't sneak a bite of this. It was gone too fast. We all enjoyed our meals and we left full and happy. TJ called home to tell her Mom what a great meal she had. I was starting to relax about meals with her.

We checked in at about 5:30 and were seated within minutes. It seemed pretty busy. OUr waitress took our drink order and told us the Chef would be out shortly. He chatted with TJ for a few minutes and she decided on the roast Turkey, french fries and peas. She would also be getting her own salad with oil and vinegar, some more gluten free rolls, dessert choices were, brownie, rice dream or Itzakadoozie popsicle. She chose the popsicle. I was a little disappointed that she could not have had the turkey and the steak. The chef said they were both gluten free.

Sorry only got a picture of her dinner. She did not eat the salad as she doesn't care for the oil and vinegar, she likes vineagrette:confused3:rotfl: Um okay then. She ate both the rolls they sent out(didn't share these either) and a good portion of her dinner. She said it was good. It looked plain compared to this:

JH wanted some mac and cheese and the waitress was nice enough to bring her some. We had eaten here last year for lunch and enjoyed it. No more catfish, it was Mahi Mahi. The stuffing was REALLY wet, yuck!!!! The Turkey and the steak were good. The salad and rolls were good. JH enjoyed the mac and cheese. The charaters were great with the girls. TJ and JH needed to run to the girls room, when we retured, dessert was on the table.

There was also TJ's popsicle which she opened and started eating. There were two worms and dirt and the Blueberry Cake in the middle of the table. There were no bowls or plates to put it on. The waitress had told DH she would be right back with some. So we waited, JH and JJ ate their worms and dirt, TJ ate her popsicle, and we waited. JJ put his worms off to the side to eat after the Blueberry cake. The waitress comes over and starts clearing away the dishes from worms and dirt, remembers we are waiting for plates and runs off. She finally came back with spoons and plates so we could eat. But in the meantime she has taken JJ's worms!!! She brings the check and JJ gives her a hard time about stealing his worms. She laughed and brought him some more. It was a good meal not a great one, but the character interaction was great. JJ even got a couple of the other servers involved in a discussion of who was older Chip or Dale? They say Dale is but who knows. Total with tax $165.03
Up next: Breakfast at the resort(I finally took pictures), lunch at the resort, and Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose's. This was by far the best Gluten free meal she had.

I found some receipts for breakfast. It seems we had bagels, a cinnamon roll and fruit again. I used a counter service meal for a continental breakfast and a couple snack credits for some fruit. I was allowed two drinks with the meal. TJ had some cereal that I had broght from home, no milk as they did not have the Lactaid milk that I had requested before we arrived. I did not realize that I needed to ask the manager when I arrived to have it at the resort. I was a little upset as I had sent many emails back and forth with special diets about this specific issue. Oh well live and learn. If you need lactaid milk for the morning, plan on asking for it the day before so that they will have it for you in the AM.
TJ, JH and I had split off from the guys and we were thirsty. We stopped at Promenade Refreshments and JH and I ordered a frozen lemonade. TJ wanted to try one, so I checked with the cashier, who then made a couple of calls and we confirmed they were okay for her. She ordered one, drank about a quarter of it and didn't care for the taste.

This is one of my favorite uses of a snack credit. Very refreshing in the heat of the day.

We had to get up and out early as this was our HS day and we wanted to be able to ride Toy Story Mania first thing. We headed to the food court. TJ wanted to try some pancakes, so I spoke with a manager and placed her order. JH wanted waffles, and JJ and I split some pancakes.
Here are TJ's pancakes,http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4963.jpg
All we could both say is YUCK!!!! She took one bite, I took one bite and that was it, they tasted like glue. Thank goodness we bought a banana for her. We went back to the room to grab some cereal for her too.
JH's waffle and My pancakes:

JH loves the waffles and ate the whole thing, JJ ate half of the pancakes and I ate the other half with a banana, there were four pancakes on the plate. Everything came out hot and was good for a quick breakfast.

JJ and I didn't want to ride TOT, so we went off to explore. We were thirsty so we grabbed a frozen lemonade from Teens and Tweens.

Cold and refreshing. I just wish that they were the same throughout the parks. I found that some were sweeter than others. We never knew what we were going to get.

