That will hopefully bring us down to where we want to be, if worse comes to worse we'll remove the Welcome Dessert Party.

Your BEO is pretty good, it makes me nervous that your cake is still over $700, how on earth do people get them for les then $500?!? :confused3

Also I'm a bit nervous that it doesn't include floral as well, because I was hoping to get away with mine for $15000, including floral, and it's going to be a dinner! :scared1:

Oh well, time will tell I suppose!

Your BEO looks good- I'm just shocked at how fast the ceremony adds up! I'm also very scared about my cake now- they're probably going to quote me a ridiculous price! :scared1:

I look it over and I can't believe I'm spending this much for 29 guests, that's including us (24 adults, 4 children and 1 infant) I couldn't imagine a Dinner  eek! We are definitely moving forward with removing some of the items. We might do our cake in 2 tiers which cuts the price from $600++ to $450++, still pretty expensive for a simple cake but it's Disney.

We recently had to get a new florist unfortunately Debbie was not able to get the candelabra's I'm looking for but it was great working her, her prices are really good and she is super sweet. We decided to go with InBloom Florist which have been great and have the exact candelabra's I want for the ceremony and reception.

Hi again,

I'm sure you guys have noticed from my BEO that we have added a Welcome Dessert Party for our guests, I can't believe we are able to have that experience.:cool1: From what I read everyone always has a great time and the guests can't stop talking about it. We are also decided to switch dates and theme park, from our Ed & Annie's Magic Kingdom Tour on Wednesday, Jan. 12 to Ed & Annie's Backlot Tour at Hollywood Studios (cheesy, I know) on Saturday, Jan. 8. We didn't have many participants for Jan. 12 because most of the guests will be departing that day. So, my hubby and I made reservations for 18 guests at the Sci-Fi Dine-In for 6:35pm.

I also made the necessary changes to our BEO to get to a number that we are comfortable with....we went from $15617.27 to $13,477.00

Congrats on getting your BEO manageable, I remember the shock of seeing our initial one! But it sounds like the things you cut are not things that your guests will really notice, and how great that you get to do a fireworks welcome party after all!

The website it great, I really like the intro.

It is too bad that she couldn't get the candelabras you wanted. I had initially wanted crystal ones too but Lee didn't have them so we went with the silver with crystals, but I can't wait to see how yours turn out!

I can't believe we are exactly 5 months away, when it feels like just yesterday we started the planning process. Tomorrow I have a phone consult with Karen our Disney wedding planner, to go over budget and different option for our bar. Let's see how it pans out...

We are almost done with choosing our music, here are our selections...

Ceremony:

No organist will be required!

Prelude - Cab Colloway "Don't Falter at the Altar", Katie Melua "Call off the Search", Louis Armstsrong "What a wonderful World", Ray Charles "Deed I do"

Mother's Entrance - Up With Titles

Groom/Officiant/Groomsman Entrance - Pirates of the Caribbean Movie Main Song

Bridesmaid Entrance - Carrie Underwoord " Ever Ever After"

Bride: Cinderella Movie "So this is love"

Wine Ceremony - Michael Buble "You and I"

Ring Warming Ceremony - still deciding

Recessional - Stevie Wonder "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours" followed by Toy Story "you got a friend in me" or from the Carousel of Progress "there's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of everyday"

Reception:

Cocktail Music - Classic Music by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc. and maybe throw in from the soundtrack Enchanted "Enchanted Suite"

Bridal Party Introduction - Michael Jackson "the way you make me feel"

Bride & Groom Entrance - still deciding but we are thinking of the NFL Monday night Football theme

First Dance - Ingrid Michaelson "Way I Am" or Katie Melua "Call off the search" (we would remove it from the prelude)

Brunch is served - Beauty and the Beast "Be our guest"

Cake Cutting - Harry Connick, Jr. "Recipe for Love"

Father/Daughter Dance - The Temptations " My Girl"

Garter Removal - Michael Buble "Fever"

Garter Toss - Dean Martin "Ain't that a kick in the head"

Bouquet Toss - have no idea yet...maybe Lady Gaga "Boys, Boys" or Donna Summer "Bad girls"

