40% off AND free dining pin, anyone?

Can anyone who was lucky and got the combo deal pin of 40%off AND free dining PLEASE enlighten me as to how and when they received it? Was it by post or an e-mail, and if an e-mail, what was it titled? My worst fears may have come true!!!:confused::sad2::eek:

Normally email PINS come from Disney Destinations and the title of the emails are something like: "Special Offer for the xxx Family" ...something that does let you know there is a 'deal' inside it...not just your monthly email.

OK, thanks! I know my In-Laws got an offer by snail mail last year. I purged a bunch of e-mails from a personal account that doesn't get used much (have work e-mail) and it dawned on me that THAT is the address Disney uses!!! *fingers crossed* a pin # wasn't among the deleated! UGH!

I have gotten the 40% pin and the FD pin in the last few weeks. They will not let me use them together - DARN IT!! Boy if they would, I would have made ressies for as long of a vacation as possible!!

Oh my goodness you ARE lucky!! I just called Disney when I saw this post, and asked if by some chance I had a pin code under my name, but alas, I don't. We're going to WL at the very end of November/first week of December, and we used the 40% off code that I got back in february.

I was hoping I'd have a little chance at some extra cash, if the dining could be free (or discounted, since we got the deluxe this time) but oh well.

Maybe I'll get lucky next time. I am going to take my son sometime in the late winter/early spring. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

That is an AWESOME price!!!! I was thinking it was only for the Deluxes which I can't justify the costs, 40% off or not, but to see that you were able to use it at POP makes me want the code even more.

WOW!!!! If I get one of those pins (40% off and free dining) my mind will defintely be made up between WDW and a Caribbean resort!!!! I've received email pins and snail mail pins in the past but not for about 3 years - my fingers are crossed :genie:

It sure would be nice since we sprung full price for AKL and now many people in the value and moderate resorts are getting free upgrades to delux.

Not really trying to whine or anything--we're VERY excited about our upcoming stay and going luxury was a decision we made and were willing to pay for to make sure we got it rather than rolling the dice, booking value and crossing our fingers for an upgrade--just saying that a price break would be NICE and more than a little helpful with our budget.

Granted I am more a word person than a number person but I am thinking that my Disney Visa package is as good or better than the 40% off with FD.

10 day, non park hopper, passes
'Free" QSDP
Total Cost/with taxes/ $1804.36

Granted this is only a 'deal' because we had a trip planned anyway and were planning on buying the DP and were in need of passes as we do not have an AP this year.

We're going Nov. 4th. We were tickled to get the free dining plan after we had already booked the dining plan. So that in itself was a great surprise. But I certainly wouldn't turn down a discount on our room to boot! We've booked a Savanah view room at AKL which doesn't come cheap. But we LOVED the idea of the kids getting to watch the animals from our room balcony while we eat breakfast every morning!

We used the military discount for BWI which was the reason we are staying there. Dad joked with with them saying feel free to upgrade us ..for free. Got a chuckle out of the girl. But nothing like that ever happens :(
