Upgrading BB offer

I'd really like to stay at AKL for next year's BB trip. But I'm not sure I'm going to be willing or able to splurge on a Deluxe next year. So my questions are:

1. Do I book Pop while I'm down there so I know I have a room and the reg DDP (don't want QS plan. and assuming Values will go faster than deluxes).

2. If I do that, can I upgrade after I leave (and after the Oct 24th last day to book) from Pop to AKL & keep my free DDP, assuming AKL still has rooms available.

3. With only 2 of us going, should I book #1 and look for a room discount for AKL that will meet or beat free ddp (we also aren't interested in DxDDP so a discount of more than $80ish per night to cover reg DDP).

4. Does this make any sense?!!?!?:confused3

If you know for sure you want to be there, I would book pop and then keep my eye out for a room discount that gives you a savings above the $80.00 per night.

I do think that they let you upgrade packages after the end date to a better resort, as long as there is still availability. But, since Pop is a popular choice during free dining, booking it now would be beneficial for you, if AKL does not work out

In Dec. I booked BB for this Sept. for POFQ and later changed it to Poly and then later yet added BLT.

We booked the free dining bounceback last year for our trip this year (we leave on Tuesday!) I originally booked the ASSp, then switched to the Carribean and then switched to the ASSp again-not to mention, changed our dates about 100 times. I would book the value because so far we have heard that you will get the same free dining plan with TS & CS meals. Who knows if in April, if they will offer free dining and also if the values will be CS only? I'm going to book one of the All Stars again because I figure I can always upgrade if we decide to do so. That way we are guaranteed the regular dining plan no matter-I couldn't eat CS only for a week.