(like we do not have any family or friends that are single we will call everyone that is 21 and older to catch the bouquet/garter and who ever does gets to do a shot with us)

Last Dance - Lady Gaga "Just Dance" or something else

Your music selections sound great! :thumbsup2

I also have a question for you since you said you won't be using the organist. Are you supplying Disney with a CD of your music? And will they provide someone to play the songs at the correct times (and if so, do they charge you for it)? We don't plan to use the organist, either, and I was wondering how this would work. :)

We are definitely not using the organist, we find it somewhat annoying lol...we are providing a CD with all of our music for the tech to play during the ceremony. Disney does not charge you, it is already included in the venue price. My planner suggested to make a playlist so the tech knows exactly when to play each song.

We were married June 29, 2007 in a civil union but we never did a party or had our complete family around for it, so we decided to have our dream wedding with immediate family/friends at our favorite place...Disney! After buying a house and getting settled we finally decided to go for it and we are calling it our "Marriage Celebration.":thumbsup2

3 months and 29 days to go!!!

We can't believe it's flying by and still have so much to do.

I just received our wedding invites and will be receiving my Bride/Groom sign. Also, we just finished moving back to our Florida home, my parents and us drove 1300 miles just to get back. That unfortunately meant that I won't be trying on my dress when it arrives, rather having it shipped to our house and praying that everything is perfect. Hopefully, I'll have pics up for you guys to see

I've been MIA because I actually didn't have anything to report:sad1: but now I do  lol...

I just received my gown and bolero jacket, the gown looks amazing and I am really excited! I feel that everything is more real then ever. We also just finish completing our invitations, we just need to go get some postage. I will be posting pics soon of my gown and invites.

My sister and niece ordered 2 different bridesmaid gowns that they found online at Macy's and which ever looks better will be the winner. My mother also found her dress last night which was a miracle because she is so picky. Pictures to come...

We did some adjustments to the BEO, we removed the DP photographer and added the gel centerpieces with an orchid on top for the DP tables. We also bought these great Kodak disposable wedding cameras to leave on the tables so our guests can be the photographers at the DP. Pictures to come...

We made a pretty big decision and decided to change our videographer because they weren't up to the standards we thought a video company should be. We are instead going with Simply Cinematic (which was our first choice) and we now have the peace of mind that our wedding video will be amazing.

This weekend my hubby and I will be heading to Disney World to check out our mock-ups from InBloom Florist and we might be going to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! I made reservations at the Pop Century so hopefully we get a king size beds because their full is small.

90 days until our Fairytale Wedding!

88 days until the start of our Disney Honeymoon!

At the Florits, InBloom Florist...they were absolutely amazing...their Headquarter was awesome and it had everything you can ever want for weddings. Our florist knew exactly what I wanted and was willing to work on our budget even with my expensive taste lol. He didn't have the exact color scheme or flowers because the flowers they will be using will be flown in from Holland and South America.

http://i833.photobucket.com/albums/zz258/puente0629/SDC12825.jpg

This isn't the candelabra he will be using, they will be crystal candelabra's but the height is the same, oh and no greenery will be used in my wedding...yuck

FYI: The dress is still really big on me so I had to hold it up with my arms on the side. I will be heading up to Orlando on Nov. 20 to have Carolyn Allen do my alterations.

I was so happy with John from InBloom Florist, when we started talking he got right away the look I was going for and even though the actualy mock-up wasn't exactly my flowers, it gave me an idea how the flowers will look on the candelabra's.

Thanks, I'm so in love with my dress and my hubby, lol!:thumbsup2

We were really wanted te expensive dress but it was way out of my sister's budget but I think the alternative they found fit the theme and they love it. I feel like the time is going way too fast and there's so much still left to do.

Yes you have, lol!

Thanks and I think greenery takes away from the flowers plus I hate the color green, yuck! Also, it's just used to fill in the gaps and I rather have lots more flowers. On the candelabra arrangement we will be adding small touches of ivory feathers.

I never got to see any of your pictures? Have you received any?

