I'm sad - the pictures are saying Photobucket band width exceeded. I want to see the rest of the review!
Anyways, thanks again for posting. I would never consider booking at Tchoup Chop if you hadn't.

LOVED the 'Ohana review! I'm a vegetarian so I'm hoping for some good food. Does anyone know if Chef TJ works on Tuesdays?
On the vegan thread it says he's apparently off Fridays and Saturdays.

This was such a fantastic thread! I loved every one of your entries, TDCNala (and the guest-posting, ImprovGal).
I think my salivary glands are working over time looking a posts like this. I hope I don't run out of drool before Oct. 14!

You ate really well this week! I really enjoyed your reviews. I do have one question though. I do prefer sweeter fruitier margaritas, which one(s) would you recommend, there are a couple that caught my eye, but if you had to rank them how would you rank these three, passion fruit, blood orange, and peach.
In order of sweetness:
1) Peach
2) Passion fruit
3) Blood orange

Ewww. You Chicago people. Always bringing your serial killers into it :scared:
This may be the first dining review to ever mention a serial killer. And Hitler. Yikes...

Hey, I can't help it if I free associate crawlspace with Gacy. It's definitely a Chicago thing. As for Hitler, at least you were able to go there, while he was stuck with the Electric Umbrella.

A lot late to the party but just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your dining reviews. :thumbsup2 We are planning to eat at a lot of the same places in December when we go and I was glad to see that most of them got very good marks in your report.
One quick question---does La Cava take/require reservations? I am thinking no, but can't seem to find any definite answer online. We will be on the Deluxe DDP and were planning on paying OOP for San Angel Inn since we aren't a fan of the desserts, but if I have the option of tapas and margaritas at La Cava, I think I'd prefer that!

No reservations for La Cava. You walk in. Sit if there are chairs available, stand at the bar, or get a margarita and sit on one of the benches just outside.

And if I use the Simpsons Pictoral Review System again I will be creating a Beyond the Burns category.

Does this mean that you're re-classifying the Tchoup Chop and Jiko dinners as out of the park Homers with the faces loaded?

Homer's there so I don't have to post 17 Monty Burnses and have to use two posts because I exceeded the image limit.

Great reviews! I can't wait to get to Cava de Tequila, we actually missed it this trip since we were to full to even drink when we were in EPCOT.
We also had lunch at Contempo the same day you did. The flatbread was ok.

Catherine, I meant to ask you earlier ... did your Disney birthday gift card increase in value since park ticket prices went up in August?

Was it widely accepted by merchants who didn't sell food or booze?

I bought a Haunted Mansion Game of (After) Life (which should be fun to play while drunk if I ever assemble it) and an enormously overpriced G Force guinea pig for my niece. Her birthday is 4 days after mine and that's what she wanted. Both of those were at Once Upon a Toy but I think you can use the thing at any Disney-owned merchandise venue. There are a couple of World Showcase pavilions that are exempt because Disney doesn't run them but I can't remember which right now (I think Japan may be one)

Excellent; thank you. I may try to use mine at the Festival welcome center to nab a couple of dry gifties for people here in Stinktown.
TDC Nala

Yeah, I think that will work. I have $17 left on mine that I am saving to see what the festival center has. Unless Disney decides to exempt the food & wine stuff for some reason.
