Hi everyone just thought i would ask all my DIS friends for thoughts and prays for my family at a very sad time.

Last Wednesday 26th June at 11.15 my dear loveable 95 year old DAD passed away. We were all at his bedside but we were there because we were told our mum would not last the night.

Mum is still with us at the time of writing this but is not expected to last past Friday.

We have all be taking it in turns to be there with her. I have been doing the night shift and my sister's doing every other day.

It is such a sad and hard time for us all at the moment, because all this week we have not known what to do about arranging dad's funeral because we know that mum is fading fast and dearly we would love to have a double funeral. It would be very fitting as they have been together for 65 unseperable years. It would be so very nice if they could be cremated together and their ashes put together for all of eternity. So you see we have had to try and put dad on hold while we sit and wait for mum to sadly pass away. We have sat and watched them both fade away it has been so hard on us all.

My love and my thoughts go to all my family at this very sad time.

Thanks for allowing me to express my feelings here.

Sue,

I really don't know what to say. I know whatever words I use will be inadequate at such a time. I can only hope that you know what I sincerely want to say and maybe get some comfort or strength from it - my thoughts are with you and all your family.

Sue, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear dad.

I hope that it may be of comfort to you to know what a long and happy time together your parents enjoyed. At a time like this, such happy memories can be a great help.

You know we will all be here to offer you a shoulder if you feel like talking. I will certainly be thinking of you and your family at such a sad time for you all.

Dear Sue

I am so sorry for your sadness and loss - I pray that your dear Mother is free from pain and as comfortable as possible and also that you will be able to find the strength to deal with whatever is facing you.

God Bless.

Sue - we are SO sorry to hear your devastating news. To face losing both parents so soon after each other is awful; at least when I lost mine it was 2 1/2 years apart.

Just hang in there - there's nothing much else I can say other than I really hope everything goes ok for you.

Let us know as soon as you have any news.

You know we're all thinking of you here on the DIS.