I notice you are staying at BLT. I am staying her for my VR as well!! Are you planning on having somebody meet your Ana and Misty outside when they arrive as they won't have keycards and you need a keycard to enter BLT? I was wondering this as I not only have Patricia LeJeune and Randy to let in, but also my outside florist will be delivering flowers to BLT on the morning of the VR. Have you designated somebody to do this or are you relying on CMs to allow them in? Thanks.

What I was planning on doing is have Misty/Ana call up and have someone let them in because our wedding is at 10:00am and I doubt there will be a cast member down there at 4:00am. It's our first time at BLT (our home resort) so we are very excited to check it out, we booked a 1 bedroom lake vie, how about you guys?

That's so good! I'm trying to stop myself from creating custom shirts for everyone. I've got one for DF and I, and a bunch for all the male guests, but they're not custom. The ones you've done though look so good!

I REALLY LOVE those custom made shirts!! Where did you get them? I'm leaving for a cruise in a little over a month with a bunch of friends and family and we wanted custom shirts. But the ones that you can order on the disney site weren't what I was looking for.

17 days left until we leave for our Disney Wedding/Honeymoon!

Well, I received a call from my planner (Karen Heyn) this past weekend informing me that she will not be able to be my planner because she accepted a new position. My new planner is Lisa Smith, who honestly so far in this little time has impressed me more then Karen. Karen, I would email one day and I wouldn't here until the week after but so far Lisa has been on the ball responding to my emails the very next day. I think that Karen probably with the new position thing dropped the ball on a lot of things with us, in the beginning she was great but maybe got in over her head with wedding and maybe applying/interviewing for the new job role.

I also I received news that because of a very stupid mistake on my part we still had a minimum room block of 50 when I really just wanted 40 because I knew that 99% of our guests had already made reservations...we have a total of 36 nights booked. But due to a mistake on my part and Karen never getting back to me, the mistake was never caught and now we have 14 nights that are not booked. Now we `have to hope and pray that Disney books them up by our wedding date or we have to pay for those 14 nights!!!! We pleaded and pleaded with Karen but with no avail, I think if Disney really wanted to change it they could and I think if Karen went to bat for us this could be fixed. I'm still in shock and can't believe because of a simply typo we might have to dish out over $1000 for nights we won't be using. With all the money we are already spending on Disney, this should be something that Disney should easily correct for us, for crying out loud "It's Disney, they have enought money!" Sorry for the rant but I needed to get it off my chest...

In other news I ordered 8x10 pictures of my grandmother and father-in-law who have passed away to be displayed in vintage ivory frames at the reception. Also, I received my new custom wedding dress hanger, Disney shirts for the parks and my wedding day purse and I also ordered a "let them eat cake" custom sign for the cake table.

Here are some pics...

My hubby and I are doing the single digit dance today!!! 9 more days until we leave for our Disney Honeymoon/Wedding!!:thumbsup2

I just can not believe how fast everything is happening.:scared1: I still need to get my hair cut, start packing (which we will start tonight), whiten our teeth, etc. Have all my winter and summer clothes out, we definitely want to be prepared for anything and everything.

I'm loving my new planner, she has been on top of everything. She always gets back to my the same day or at the latest the next morning. I'm so so so glad that Karen (old planner) was offered a new position. :cool1:

Other then that, there's not much to update on...

Well, I just received an email from my wonderful new planner Lisa Smith asking if I wanted to upgrade my dessert party venue...

Currently we were at the Rude de Paris
http://i833.photobucket.com/albums/zz258/puente0629/RuedeParis.jpg

and now we are being upgraded to Terrace des Fleurs, yaaayyy!!! It's prime location at the France Pavilion, plus it on a lower terrace w/ much better views!!! We knew we couldn't get this one because its a minimum of 50 guests so it's a welcomed gift!!

http://www.disneymedialab.com/dvm/concepts/Terrace_des_Fleurs_Photos.pdf

Also, I headed to my local Dollar Tree and bought glow sticks for the dessert party and some coloring books for my nieces and nephews so they can color during the reception.

In other news, we recently bought a new camera, which is so far has been wonderful. The pics come out looking like a professional took it and we are so excited to be able to use it at Disney!!! I'm still packing and there seems no end in sight. i feel like it's a never ending process because we need to pay for both cold and warm and it's a pain in the butt.

More news to come, stay tuned...

