WE FINALLY BOOKED OUR 2010! DISNEY RETURN!!! Dayne has requested that we go on his Sr. spring break!! It just so happens to fall on what is suppose to be a low crowd time in WDW :yay: We are leaving Sat April 24 and returning home May 1...we are :car:

We were suppose to return in Nov 2010; but, we Dayne has requested we go again when he can join us. So, we were than trying to plan the last week of May (before Memorial Day--to join some of our disser friends) but, Dayne's Sr trip is that week. So, we have decided to go the last week of April--due to testing LA has decided to try something new with their spring break this year; this was also reported to be a slow week (one of the slowest of the year) but, it seems to be picking up according the the UG CC.

So, I hope you join us in the planning...as this PTR was started a good time back I hope you use my table of content to guide you through the chatter and join me at the end for some planning!

I will be back to add our list of characters!

hope you join us in our fun!
remember this is a work in progress; all friends and new friends :welcome:

For those of you joining that have not met me and my family this past year let me start with introductions:

First, there is me::MinnieMo, Connie 41, I'm the Disney addict!!! I could live there if they let me. But, I also love to visit other places around the country
DH:beach:, Danny 44,he is our beach bum; he would move to the coast if it were not for his ailing dad and of course his job!
DDprincess:-Gwendolyn 21,she is currently a college SR. (but on a five year path); she doesn't talk about traveling but if we don't include her she would be soooooo diappointed
DDbf :cool2:- Joe 23, retired marine:thumbsup2; currently living w/us as he is building a home
DS :wizard:- Dayne 17, a HS Sr. and at the point he just does not know what he wants to do :confused3; he too rolls his eyes and teases that I'm addicted. But, guess where he wants to go on his Sr. trip.... you guessed it WDW!!!
and DS pirate:- (for now we will call him) Peter Pan 3, loves everything Disney, dinosaurs, and safari animals...just the sweetest little man I could have possibly been surprised with:cloud9:
(my current dis friends know our little man/but we'll start with a nickname till a later time)

WE ALSO HAVE A NEW TAG ALONGS: Dayne has invited his friend, Luke. This is Luke's first visit to WDW and US/IOA :mickeyjum (we had planned a trip with his parents back in 2002--but, his sister was killed in a car accident about three months before and the trip did not take place).

Hi Connie :wave2: - count me in! I chose CBR and December 5th - solely on the fact that that is where we are headed and will be there this year on Dec 6th. I have never been to CBR but I think it has a little bit of everything for your family - the beach for your husband (he can lounge on the hammocks) and the NEW kiddie Pirate Pool should be right up "Peter Pan"'s alley!

Looking forward to seeing where this goes :)

I'm in for this one too. How exciting. I did choose 11/28 even though I had previously said 12/5. I can't commit. Of course I chose CSR because of the queen beds. I love this cast of "characters".

I'm so glad you started a PTR so I'll have somewhere to write.

Hey girl, I am joining in. I voted for Janurary only because it will get here sooner :lmao:. I think a trip in November would be fun, because you can make it a Christmas trip. I am hoping we can go at Christmas this year.

I meant January 2010!!1 I would love this one!!; because it is so close. But, don't think it will happen. As Danny said we have to go to the beach BEFORE our next Disney trip:rotfl2:a girl can dream and hope can't she!!:confused3 :rotfl:

I figured I would start a PTR; with a couple of the ones we chat on about to end; this one should last us for quite sometime:rotfl2:that and I could not sleep last night!!

I hope ya'll are able to fit in a Christmas trip this year. If I know Danny we will probably do either the Nov or Dec trip because of the Christmas decorations and I have been saying for three years I want to see it. Although, Danny and the older kids want to do Universal for Halloween one year so Sept is pretty close in the running!! It will be hard to decide.

Hoping to get some input on the dates; along with why people would choose the dates...crowds, weather, etc.
They are the cheapest times of the year that I was able to find when pricing room only options.

Pretty smart thinking on your part. I guess by the end of the week I will do Day 2 at DHS. It's a good thing Marissa is gone so she can't get on to us.

If you (or me for that matter) can hang in there until Mid-December I'll be able to give you a great review of weather/crowds/CBR/etc. I went in 2006 during the second week of December and I honestly could not complain. The weather was great and the crowds were near non-existent! However, this trip was my very first, so I have nothing to compare it to. We were also traveling with 3 children under 5 so there were a lot of rides that we opted out of. I was also the nanny along to help with the kids, so I didn't have much say.

So, hang tight and after our trip I'll be back to tell ya all about it! Until then, let's sit back and enjoy watching the minute hand tick ever so slowly! :sad2:

MY PLAN FOR NOW IS THIS:
TO LISTEN TO ALL THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF MY DIS PALS...
THAN sit with Danny and make a decision:rolleyes1. I do think in October I am going to book two rooms. somewhere just so I can start paying on them. I can always swtich to a package and a different resort after we make a decision.!!! :upsidedow

SO, I'M HOPING Dana will bring back all sort of info about POP incase we need to go value--ASSp was nice it was just crowded and noisy--but, our room was very quiet, comfortable and very nice!!! for as long as you are in a room.

