Just got back from another fab trip and was about to burn some DVDs when I discovered my Nero software doesn't work:confused3 I can burn CDs but I took 10GB of pics so that's not going to work. DS suggested I try Alcohol 120 since I'd have to download new software anyway. He's used it with great success for sound and movies but not photography. Just wondering if it works well for photography. Anyone ever use it?
What's your fave DVD burning software?

I thought this was going to be a story about getting smashed and burning DVDs.....:lmao:
I've never heard of it so now I have to google to see what all it does. When my DH reformatted my computer it stopped recognizing DVDs. Trying to find a fix I've discovered this is a very common problem w/Windows. So far I haven't found a solution, I can't even get my Light Scribe to work. The only thing that will let me burn DVDs is ACDsee software.:confused3

:rotfl: don't drink and use your hard drive. Burning may occur!
I still don't know what to do so I'm going to have DS burn some pics to see how they come out. We set up a folder on my computer of pics that he can access from his.

Alcohol 120% is popular among certain crowds because of its ability to deal with some kinds of copy protection usually used on games - very useful for "backups" (cough, cough.)
What kind of problem are you having with Nero? You can always download an update for it, as long as it's a similar version (ie, 7.x to 7.x, not 8.x or 9.x). You can also look for answers as to whatever problem you're having.
An easy solution is to try CDBurnerXP, it's fairly basic but a good free Nero alternative.
Make sure that you have the software, whatever it is, verifying the burn after it completes!

Problem with Nero was it just wasn't on my computer anymore:confused3I had the shortcut to nowhere on my desktop. Happy ending though.
:love:DH bought me a copy of Roxio Creator 2009. Been playing with it since yesterday and have not only burned DVDs but it makes movies and slideshows and has lots of neat features. Hours of fun and now I can save my precious pics to DVD without bothering anyone.