JJ wanted the Quesadillas again, he also had a water and a chocolate cake for his dessert.

http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM4999.jpg
He inhaled everything on the tray. Since this was the second time for the quesadillas, they must be good. He said the cake was really good.
JH and I decided to split the Chicken Penne Alfredo, I also used a snack credit to add a salad. JH wanted a brownie sundae for dessert.

The portion for this is huge. JH and I easily split this and even without the salad it would have been plenty for the two of us. She was able to go up and get her sundae when she finished her meal. She said the sundae was really good and ate most of it. She wouldn't share a bite with me though.
TJ ordered the pasta again and another Itzakadoozie pop.

She really likes the pasta. It was also a huge portion but she ate the whole plate and then ate the pop. She was very full.
Another good meal at the food court.

TJ really wanted to see Fantasmic, I had been reading about the lines, so I booked the package and crossed my finger.
The meal package was $32.99 per person and included an appetizer, entree, dessert and non alcoholic beverage for each of us. The waiter came over and said the chef would be right out. He did not even take our drink order.
Chef Helene came over and spoke with TJ about what she wanted. TJ really wanted Chicken Parm. She could have grilled chicken with gluten free pasta. Chef Helene was concerned about the cheese, she thought it would be too much. I had heard about the wonderful flourless cake they made here, Chef Helene said it had too much dairy and on top of the cheese she didn't think it was a good idea. TJ was disappointed but really wanted the Chicken Parm, so she settled on sorbet for dessert. There were no options for her for an appetizer that interested her. She would be getting more gluten free rolls. After we had placed our drink order Chef Helene came back out and said she had some lactose free Mozzerella cheese she could use on the Chicken and that TJ could then have the flourless cake with strawberries. TJ jumped all over this. So this is what she ate:

http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5045.jpg
She ate every bite on the plate, not one stray piece of chicken or pasta left on the plate. She said it was awesome!!!
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5058.jpg
This was to die for!!!! She shared a little bite with everyone and ate the rest herself. It was fudgy and delicious. This should be an option on the regular menu.
This was her favorite meal of our trip. She loved it!!!!
Okay now for the rest of us. I ordered a Bellini($7.25) and DH ordered a Blackberry Mojito($8.25), the waiter brought out some bread for the rest of us.

http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5038.jpg
DH said his drink was overpowered by the alcohol. He did not really care for it at all. I took a sip and have to agree with him. My drink tasted funny. I think maybe the juice was a bit off. It tasted sour. We ordered the Calamari, Bruschetta, and the Antipasto for appetizers.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5039.jpg
The Calamari, sooo good!!!! Perfectly cooked, tender, slightly spicy marinara. We didn't eat the peppers.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5040.jpg
A little plate of the Bruschetta, The tomatoes were perfectly seasoned with basil, garlic and balsamic vinegar. JH's favorite.
I'm not sure what happened to the picture of the Antipasto, I think we ate it too fast. There was two kinds of cheeses, one was blue, some salami and another meat, olives, artichokes, and tomatoes. We all shared and we all liked everything.

JJ wasn't very hungry so he oreder the Four Cheese flatbread and a Crema Limone for dessert
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5046.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5061.jpg
He ate one piece of the flatbread, said it was way too cheesy. He ate his dessert though, all of it. If he could have licked the glass he would have.
JH ordered the Chicken Parm and the Chocolate Truffle cake for dessert.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5048.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5059.jpg
She ate a couple bites of the chicken, some of the pasta and half the cake. She wasn't very hungry either. She did eat alot of the bread and appys. She liked the cake alot , but really loved the cookie on top.
DH ordered the Eggplant Napolean and the Chocolate Truffle Cake.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5050.jpg
He thought the eggplant was good, I think he thought it would come with pasta but it didn't. He liked his dessert but did not love it, he also enjoyed the cookie on top.
I ordered the Fra Diavolo and the Hazelnut Cheesecake.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5047.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv293/cljhanson/HPIM5060.jpg
There was alot of shellfish in that bowl. The sauce was spicy and the pasta al dente. It was very good. The cheesecake was great, cool creamy with just the right nutty taste.
We all left here full and happy. Total for dinner $205.34 with tax. We ate here last year and liked it and would definately return again. Yes the service is slow and you have to wait, but the food is good for being in the park.