I am also hopping to hear about the park experience for each of the weeks we have chosen....Jen (Dec.)is going during one of those weeks and Dana (Sep) another., Heather is also going in Sep...BUT I AM HOPPING LURKERS:surfweb: WILL COME OUT AND SHARE ALONG WITH US!!!!

AND i WANT TO PLAN SOME DINING THIS GO ROUND!!!!

I chose Sept because of free dining and CSR for the queen size beds.
This Sept will be me and DH's second trip at that time in two years. It is also our anniversary. Yes, it was kind of hot but there were hardly any waits. We did ASSp last year and are doing ASMo this year to save money but I really hope to get to CSR one of these times.
Only 34 days left for me! :cool1:

I voted Jan 30 2010 and POFQ.

I think in Sept you have a high chance of a TON of rain. Dec of 2010 will be BUSY! That leaves Nov or Jan. I voted Jan cause you get back sooner. (unless you met Jan of 2011 in that case I change my vote to nov ;) )

Hi! Shannon!! :welcome: over...

you think the first week of Dec would be busy???

and yes, I meant Jan 2010 but in reality I don't think Danny will let me swing that one...THAT IS MY VOTE!!! after that I don't know which one to go with...
I do wonder about Sept and tropical weather; I am watching to see what the tropics do this year and going back to see when it stopped in 2005/2006. Being from LA it is usually NOW - till about the middle to Sept. But, I do remember going all the way to the beginning of Oct before.

stop by again...
your trip is right around the corner:woohoo:
so excited for you...

Hi Connie! I voted for Dec 5 and POFQ. The size of it is nice. We enjoyed our stay there. If you get the wrong building at CBR in the winter it might be a booger. It would be so cool if you got to go in January 2010.:banana:

Hi! Leanne
so glad you decided to stop by...:welcome:
I'm hoping to have fun with this thread and just let it evolve as we go...

Thank you for your vote...I just don't know when I would pick out of the three, yet!!!

I think I would pass out if Danny said let's just go ahead and go in January. I probably should not have listed but that would be awesome.

Danny wants to stay at POFQ, but I would like to try CBR or CSR. POP is if I need to get two rooms (the difference for a value and mod for all the dates is about $300 difference per room for 5 nts--that's almost three 5day tickets! ). I have heard on other threads that POP has its own busses unlike the allstar resorts. just wonder about the noise level; although the dates I have listed should be slow times.:confused3

So, I am hoping that everyone will share their opinion and we can discuss things to help Danny and I make a magicial decision pixiedust:

and let's just have some disney fun!!!!

Hi again :)

We wanted to take our DD for her birthday this year, but my mom was quick to warn me that we would be going during peak Hurricane season - her birthday is Sept 6. I had nothing else to go by, so I chose the slow early December that I had gone before.

I would hate to:
A. get stuck in the rain trying to enjoy our trip
B. get stuck in our hotel room due to an actual Hurricane
C. get stuck in an airport somewhere...

I know I may be over processing this, and i know it can rain any time, but I feel that we made the right choice by switching our dates.

hmm I guess Dec 5 wouldn't be too busy yet. It's also only the week after Nov 28th. lol Not much difference probably. I'd check and see when Thanksgiving is next year. If it's really close to Nov 28th then I'd go in Dec. :)

I wouldn't want to risk going in Sept- it could still be pretty hot and very wet. When we were there end of Oct 2004 for our honeymoon they were still cleaning up from Hurricane somethign or other. Of course Nov/Dec you risk it being cold BUT it could also be beautiful.

That was the year FL was hit by like 7 hurricanes (we were at the beach for one of them:eek:). I didn't realize that I chose two weeks one right after the other until I looked again. I was choosing by lowest price/hoping that means slowest times:rolleyes! Looking forward to hearing about your Oct. trip!

Good morning Connie. Hope all is well with you today. Give my Main Squeeze a kiss.

Late good morning to you Ginny!!!the kiss is taken care of:thumbsup2
we have been bldg puzzles and watching our shows (word world and super why). Have a great day!!!
Gwendolyn started her semester today and has been texting me all morning. I just was made aware this morning she is not a SR but a JR again. She did very bad last semester. Which had put me in a bad mood; but, hopefully she learned from her mistakes and gets herself together. She struggled her very first semester and her last semester; all others were A, & B's. I told her it is all up to her. I just wish she would get a degree that she could do something with not a wasted one (psy). I just wish she would have stuck with biology, nursing, or even education:confused3. So I really have two childdren that have no clue what they want to do when they grow up!!! and she is alot closer than Dayne:headache:

I can't figure out why kids just don't do what they are told. Like I ever did. Sandi had a full scholarship to Univ of Ks and Univ of MO, Rolla (only the best engineering school in the US). What did she do? Went to MSU right here at home and lived at home. I so wanted her to go away. I think the experience is what they need. Of course now she is away and I'd love to have her right back here. I have told my girls they can come home to live anytime but they have to bring their families with them. I could be one of those families that all live together under one big roof. As long as I get my own bathroom.:lmao:

Hope your day improves. Just look in my little guy's eyes and tell him you love him. See, now it's all better.

