I am planning to walk the marathon in 2010. Is there a thread here for people doing that?

Hi! I don't think there is a separate walking the full thread, but there are a lot of us walkers doing just that. Some of us are on the Goofy thread, and some are on the monthly thread.

Have you walked a marathon before? I successfully completed the 2007 WDW full, and I love my Mickey medal.

HI A!!!

Just jump in anywhere, the Goofy Training thread, Weekly thread. All have lots of walkers, I have walked a bunch of 1/2's but there are many, many walkers here who have walked full marathons and Goofys.

I have never walked an official marathon but I have walked 20 plus miles in a day before (several times ..with no training!)

Welcome! There are a lot of walkers here(including myself) who go the marathon(and even Goofy).

WDW 2010 will be my 1st full marathon. I have done several 1/2 marathons. Something I've wanted to try and figured now or never. I'm still nervous about making the extra distance in time.

WOW! I didn't think you could walk a whole marathon in the time allowed. That's amazing!! Hummm... makes me wanna try in 2011!

Yes, very doable with training. I am planning my 5th Goofy.

In my fast days, I walked a 50 mile race in 10:32!

Cool! So that was like a 12 min. mile. What is the pace you have to keep at Disney?

The Disney pace is 16 min per mile, for the marathon.