How exciting!! If you're too busy to get back here, I hope you have a fantastic time! We'll all be not so patiently waiting for your return. :dance3:

We actually leave Friday at 5am but my family and I do not count the day we are in and the day we leave so it seems like it's even closer. ;)

I will try my best to post some phone pics and update as much as I can but if I get lazy, I'll see you all back on Jan. 19.

We are so excited and though some family drama happened this week:sad2:, I'm glad that everything was settled and that everyone will have a great week. :cool1:

I currently I'm taking one large, medium and small luggage plus 2 duffle bags. I'm sure I'm exaggerating but I need options just incase I want to change outfits lol. Tomorrow we are taking our dogs to their Pet Resort, I will be doing my nails and picking up my dads and hubby's tuxedo. We also bought white shoe polish so we can write on our cars "getting married at Disney!"

Friday morning we will be on the road with my parents at 5am, hopefully we'll arrive at the Grand Floridian  at 8pm. Once we check-in we'll distribute the welcome boxes to our guests resorts and then drop off wedding stuff at Franck's. Hopefully we'll be done what that by 11am or before because at 12pm I have my final fitting at Carolynn. I'm really praying that everything goes to plan so we can just if the rest of the day before the wedding to relax. :cutie:

your plans are so lovely - can't wait to see your beautiful pictures! have a wonderful wonderful time and enjoy!!!

we were switched to lisa as well - i had missed your update about the room etc... - and let me say i hope all did work out and i feel your pain! we found a couple things right after the change that actually changed our totals so that we had to worry about making our minimum!! i hope this change is good for both lisa and karen, both have strengths and we all have weaknesses too, but we are really benefiting from the switch thus far....

happy wedding!!!!!:lovestruc

Well, we have arrived at the Happiest Place on Earth!!! :rotfl:We got to the Grand Floridian (complimentary night) at 10am and was greeted by a wonderful gentlemen who informed us that we will be staying on the concierge level :banana:and that we are checked in and should follow is lovely co-worker. We were given the rundown of the resort and shown through the secret concerige elevator. When we arrived at our room it is so beautiful but the real surprise was the view, we have a direct view of Cinderella's Castle!!!!:cool1: I shed a couple of tears because I never expected this, I thought our view was going to be the roof of a building (which I would of been completely fine with). We went to my final fitting at Carolynn's Allen which went amazing, she did such a great job :worship:on my dress, even my mom was extremely impress as she used to be a tailor. After, we headed to the florist who gave us a final rundown and sneak peak of the flowers. Again, everything was perfect and we are even more excited to see the final product.:woohoo: We finally headed to lunch at 2pm at Maggiano's on Int'l Drive which wasz soooo good. After lunch we dropped off our wedding decor bins at the Wedding Pavilion and now we will be handing out the Welcome Boxes to the different resorts.

Hope to report back soon...

So we had our dessert party and it was awesome...our guests loved the desserts and that they were treated like VIP's.:cool1: I must of ate like a gaziilion napoleans, they were delicious and our guests were in love with them:thumbsup2. The only thing I did wish was that after the fireworks they would of let us stay 15more mins, instead we were scooted out of there pretty quickly. Other than that, we can't complain. Oh I almost forgot the best part, my hubby had a huge surprise for me...like I proposed to him he has always wanted to propose to me (he calls it the "right way," whatever lol). So, after our welcome/thank you for coming speech he ended it with a super cute speech to me and him kneeling and asking "will you marry me the day after tomorrow" and of course I said yes!!!:lovestruc He gave me an extra band to go with my original engagement ring and band.

Today, we will be relaxing and then at 4pm heading to the Wedding Pavilion for the rehearsal, hopefully that goes without a hitch.

Stay tuned, more to come soon...

Well, I definitely didn't want the same old costume everyone makes Mickey get plus my theme was 20's/30's and his costume looked like a 20's gangster. It was a big hit with our guests, they absolutely loved his suit.

Disney Wedding A++++: It was the best decision we have ever made (besides marrying each other). We are so glad we did it, everything went perfect. The staff was amazing, very attentive and we felt like the King and Queen for the day. The locations we chose fit us and our guests like a glove.