I picked Nov 28th and CBR. That is RIGHT after Thanksgiving, but usually once Thanksgiving is over everyone clears out. Dec 5th is okay too. I've been during that week and it's usually pretty quiet, but ever since that Hurricane that was mentioned about in 2004 (I was actually WORKING for Disney Reservations at the time) people have discovered the "secret" of the first two weeks of December. So it's a little busier than it used to be, but nothing compared to a couple weeks later. I think you'd be okay either of those weeks.

September is also fine too. That's when we're going (as you know). I only picked Nov/Dec because I haven't been at Christmas since 2005 and I miss it. There's NOTHING like being at Disney at Christmas.

I've only been to CBR one time and that was pre-kids but you know Lisa  it! ;) It was okay. My favorite moderate is POR, but I haven't been to CSR since it was renovated. We stayed there when Will was 1.5, before Christian was born and I mostly thought it just wasn't very kid themed.

I've been to POFQ too but don't remember much about it. I think it was one of those times that it was "all we could get". I plan to check it out some while we're at POR this time though.

I've also stayed at POP. I know everyone loves it but I think it's kinda meh. Just okay. For value our favorite is ASSp, but then we're sports nuts and you know that. I also like ASMo though. Music was never my favorite, but no particular reason why. I'm sure POP is fine. Their food court was a little nicer if I remember right.

Anyway, I'm here, but I'm going to bed right this second. Tired. As usual. Be back tomorrow!

I have been looking over the creative dis threads. I had heard about them but never took the time to go over. Since, I'm having a very painful hair style being done (Chloe loves to do hair):scared1: I have been browsing... I think not only will I get a few for next years trip; but I'm getting some Christmas

We are watching Disney movies; we have finished our alphabet for the day and we were counting gold fish after breakfast. :teacher:

looks like rain today; so not outdoor time and DS3 is still congested and has a horrible cough (probably breaking up--hopefully clearing soon). Maybe after themovie we will have a dance off before a late lunch.:dance3:

Everyone have a great day!!!!

Here is a great idea for you. Austin was 3 the first time he painted my toenails. Just don't let them do it on carpet. It doesn't come out real well. Make sure to have lots of remover on hand. Co-ordination is not great nor is following in the lines. :rotfl2: But it sure was fun.

Sorry the little guy is still congested. I'm sure if he could have heard me sing it would have cleared up anything that was wrong. My voice is like the :littleangel:

Here is a great idea for you. Austin was 3 the first time he painted my toenails. Just don't let them do it on carpet. It doesn't come out real well. Make sure to have lots of remover on hand. Co-ordination is not great nor is following in the lines. :rotfl2: But it sure was fun.

Sorry the little guy is still congested. I'm sure if he could have heard me sing it would have cleared up anything that was wrong. My voice is like the :littleangel:

Did you get to my number 8?

Rain here again. We had really bad storms last night.
No, we have not :sad2: sorry! We are working on counting this week. and the entire alphabet (I have several DVD's that we sing along with for number and ABC's) Ashton can read the alphabet and Chloe recites them, so, we are working on bringing it together. I only had Chloe yesterday and today!!! so not as much work!! more play and learn!!
We are working on the letter "d" and the number 5 next week!!

That was my vote, too!

LOOK, CONNIE! I made it to your PTR!!!! :cool1:

I like the letter 'd' for Don and #5 because that is how many digits are on each hand and foot. :lmao: See I can count with the best of them.

She is right Mel. We must hear all about TN. Then just sit back and see how things go.

I completely missed Dana's PTR until a couple of days ago and she had been at it since June. Boy did I feel bad. We chat on FB and she is on my TR. She is kind and did forgive me. Besides I'm giving Dale hints on the C-PAP

Hey!! I decided to vote and join the fun, LOL!
I voted for November, just because, I feel that would be the perfect time, not as crowded as December!

And I voted for Port Orleans, my aunt recently stayed there and loved it! It is so pretty there, I just love it!

I am so excited to be joining in!!!

That is the one disadvantage of CSR. If there is a convention going on it is very busy. They have redone so all the convention people are sorta in one area. But the dates do need to be checked.

If I remember right the second week of December is when the cheerleaders are there. But you would be leaving about then, right?

I want to say they stay at ASSp, but really I think they are all over the values.

Mel, DON'T close your TR. If you're going to, then you'd better make up a date for your next "trip" so you can start a PTR. I want to hear about that Space birthday party and that's not until December!

Good morning! Ginny,
just sat for a quick break; I have been doing laundry and rearragning little man's drawers (I really need to Danny's and mine)! The little ones are playing quietly at the moment with blocks (we are counting as they build their tower or train;) ). They have already had two run off races around and around and around the house while I folded laundry. My little girl helped with the towels (which means I have to refold as I put away

DS3 had a great weekend he ended up staying Sat nite w/my parents; Danny & Dayne went to the car races Sat. nite. I stayed home pouting and watched "High School Musical 1 & 2" --I had never seen them before. Danny & Dayne did not get home until 1:30 am so needless to say I was not happy all day Sunday either. We finished the weekend with dinner at my parents house so it ended OK!!

