Ok...so after seeing all the torment and waiting :sad1: here on the boards over the past day or two, I just had to find an answer!! ....I still have our card with the phone# from our bounceback offer this past June. I had DH call tonight. He told the CM he had friends coming down next week and staying at a value and he wanted to know what the current bounceback offer was for the values...was it QS or the Regular Dining Plan?
Per the CM tonight...he said it was the Regular Dining plan for the Values. :thumbsup2 I had DH ask him specifically are you SURE it is the Regular dining plan vs. the Quick Service and he said "It is not the QS, it is the Regular Dining Plan"
ALL THAT BEING SAID:
Anyone who had been on these boards for any amount of time knows that the consistency of the information is not always 100% from CM's. So PLEASE do not hold it against me if for some strange reason you get information otherwise...:) Hopefully this is good news for some! :flower3:

I called the bounceback number today and since I'm not there yet (thurs) she couldn't give me numbers but she also confirmed that the values would have the regular dining plan.
Hope it's true! :cool1:

It is harder to fill the rooms during the early fall, than say the latter three months of the year.

DBF seems already resigned to the fact that we'll go back next September. (However I will still hide the fact that I have already booked till next spring... ;) ) He always tells everyone how cheap we get this vacation!

Wanted to add that you can also call extension 8844 from your WDW resort room. You do have to be staying at a WDW resort to book this FD Bounceback (they do check to verify you are a registered guest currently staying at a WDW resort), and you have to deposit before you check out, you can't go home and then decide. ;)

does anyone know if you can add on to a bounceback offer. for instance... if I book it for next August and then I want to Add another room with a couple more people, would they let me?? I will be there in a few days with 2 of my sons. My oldest can't go this time, but is hoping I get a bounceback offer so I can book it for him and his girlfriend for next year. Do I have to be on the reservation?? and if I book one room, will they let me add another room onto the deal later, once we know who else can go??
thanks

It is not possible to book bounceback for other people unless you will be travelling with them.
I believe you can book up to 2 rooms with the bounceback. But remember, that it must include at leat 1 night and 1 day ticket per room.

Can someone explain the advantage of the bounceback? Is it getting the room you want/resort you want/is it cheaper? Is it getting free dining when it may not be offered next year? Help:wizard:

I think the advantage is knowing that you're guaranteed free dining even if they don't open it to the public in the spring. And if they do offer it, you don't have to worry about being up at 7:00 a.m. to call and make your Reservations.
Now with the adr's being back to 180, you can get those made before free dining is offered to the public. Plus you can be sure you get the hotel you want. It's just piece of mind, really. It's not any cheaper or anything to do it as a bounceback.
And I personally find it easier to leave WDW knowing my next trip is already planned! :thumbsup2

I soooooo agree with you about it being easier to leave WDW when you know that you have another trip booked :). We are DVC members so we usually have something in the works. On a trip a few years ago I didn't know if I would be back before our big family reunion trip that was 1 1/2 years away. Every park that I left for the last time on that trip, I had tears streaming down my face as I left. It was HORRIBLE :(. I leave for WDW in 29 days for my third year in a row birthday trip with my good friend :dance3:. I am soooo happy to know that I can book trip #4 as soon as we check in (and I know that I will call as soon as I get in my room :)).

Does anyone who's done BB before know what the details are on cancellation and/or changes to the reservation when it's booked BB at the time of the trip?
This year I booked when FD opened up to Disney VISA cardholders but then later had to call back twice and add an extra night, and we changed our room type once.
If we book BB when we're there in Sept, are we committing to every detail or can we make changes to the reservation later without penalty? And is there a different cancellation policy for the BB offer than there is for regular Disney reservations?
26 days and counting.....:woohoo:

Actually it depends on how many adults you have when you go this time. You can book one bounceback room per adult.

