Hello, I am new to the college board and I have some questions about doing the Disney College internship thing. Im sorry that I can't remeber the exact name for it now, I'm extememly tired. :) I was just wondering if a person has to attend certian colleges/universities to take part in the Disney internship. I am going to Emmanuel College in Boston for my freshman year and I dont know if it is one of the schools associated with the Disney program. If it is not, am I not eligable to take part in the internship? If someone could help me I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

You're thinking of the Disney College Program :) (usually referred to as the CP, or the DCP, for short). I haven't done the CP myself, but hopefully I will in the next couple of years. According to the CP web site (http://www.wdwcollegeprogram.com/sap/its/mimes/zh_wdwcp/sched/presentation_schedule.html) your school does not host a CP presentation, but that's okay. You can go to a school near you that does host a presentation, or you can watch it online. You do not have to attend a certain college to attend. Some schools are more familiar with the CP than others, and some tend to give more credit to students doing the internship than others. You would really have to talk to an advisor about if you can get credit just for doing the program, or if you need to find alternate ways to obtain credit for the semester (to avoid losing financial aid, insurance, or to graduate on time), or if you're okay with getting no credit for the semester. An advisor can also help you create a plan as to what classes to take while you're at school, so you can graduate on time.
Hope that helped! And if you have any more questions, this is definitely the place for them!