I warned him that is two weekends in a row and he BETTER plan to do something with ME this coming weekend!!!! :( He seemed to celebrate his b-day two weekends in a row. He needs to find something for both of us, to do!!! I was going to go to the movies and just felt funny going alone. I would have gone with them if a few of the women would have gone but they all had other plans. Oh Well!!!

The hugs & kisses have been dispersed very very happily along with the tickles!!!:lovestruc

talk maybe later this afternoon; I still have dayne's clothes left and I want to do their lessons and take them out before lunch at 1:00.

Have a great day!!!!

I'm thinking I'm gonna have to write Danny a letter. That will put the fear in him for sure.

I know what you mean about going out alone. Poor soft-hearted Sheri when we go out to eat and someone is sitting alone she always wants to go ask them to join us. She usually eats in her car cause she hates eating alone. When she spends the night in Arkansas she will go to the movie. They have an 8 plex where she stays. She said a couple of times she was the only one in the entire theater not just her show. She quit doing it.

Enjoy sorting drawers. I so need to do that. One would think with just the two of us it wouldn't get so bad. It does.

Take care and have a great day. :wave2:

:wave2:I KNOW! I KNOW! I really need to pick at date and a place for our 2010 WDW magical adventure.

But, I have been thinking about so much I want to do when we do start the planning process!!:upsidedow

FIRST: I need to learn more about the DDP
are we or are we not going to do this?!?

I'm leaning towards the regular DDP for 5 days that would give us two or three character breakfast and two or three sit down dinners.
I want to do Crystal Palace for breakfast, and than either Playhouse disney at the vine & dine, Chef Mickey, Lilo & Stitch at the Ohana (I think), OR Donald's Tusker House!
for dinner I would like to try the Italian place in Epcot (don't know name at this moment), Fantasmic dinner I think they have two places to choose from, dinner at the AKL which resturant, and the WL lodge "Whispering Canyon"OR I can just go DDPDx and we can try and do it all. I think that it may be too stressful for me to try and plan three sit downs a day. If we did this plan we would have to do two sitdowns and a CS, I think. I'm really thinking the reg. DDP will be more than enough. remember we never do the food thing so this would be a first!!!

SECOND: I'm thinking of checking into the Petty driving experience for Danny. What a thrill that would be for him and Dayne if he comes.

OK, I think that is enough for now on the PTR decisions. as for the resort I have been checking into the contempary. If Gwendolyn & Joe don't join us I only need one room. But, I don't think that is going to happen. So, at the moment we are between POFQ for Danny and CBR for me. But, I can't wait for Dana to give me a report on the POP. And I'm leaning towards the week after thanksgiving at this time, so to miss POP Warner they are not listed on the CSR convention list that KATMARK (I think that is her name) has started so they are probably doing a different resort for 2010!

Car will be paid for NEXT WEEK!!:woohoo::woohoo: I can start on the medical bills and come October I can BOOK :yay:!!! I just wish I could figure out how to swing a trip in the first part of 2010 and not the later half. It seems like a life time away. But, at least we have the :beach: in June, right!!! If I do them both in the first part of the year by the end of the year we will be looking for something to do.

MY MY I"m in a rambling mood, so I'll leave the thoughts at that for now.!!!

Ohana for breakfast is a blast, but your little man would love Hollywood and Vine Playhouse. We did H&V for Fantasmic. It is buffet, but it is good and not as pricey as Mamma Melrose or Brown Derby. If you do DDP you could afford one of the more expensive places. I think Tusker House looked fun too. I think it is a matter of character choices more than food choices.

Daughter Sheri and family stayed at Contemporary and loved it. They had 2 queens and a day bed. So five can sleep easily in those rooms. And to be so close to MK is a plus.

Lucky you on car getting paid off. I still have a year on mine.

Have a great evening.

Oh Connie I could give you advice for ages! Especially because your DS3 will be the same age then, that my DS4 is now! You don't want to get me started, 'cause you know I'm already in planning mode (and I haven't done A THING on the boys' books today and I think it's too late now...tomorrow I guess). ANYWAY...

Contemporary is awesome, but stick with a moderate if you haven't done that before (have you?). Then you can save the extra money for other fun stuff.

The regular DDP gives you 1 TS, 1CS, and 1 snack every day. The DxDDP give you 3 meals, however you want them (you don't HAVE to do 3 sit downs a day). Play and Dine is fun but it's pretty much just Little Einsteins (I think JoJo & Goliath were there two years ago, but since the show isn't on anymore they probably aren't anymore). Have you done ANY character breakfasts? If not, we have always LOVES Restaurantosaurus. I know it's at Tusker House now and we haven't been there yet, but I'll let you know what I think in a couple of weeks. :thumbsup2 Everyone loves Chef Mickey's (I have actually always preferred AK) and if he's a fan at all you HAVE to do Crystal Palace. CP is just awesome. We do it almost every trip. We're not this time, but I think Matt and I figured out today that 5 of our 8 meals are at places we've never been. How cool is that? O'hana is also great. We had a lot of fun at that one and the food was really good. The other thing to think about is that there's a chance they'll offer Free Dining when you go. Then you can decided to do the regular or upgrade to the deluxe. Either way it will be cheaper than what you planned. ;)

Matt has always wanted to do Richard Petty, but it's SO expensive. Hmmm. THAT might make a nice 10th anniversary surprise for him. I'll have to think further about that one myself. Thanks!