Lisa A. Smith (planner) A-: I give her a A- because she was great at answering emails, asking questions I didn't even think about and she was great at the rehearsal and ceremony. She was doing great at the reception until she disappeared and when Misty took us to the monorail to take pictures, no one knew where we were:confused3 and they kept asking questions. It was minor so she still gets the A.

Disney Catering/Bakery A++++: The food was amazing and everybody was complimenting us all day how great the food was and how stuffed they were. We ended up getting this big dessert tray which was not included in our buffet and it was a great surprise because my guests enjoyed it so much. The cake was so pretty and it tasted soo good!!! People asked for seconds and were again complimenting us how tasty and moist it was.

Misty Miotto (photographer) A++++: I haven't seen our pictures yet so I'm reviewing the person and she was great!!! We are so glad we used her, she worked her butt off to get amazing shots. She was all about the small details and even helped with make-up and hair touch ups. Her husband Nelio was also great and also worked his booty off, lol. We are very anxious to see the pictures and check her website/Facebook everyday. Also, we are so glad we used an outside photographer, with the horror stories we have heard with Disney photography we knew we made the right decision to look outside of Disney, we didn't worry at all.

Simply Cinematic (videographer) A++++: Again, we haven't seen our trailer but they were so professional and great that we are not worried at all that they will produce a video that is nothing less then amazing. They worked great with Misty and were not intrusive at all. We are so glad we got a videographer because there are so many things you miss and that photography won't be able to capture that the video will let you see.

Carolynn Allen's A-: They were great, she did such a great job with my dress and I couldn't of asked for a better tailor. The minus is for my strap, the buttons that snaps to the back of my dress was not on there the day of the wedding but Misty was a quick thinker and used a safety pin. Again, nothing major which was my worry.

DJ Scooter A+++: Our DJ was awesome, he was engaging, funny and played great music. Everyone is still talking about our DJ and how much fun they had even in a such a small crowd. We are really glad we got a DJ, we didn't have to worry about the music and getting people to dance.

Caricature Artist A+++: Again, our guests are still talking about the caricature artist and how they now have a great memory from the wedding. Some of our guests already have framed their picture. The artist was very professional, funny and his work was amazing.

Dessert Party at Epcot A+: We absolutely loved our dessert party and that it was such a unique experience. Once again our guests can't stop talking about it and how much fun they had. The desserts were amazing, especially the napoleans, which everyone loved and finished off. That night it was really cold and they brought our complimentary hot chocolate which was a great surprise.

Let me know if there's anything else you want me to review.

Any review on BLT and hair and make-up?

Thanks and I knew I was missing something, lol...

Honeymoon @ Bay Lake Tower A++: Amazing!!! We are so so so glad we purchased this resort as our home base. The rooms were very big and the one bedroom was just the right amount of space for me and my bridal party to get married. Everything was clean and yes, there some things stains and nicks on the furniture (from guests) but nothing major.

I'll post pics soon...

Beaute Speciale (hair & make-up) A++++: Ana and her team were amazing (i know im using that word a lot but it's the best description), they took well care of my bridal party and me. They were so funny which actually helped me calm my nerved down. The make-up stayed on from 7am to 11:00pm at night that we went to the Spirit of Aloha show. My hair looked amazing and it was the same look from the Katy Perry picture I have them and my make-up was soft but put emphasis on my eyes.

let me know if I'm missing anymore:thumbsup2...stayed tuned I'll be starting my TR soon...

Reviews...

InBloom Florist: What can I say but other than magic!!! They did an amazing job with the arrangements I wanted and went above and beyond what I expected. My bouquet was gorgeous and the flowers were the exact one's I had asked for. John and his team were so professional and they knew exactly what they were doing. I highly reccommend them!!!:thumbsup2

A chair Affair: The chairs were in mint condition and Ana was so great to work with. She genuinely wanted our day to be perfect!! Her prices are awersome and can't be beat. Again, I high reccommend her services!!!

BBJ Linens: There linens are awesome and also in mint condition. Compared to Disney's small selection of linens, BBJ has thousands of linens and a lot less then what Disney is charging. I worked with Cammy and she was wonderful and very professional. I definitely reccommend BBJ linens!!!