You aren't commited. I booked the BB for this trip last August after I checked out (while still laying by the pool before boarding DME) and I made changes since (dropped deluxe dining to regular dining, added nights etc).

a couple of extra days before & after I'm really planning to give myself flexibility with flight schedules. Then I adjust when I have exact dates ready. Trying to decide if we can afford the AKL next year.
What do you think, should I book Pop because the Values go quicker & then, if I can swing it, upgrade to AKL (and can I do that at any time even after I leave as long as they have rooms available?) This way I know I'm locked into a room and Reg DDP no matter what. But can you upgrade a BB offer after you leave? Anybody have success doing this?

We did last year...I booked POP for bounceback while we were there last year - just after Labor Day. After we were back for a few weeks, decided to add 2 people to reservation, and upgrade to POFQ. Was no problem changing my bounceback reservation. Course, the official bounceback offer dates was still going on when I called back to upgrade (I think the promo card in the rooms said offer was good through the middle of October 2008 - I was calling to make the change around Oct. 1 or so.)
Don't know if they will let you upgrade after the offer is no longer out there, though.

They do, I did it for our reservation in 2008... I changed the dates like 3 times because of airfare. It ended up being $100 cheaper to fly on a Monday. :confused3
It was booked through bounceback and we had changed the dates in the winter 07-08

Even if it was middle October, I'd be happy with it. We're still on the fence, September/early October or December. It just gets so HOT!!! No, I'm ok with it but my WDW travel parter hates the heat.

I can also vouch for the fact that you can change your hotel after BB is over. We booked the ASSp during last year's BB and changed our hotel and dates about 8 times. We switched from ASSp to Carribean and back to ASSp again-then changed the dates and kept adding days on to our package. I think that booking longer than you think you will need is a great idea-that way I can just drop the dates that I don't need when we make our final decision.

Hmm kinda annoying, I was at a mnod last week and called the bounceback # and they told me if I stayed at the values I got the quick service dining plan so I didn't bother to book, not that the dates offered were really what I wanted but I hate when Disney cast members get things wrong. Especially IMPORTANT things like this!

That CM definetly got it all wrong. I'm on a French Disney discussion forum and one of the bloggers have reported live that standard FD for next year was offered in values. She will post the flyer soon and I'll try to post it here afterwards.

It was offered during the time you were there...typically the bounceback offers run throughout the Free Dining offer (based on availability). They do offer other bounceback offers during the year, but I am pretty sure those offers are % off room rates.

Can someone tell me what bounce back is, how it works?
When does it have to be used?
BridgetBordeaux
09-11-2009, 05:18 PM
tpettie- bounceback works like this...............
While you are staying at a WDW resort you may be eligible for a discounted return trip some time in the future. You must make the reservation while you are staying at the original resort and you have to put down a deposit.
If you were to go home and then decide to take Disney up on their offer................too late, it must be done while you are at the resort.
Presently there is an offer for free dining in the fall of 2010. This offer is not for the general public and it is a limited time offer.

Here is a copy DISer Marciemi posted of the current Free Dining BB flyer that will be in guest rooms until October 24 (big thanks to marciemi!). Her BB flyer shows Value and Mods, but there is also one for Mods and Deluxes. You DO NOT have to book the same resort you are currently staying at. The flyer shows a 5 night/6 day example, but minimum stay is 3 nights:
My flyer from my room at Pop - booked the bounceback on Friday:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y290/marciemi/2009trip/Food%20only/Bounceback003.jpg
If you don't see a flyer, call extension 8844 from your resort room and ask for code KIL.
Same terms as last year - this FD BB is that you can book a year ahead to get free dining next year. This means you will have the best selection of resort availability, because you'll be booking so far in advance before/if FD will be offered again to the public in April. This FD BB is for dates next year 8/15-9/30/2010. You have to book BEFORE you check out, and put down a $200 deposit, balance not due until 45 days prior. You can cancel, modify, revise just like a normal package reservation with normal package reservation penalties (up to 45 days, no penalty, etc.)
No one knows yet what/if the BB will be for guests after this one ends in October, but last year another BB started at the beginning of November, and was for resort discounts (NOT free dining) for certain dates into October of the next year.