See, I can ramble too. Please ask any questions you have. I'll answer what I can, and what I can't I'm sure other readers can help with.

Hope you had a good day and have a good night!

Hey, Connie!

I loved Crystal Palace breakfast, but if you go, plan to stay awhile. It took us over half the morning to eat and do the character meet and greets, plus we had to wait awhile on our table, even though we had made prior reservations. It was a lot of fun, though, and I enjoyed the food.

We did Chef Mickey on our last day in WDW back in 2006. We had breakfast there and it was the last thing that we did before going home. It was nice b/c it wasn't a park day and it was our last, but we still got to experience some Disney magic before we left. And as one last treat, we did the monorail ride around the resorts, too!

Richard Petty sounds like a blast. I know my DH would love it, and so would yours. So if you can swing it, DEFINITELY do it! :thumbsup2

What a day I had. I see I missed so much. I swear it was the longest day I ever had. It ended well. Thank goodness. No computer or internet all day. I came home so tired. Don fixed dinner and I took a nap.

that would be so much fun! Ginny

my probem is that of a typical start over again mom! All my friends are finishing up with their families and I'm starting over. Danny is able to maintain his friends cause he is hanging out with Dayne and his friends. Which I really am grateful for... I just feel left out and three weeks in a row is really a bit too much. Esp. when I'm pinching pennies and he is blowing $30 a night and not to mention his smokes; it just gets to me. And it does not help that its our b-day and it just does not seem exciting. Oh! well one more tight month and look out... I'll be out shopping and what not when he hears the track call. (And I NEVER EVER LET HIM TAKE OUR CAR! AND everyone always drills him why he does not have it!) that's what you get when you drive a performance car as a family car! mom just won't let it go

Everyone have a great day! tomorrow...I think DS3 and I are hitting the road; no extra little one's tomorrow. Danny is doing a crane job about 7 mi down the road (setting up concrete houses) might have to go take a look and hit a local playground!

that would be so much fun! Ginny

my probem is that of a typical start over again mom!

I do understand even though I don't have that issue. It's not that he is selfish they just don't stop and think. And I know you are outspoken enough that he should have learned by now. Naughty Danny.:(

Have a good day with my little guy and :drive: but be sure to be back for your BIG BIRTHDAY tomorrow. Wish I could throw you a surprise party. Give my main squeeze a hug and a kis.

MEN! They don't even realize that while they are out having fun, we wives are sitting at home, taking care of business. I'm positive they just don't see how "much" they go out and do their own thing w/out us. And if we complain about it, we're just making a big deal out of nothing!

I know exactly how you feel, Connie.

I don't think men have a clue. They get so involved in what they are doing they tend to forget us who stand by them and fume.

So, poor Danny has to work late; can't go to the track :( tonight!
but, because I'm being so whiny about it he may have to work late tomorrow night as well! :sad2:

I brought DS3 watch Danny operate the crane the concrete house is iteresting:idea: they hook these 10ft X 8ft slabs to the crane Danny swings them into place and two guys brace it up. The complete shell of the house will be complete by dark!

We than FOUND this awesome playground at the rec park (I thought it was all baseball fields--it has a walking track and awesome playground, sorry said that already). Well, DS3 loved it!! we will def. be using that one again!!!:yay:
close to home:yay: and one of the best we have been to! It also helped him to finally have a BM; potty training is so hard with that part--he was in soooo much pain last night that he cried himself to sleep. Danny said give him prune juice --eeewwww!!! So, I guess the climbing up and down helped!!!

TMI I know sorry.... I just can't wait till he realizes how easy it all is...

I took a few pics will have to share after I load them!

Am I sorry Danny has to work late?

Love the park. What fun for my little guy. Sandi had one real close to her home that Alex loved. Now that he is in middle school it is right next door and he's to old to care.

My poor guy. I remember those days so well and activity and lots of water is your best answer for sure. Or Starbucks.

Glad you had a good day. What are you going to do for your birthday?

Now, to thoughts of Disney!!!
this will make me crazy or I will have planned out the best trip I could possibly come up with:rotfl2:

So, I have been thinking (I opened another thread on Disney tips yesterday asking for the least busiest, prettiest weather time of year--not many replies but almost all agree'd the week after Thanksgiving or the first week of Dec.)

