Florida Gators Football

I know that this is a longshot, but has anyone made the trek to Gainsville to watch my beloved Gators play. I want to visit the "Swamp" on Nov 21'st. If anyone went, how did you get your tickets , how far is the drive from Orlando and where did you stay. Thanks

I have never been to one of their games, however I believe Gainsville is around 2 - 3 hours from Orlando.

I actually booked a flight from Detroit from 11/20 to 11/24 and got airfare for $221.00 Cdn. I purchased tickets from ticketstub.com and got 2 tickets on the 30 yard line in the 4'th row for $130.00 US each. This is a dream trip as I had always wanted to see a game at the Swamp and the Gators have been my favorite NCAA football team since I started watching college football in the late 70's. I told my wife that if she went to the game with me and that I would take her shopping for a couple of afternoons. Mix in 2 days at Disney and it makes for a great long weekend. I looked on mapquest and it said 2 hours from Orlando to Gainsville so now I will rely on someone to tell me where to park etc. Thanks.

I just got an cast on my foot yesterday for a fractured ankle. I am still going as this is my dream, to visit the swamp but I am trying to find out how to get hadicapped parking closer to the stadium

Go for it! I saw Boston College vs Wake Forest about a month ago. Loved the college atmosphere!
