I notice that there are no dedicated regional forums on DISboards. I thought this can atleast give other members to introduce or reintroduce themselves in the Mid-Atlantic region(Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia). Add me to your list! I'm in Richmond. I've seen three or four others from VA, so there are a few of us out there. I think the reason you don't hear about more meets is that south of us isn't far enough away from Orlando that folks can't just go...and north of here there are several meets, such as Magic Meets that was just held in Harrisburg, PA. Pretty close!

But we don't have to do anything elaborate, but maybe a Sunday afternoon in or around DC might be a cool idea for a group? Mickey on the (National) Mall?

My first trip to Disney included staying at the Poly. After that we stayed off property. My grandparents lived over on Treasure Island in FL so we would go over for day trips from their home. My next on property stay was the CR when I was in college. Imagine the thrill of getting a call from your Dad at the beginning of the spring semester asking you if you could miss a few days of college to go to WDW. :cool1:

I have yet to make it to any of the Dismeets. I have though met many people from the boards while visiting WDW. Hopefully, I will make it to a Dismeet event someday. Until then I will continue to enjoy meeting my fellow Disney fans one-on-one.