So, that being said I have been thinking
we drive Friday after Thanksgiving
Sat, Sun, & Mon - Seaworld, Universal, & Islands of Adventures
Tue - Sat WDW
that Sat plan for Danny & Dayne to do the Richard Petty experience; Ashton & I can chekc out the pool for the last time if the air is not to cold/do MK and if Gwendolyn & Joe come along they can make their own plans for the day. Check out of the resort at the last possible minute and than maybe drive that evening about 3/4 hrs worth
Sunday - drive home!!!

or do the driving experience that Saturday we get there to try and avoid the last of the holiday crowds!

Like I said I'm going to overthink this for a year and a few months!!!
also, thinking of checking into renting DVC points--on the thread it was suggested. If I go that route she said I would need to do it by the beginning of Jan. I still need to pass all this pass Danny. I'm just waiting until I pay off the car. he does not want to hear about anything until than!:confused3

and I promise AGAIN that we will go to FWB for a week in June!!!:beach:

My birthday tomorrow. I have to watch Chloe, maybe I will take the to the above park, pick up lunch before we go and picnic under the oaks. We are suppose to be going to the casino for the buffet; but, it will all depend on Danny now. He said to go without him; but, that WILL NOT HAPPEN!!! So, just a regular day!! maybe he'll be nice a take me to the show or something this weekend:confused3

MY BIRTHDAY!!! IS TOMORROW; BUT, I'M TAKING THE ENTIRE WEEKEND STARTING TOMORROW!!!!:yay:

In the past we would take the weekend between our b-days and go down to FWB or the MS gulf coast to celebrate our b-days. And on each our own bday we would have dinner at my mom's or something of that sort. this year and last year we just did not have the money to do it! we went to the casino for my bday last year and dinner at my mom's for his bday and a dinner out just the three of us on the weekend in between last year. Danny WILL probably have to work late, Dayne just said he wants to go to the jamboree...so maybe we might just push it to Friday! make it easier and less stressful for all!!!

Mel, thank you for the well wishes!!!!
I will just make a great weekend out of my b-day; starting in the morning!!!

Way to go. Make it last as long as you can. That really sounds like a good idea.

On our birthdays you get to pick your meal either cooked or out and dessert. On Andrews this year he picked fried chicken, mashed taters, biscuits and gravy. Mike happens to make this better than anyone I know and we don't get it often because of the calories. Sheri is picking some po dunk place in Parsons Kansas. We ate there on my birthday last year. Really good onion rings. Then of course she will pick something else in Kansas City. She is the picker all weekend. Of course we all like the same foods. Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, California Pizza Kitchen. I guess the diet will wait till Labor Day. I haven't done well this week. Don just made toffee popcorn. He sure knows how to do it. Have a super duper day tomorrow with the youngins.

Hi Connie!! So good to put a face (and a real name) with your screen-name! LOL! I was finally able to jump over here and read your PTR!

I voted September (although now I see you are leaning toward Nov!) because if I'm in Florida I want the weather to be warm. And I picked CBR...because I'd like to stay there someday! But...we've stayed at POR for our past two trips and walked over to POFQ and it is beautiful! Ash would love the pool! And the beignets are TO DIE FOR!

I'm so glad to be in on a 2010 PTR! Many of the ones we both have been reading are ending soon, so it will be fun to have yours to follow! Plus...I have no idea when we will get back so I need to live vicariously through someone!

Can't wait to hear more of your planning and to chit-chat with you!

We just came in! As I mentioned on Ginny's thread...

So, I woke up early to receive my special little princess: at 5 am;
stayed up until 6 to wake up Dayne--who informed me he was up at 3 am to get a hot shower(he does not feel well) and than had a nose bleed and did not intend to go to school. After a nice heated argument and him winning (sort of--he is unable to use his car all weekend!) I let him stay him from school.:headache:

Needless to say I did not return to bed for my early morning nap as I usually do until 7:30 am! :wizard:3 woke up around 6:45 so we woke up princess: watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, ate breakfast, did our lessons, watched Dora and than Diego while I went take a shower.

We left for 9:30 went to the bank, and than we picked up Wendy's and went to the cement pond (we got there around 10:10--I did not know Wendy's served lunch befre 10:30:yay: ). Well, princess: is sound asleep and :wizard: will not go to sleep:guilty:. I did not sleep well last night and was looking forward to a quick nap w/the tots before we went to Bay St. Louis tonight!

Danny was home before we got home; he was watching :happytv: when I walked in; I said I was going lay down w/princess: for him to sit w/:wizard:

He is now in bed SNORING; so even if I wanted to go to bed I would not be able to sleep!!!!:headache:

Glad Danny came home early and you get to go out tonite for your Birthday dinner. Hope it is something yummy.

So, I should be in bed but quick update...
we did not do much for my b-day on Thursday (Gwendolyn & Joe went pick up BBQ and a cake) dayne went to his jamboree. On Friday we were late leaving to go to Hollywood casino in Bay St. Louis (Gwendolyn had an interview to sit w/a 15 yr old boy after school--he has Aspergers). Well Danny, Dayne, Ashton & I left before my parents and Gwendolyn &Joe. We went ride to see the Waveland Beach area--they have beautiful homes going up in the area! We had a wonderful time at the Hollywood and as always the crabs were great!