I know it's been a while since I wrote and updated my blog but a lot has happened in the past 2months...my gyno found a lump on my right breast:scared1: and ordered a sonogram which they ended finding a smaller lump on my left breast. Needless to say my husband and I were really scared, they ended having me do a needly biopsy which thank god everything came back negative. So, now that I'm relaxed and not have to worry anymore I want to proceed with my blog.

Here are some pics that Misty sent me from our wedding day...

Annie, first of all, I'm so glad to hear that you got good results from your biopsies. :goodvibes

Secondly, your pictures are just beautiful! Misty did a wonderful job.

I also noticed that your linens look like they're ironed ... is that true? BBJ sends uncreased linens, vs. Disney who refuses to iron them? If that's true, I'd love to know more about how you went about ordering from them, as far as how you decided what sizes you needed and how many, and how your Disney reps seemed to feel about you working with an outside linen company, if you don't mind sharing! :flower3:

I had BBJ Linens deliver the linens and my florist at no charge placed them on the tables. We wanted to keep costs down so we only did overlays for the main tables and Disney provided the basic ivory linens (included) to go under the overlays, cake table, cocktail tables and guestbook table. After, the wedding my planner was nice enough to pack the linens up into the shipping box BBJ left and all we did the next morning was drop it off at our front desk to be shipped. I asked my planner for the sizes of the tables and my planner wasn't really upset at all but that could be because I used outside vendors for my flowers, linens, chairs, decor, photography and videography, lol. :rotfl:

Let me know if you need anymore info..

Thanks, Annie, that helps a lot! I have one more question -- did you just give BBJ the table sizes and they were able to tell what size and how many linens you needed? Or was that info your planner gave you?

We gave them the size and what style we were looking for and they sent us pictures by email and samples in the mail. The numbers of linens you need depends on you; if you only want linens for the main reception or do you want linens for the cake, guestbook and cocktail tables as well. IF you are having round tables of 10 and 50 guests you need 5 table linens, if you have square tables of 8 and 48 guests you need 6 table linens. All depends on what you want the linens for and your guest count.

lol, I knew I missed someone...

Rev. Tim Herring was extremely good, he made us laugh and he made us have a heartfelt moment which in my opinion is the perfect combo for a wedding. Everyone loved him and commented that it was such a nice ceremony. We did a ring warming ceremony and a wine/note ceremony which he both performed perfectly. I highly recommend him and definitely pay a little extra for him to be at the rehearsal.

I would love to hear more about this, as these are the two things I want to do at our ceremony! Did you have ushers to pass the rings around? How did it work out? For the wine, did you mix the two wines and drink, or how did you do it?

Thanks for any info! :goodvibes

Rev. Tim was great at directing this...he had my dad who was also a Groomsman hand over the rings (which were in a little bag) to the person sitting on the end of the aisle, each person blessed the ring and passed it on to the next, while this was happening Rev. Tim continued with the ceremony, then when he was done he asked the Jr. Groomsman to go to the other end and retrieve the rings...For the wine/note ceremony, I had a custom trunk made where we placed our favorite wine and 2 glasses inside, Rev. Tim explained the significance of the the ceremony (we can't open, drink the wine or read the note until our 5th anniversary but if we would find our marriage in trouble before our 5th we should enjoy the wine together and read the note that explains why we fell in love with each other...obviously Rev. Tim said it much nicer and more detailed)...we both bought a Disney postcard to write why we fell in love with each other and had the best man and maid of honor hand us the note so we may place it in the trunk which my husband then closed it and sealed it. Everyone loved our ceremony and thought it was very unique. :thumbsup2

Yes, we had Michael Buble- you and I playing in the background while Rev. Tim explained the wine/note ceremony all the way through the sealing of the box, it's a great soft long song. :thumbsup2

Don't be, I don't mind questions so keep them coming, lol...My vendors would call my cell and either one of my bridesmaids or my mom would head down to let them in. It was a small inconvenience but we loved BLT, it made for some great picture taking, the location was amazing and having the extra room to get ready was definitely a must have. I think anyone getting married should splurge at least for that night a minimum of a 1bedroom villa because the space was needed.
