I called this morning to make my ressies and went to make the Candlelight Processional one for Friday, November 27th at the Biergarten. During the CM's "rules reading" she did acknowledge that the Candlelight Processional was 2 TS.
I cancelled the CP. I don't think it's worth it, especially at Biergarten. We saw it last year and I'm sure my boys won't be too disappointed.

My travel agent had heard a rumor that they were going to do this but it hadn't been confirmed yet. I wanted to do the CP, but I don't want to use 2 TS credits each. We'll probably still eat at Beirgarten (cause DH wants to try it) but not worry about the CP. Thanks for confirming!
Can you currently make reservations for the Candlelight Processional Dinner packages this December?

Today was my 90 day + 10 so I was able to. I believe today would be the first day for anyone to be able to make ressies as November 27th is the first CP of the year.
I'm disappointed that it went to 2TS, I don't think it's worth it, especially at the Tier 3 restaurants.

I can't imagine too many people siging up for this when standard ADRs at any of these restaurants only cost 1 credit. Count me in among those who won't do it. I guess maybe that's the plan though; make it more of an exclusive thing. I'm sure there will still be SOME people who will do it.

I just read another post that said not only is it 2 TS credits, but it's a set menu with like two choices. What gives?

No way will I pay 2 TS for CP and then only have two choices of more than likely cheaper entrees. Nope they won't get my business this year :sad2:

I just got off the phone with Grand Gathering Dining and they confirmed that it is a 2 TS meal now, no matter the tier! :scared1:
She could find no record of a set menu but it stated that you could not order lobster. I thought that was weird since I know of no place in EPCOT that offered lobster. Maybe Coral Reef?
To put it mildly I am not a happy camper right now!
I have a large group to schedule for and there are several special needs people in this group. We were counting on the CP package so we did not have to wait in the standby line (we have some behavioral problems that make staying in one line very difficult, actually impossible!). I suspect we will not be able to do this "free" show now!
I expressed my disappointment over this change. The CM was great and very understanding. But I still want to tell someone that this is not good!
Also another worry now....the CM said something about a viewing area for Illuminations. Well that sounds good but again we have scooter and wheel chair people. Will there be a place for them to see? And where are these areas? Won't they be forced to take away regular viewing areas to make room for these special ones?

Interesting that all dining is 2 TS when in the past they offered three different dining tiers to choose from ....
Illuminations viewing areas ..there are several of these all around the world showcase ..I don't think I'd be concerned about this, as they are usually full every night and most folks don't even realize a group is in a special viewing area. I think the largest one is near where the Epoct tree is heading towards mexico. They also have areas behind the fish and chips in England over near Germany ...sometimes you'll see dessert parties set up in these areas ..but they have been reserved in the past for annual pass holders, etc.,
Hope you're able to get your reservations made for your group. Disney does offer assistance for special needs ..I don't know if the standby lines have a special line for scooters and wheelchairs..I know the reserved line does, but not sure how the handle this in the standby line.
For 2 TS, suggest everyone thinking of booking books immediately at 90 days, as what was their tier 1 dining options in the past are sure to fill up first!

I'm not even going in Dec, but I'm stunned by this. Someone posted the fixed menu for Le Cellier on another thread, and the kids options were like pasta or a hot dog (no steak) for $17!! The adult menu didn't look bad, but that kids menu was just unbelieveable.