Well, as everyone that follows along knows I have not been sleeping so I was lucky enough that after waking at 5;00 am to recieve Chloe this morning her dad decided to come pick her up at 10:45. I took a benedryl at 12:00 (having breathing problems after all the smoke last night) and went take a three hour nap (boy I needed it that). Dayne and danny played with Ashton and left me alone!!!! ;)

I cooked hamburger steaks /w mashed potatoes (after reading Lisa's report w/Lacey's mashed potatoes) and Gwendolyn & Joe brought home a galloon of New Orleans Dacquaris --190 Octane. I don't think Danny will bother me tonight!!!! ;)

So, it may not have been a extravgant b-day weekend but it was wonderful to SLEEP!!! and now we are ALL LAUGHING at the Wii game!!! We had a fun time together and enjoyed an evening of family time!!!!

Danny just decided to go wax the front of the car "love bugs" are HERE!!! but look at the time!!!! I may actually get to bed before him and might be able to SLEEP!!!!

Good morning Connie. Sounds like you had a wonderful birthday. I have been known to like those quiet ones. Wish I had those crabs. We drove over to Pittsburgh, KS to eat at a chicken joint. It was so good. So Sheri says since we ate there last night and her birthday isn't till Wednesday, that next Saturday we have to go to Olive Garden. Aust wants Red Lobster since it is ayce shrimp. Aust is by himself till late Tuesday (Don and Mike are going to Andrews soccer game) so I thought I'd give him money for him and a friend to go to RL after football practice.

Hope you have a nice relaxing day. Enjoy your Sunday.

It is a beautiful day here, too! we have been watching kid shows and playing with cars and trains so far today! thinking about letting him go run around after some bubbles in a few minutes. I was trying to price a land/sea package but just the price on a Disney cruise is too much for me--knowing how much cheaper Carnival is. Although, I did find a decent rate for a 4 day cruise for 1300 for the four of us.

She was a lucky girl. Staples had an add for $379 with $100 off for a trade and another $30rebate. She traded in Andrea's old laptop that is 5 years old. Andrea took nothing we ever gave her when she moved out. (except her nano). Mike is ready to redo her bedroom to a guest room. She called a few weeks ago and said her mom was kicking her out and she was going to go live with a friend. He said she could come to his house, or our house but she would have to follow the rules. Then he told stupid (that would be the mother) to be an adult and work it out. No one has heard from her since. Andrew has a class with her and he says she has already missed 3 days.

My day is better now. I did bills and wrote paychecks. They really aren't due till Friday and I write them on Wednesdays but since I'll be gone and I was doing end of month stuff I figured what the heck.

Hi Connie! Glad to see you had such a good weekend. We've looked at land and sea, too, but the cruises are so expensive. And I can't think of a good reason to tell my parents we're spending that much money and not giving it to them (thank goodness I have a good "excuse" for going to Disney next June). I want to do land and sea, but I think it will have to wait until I get a teaching job and we finally have our own house.

I hope you and Ashton have a good day!

Hello! Heather,
I think the land/sea package will be in our next return trip around 2015/2016! It will only be the three of us and the older two will be out of school by then. So, if they want to join along they will have to contribute to the mix. I think around 9/10 Ashton would enjoy a cruise more than now anyhow. that way he will be old enough to enjoy their camps and such w/o me being a nervous nellie about it and enjoy myself!

We just came in from blowing bubbles! it is absoultely gorgeous outside!!! but after a few minutes in the sun Ashton said he was hot and wanted to come back inside!!!

Hi!
Followed you from my TR. I know how you feel about the rain. Yesterday you didn't even wona be in the state of florida. I don't know why everyone always wants to come on vacation here:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:
For the poll I voted for december because empty crowds, holiday, decorations, and NO RAIN!!!!:woohoo::cool1: Also for resort POFQ:dance3: The bus system is good and you have the boat to DTD. But for value I say pop. We weren't in love with it but it has a good price and it's fun to walk around and take pictures:thumbsup2. BUT if you're doing park closings you may want to take a taxi back. What happened to the swan? I thought you were considering it? You may get a better deal than moderate. And night of your bday you get free!!!!:cool1::wizard::woohoo::dance3::yay::cheer 2:

I think the last week of Nov first wk of Dec is going to end up being the winner; exactly why you stated!!:thumbsup2
As for the Swan; I think that will all depend on if we decide to do the DDP or not.:confused3 and that will depend upon who we are paying for when we go!! But :thanks: for reminding me! We have a ways to go and I still have about two months before I am ready to book.

I really secretly hope that if Dayne is going for his Sr trip in May that Danny will say hey let's go the end of Jan and we can go sooner!:rotfl2: But, I really do not see that happening at this time. BECAUSE the stipulation for us even going back was that he got his week at the FWB FISRT :beach:

Again, thank you for joining in! we are a bunch of friends from around the counrty hanging out and having fun while I take the next year to plan this wonderful trip to the "World"

Good morning Connie. Yes as I was out partying I was thinking of Mel and hoping her week goes as well as she wanted. Sometimes you get your hopes up and then something (life) gets in the way. I felt so blessed that our 2 days went so well.

