I just wanted to warn something to all those folks who will be visiting DL during this holiday week. Personal Fireworks (i.e. - Snakes (worms), Sparklers, etc) are allowed to be sold in Orange County, but many private properties (such as DL/DCA/Many Hotels) don't allow you to use them, so don't waste your money buying them if you can't use them.

Also, while they are legal in Orange County (i.e. Disney/Knotts/Anaheim area), they are NOT Legal in Los Angeles County. Quite often your sparklers will be confiscated, and some individuals may be fined. So don't buy them in Buena Park, then bring them to Hollywood, while you tour the sites, because you may get yourself into hot water.

I just wanted to let you know.

... just an addition...

they are allowed in some areas of Los Angeles....

I live in the South Bay area, and they've got fireworks booths all over the place....

I'm not a big fan of them, though, since the time someone lit a bottle rocket (illegal, of course), and our house caught on fire. :(

Just to further clarify:
"Approved fireworks only" are allowed in five cities in Orange County (Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, and Stanton).
Knotts Berry Farm is in Buena Park where they are allowed, but Disneyland is in Anaheim where they are illegal.
Even where legal, the fire chiefs are asking people not to purchase and light due to the weather. They are afraid of a large fire since we have had little rain this year. Because of this, they have said they will be much more diligent in fining people with fireworks where not allowed.

Basically, just don't buy them...it's a hassle, and there are just too many grey areas.

Toodles, and have a safe and happy 4th.
