Paid Off Our Cruise and Got Our Passports!!! WOOHOO! Were Going 9/7/02 Magic

We got our passports very quickly. Took less than two weeks to get them, after applying at a mall post office. I'm amazed. Pretty expensive, but well worth it not to have to lug around our birth certificates, marriage license, etc. etc. etc. I was ver nervous about losing those documents on an excursion. Also, the post about missing the boat, and being an illegal alien without a passport also concerned me.

Now, I'm getting ready to drive to the travel agent to make my final payment on the cruise. Kinda hard spending that much money, but man, I'm looking forward to the fun in the sun!

Off topic, but I grew up in Kansas City and my mom still lives there. Great place (but I can't handle the winters and humid summers!) :D

That's funny, Michelle, cause I was born in California, and moved to Missouri.

I sure miss one thing about California . . . Mountains. I hate the flatness of Kansas City. I also miss the beaches, forests, Yosemite, and desert.

We have wheat. And Corn. And the dirty Missouri river.

But, we also have very nice people, a cheap cost of living, and a central location. All in all, not too bad a place!

You're absolutely right, Randy, it is a great place, I loved growing up there. :D And you can't beat the cost of living, it is ridiculous here, as you know...but we pay for the great weather and those mountains and beaches and everything else.

Now if you could just get the CHIEFS to be a winning team again... ;)