Be sure to give my little sweet man a hug and kiss this morning. I'm headed back to take a nap before I have to get ready for bed. This old body is not meant to stay up so late anymore.

Good morning Heather. I really am at work. I didn't come in till 10:30 as it is my late night. That worked well. I got to bed at 11 and slept till 7 this morning. Could have gone another hour but the Princess was calling me. She had to have her breakfast. She is on that 6 and 530 schedule. The nut won't even go outside till she has eaten. She can be such a moron. But I still love her.

I hope Mel is having a wonderful time. She really needed the break. As we all do. It is so good to get away from the stress of the real world once in a while.

Have a great day Connie and Heather.

Well, that worked out well for you Ginny. (going in to work late I mean)
So, we were up early as you can tell by my first post; had breakfast, did our lessons, and hit the road! Went put the final car note in the mail:woohoo::cheer2: went pick up Dayne's acne meds, gassed up the car, picked up sonic for lunch and went let the tots play at that great playground we found!

Tomorrow I need to pay the deposit for the Global Wildlife reunion of friends we are having in a few weeks; so the kids will have had a busy two days together.

Ginny, now you know Danny's friends like to report how often I'm on FB--I still say the only way they know that is if they are on FB themselves ALL THE TIME!
It really doesn't bother me; just I don't want to make comments on too much my mom's friends are on there and people Danny work with if you know what I mean.:confused3

I so understand on the FB and I would never want to say anything to get you 'told on'. Just let me know where to lay the line and I'm on it. I do know how to live with boundries. My girls are all the time saying "where did you find friends". Meanies. Sounded like you had a great day with little ones. It is cloudy here today. I think rain is moving in for tonite and tomorrow. Of course the first home game is tomorrow night. I am on the way to get a haircut. Have to work till 7:30 tonight.

Have a great afternoon. Congrats on the car. Totally wonderful feeling.

Both of the girls in the office have FB pages so they are on it while they are at work all day! I checked them out:lmao: not that there is anything wrong with that just don't make comments about other people!

It's like they are always asking him when am I going back to work... he finally told them she's not!!!! she has her hands full with the kids!!! jeez....:rotfl:
what is it with some people?!?

I don't understand why people have to judge other people why can't they just be happy:confused3
we choose not to have a new car every two/three years and we choose to live a very modest life (they all have these huge campers!)...and just about all of them have their houses paid for and their kids are in their late 20-30's...we choose to live the way we do and they choose to live the way they do I don't go around saying gosh you have a lot of bills to go with all your new toys:rotfl2:

My dear daddy always said: Spend your time with your family because it is short lived and you will miss them when they are gone. Put your money in your home. That is where you spend most of your time. Get a car that is dependable because you need it to get around to earn the money for your house. (of course, my dad was a salesman so we had a new car every year). We buy cars a year old, drive them till they are dead and start over. Don got his paid for last year and I have one year on mine. I will be whooping it up when that is done too don't think I won't. :lmao:

So I have a great family/slash extended family that mean the world to me, Don and I chose a nice home that didn't cost a fortune, and we drive cars that are 5 or so years old. They still look good and drive good.

So, I was thinking since I need to plan a FWB :beach: trip before I can actually go to Disney next year.
We will be going to FWB the first week of June! this will also cover our 24th anniversary!

But, the other night when Ashton spent the night at my parents and I could not sleep:confused3
I realized Danny will be 45 next year!:scared1: and he loves the :beach: sooooo much! I think I might invite a few of his friends and surprise him with a weekend for his bday in FWB!

Do you think that is toooooo much to ask people to rent a condo to come out and surprise him and celebrate ?!?(we did not celebrate w/a party for his 40th--we went to the :beach: just us, Gwendolyn & Dayne.

The rates always drop the week before his bday. I was thinking I would send out an invitation maybe in May or April with the info?!?

anyway that is my brain fart for the day!!!:rotfl2:

How quick to the condos fill. I always do it as so if there are early booking discounts so they can get them. Some families may want to do hotels instead too. But it would be more fun if you could all stay at the same complex so there won't be a lot of driving back and forth. You might call the condo and see if you can get a discount if you get 3 or 4 units confirmed. So I would say 3 months. Also gives them time to pay. You generally just have to deposit then can pay balance 30-45 days before you go. I say the more time they have to plan the better. I know Don's work bids next years vacay in Nov each year. So if any of the people would have something along that line they would need to know early to get vacay at the right time. I think you may have to feel some friends out and see what kind of response you get. But even 2 or 3 families would be great fun. Good luck on planning. Let me know.

Check this out! this is where we always stay...sometimes they do a 10% discount.

We like them because they are ON the beach, its always families and quiet! and it is CHEAPER than the local hotels!!!! they also have an older sister condo you can find on their links that we stay at when we have to! If you want to see an AWWESOME complex check out "waterscape" and the mother of all "Bella Riva"! I can't afford the later of the two, although if we went in with another family "that we really really liked" we could manage it!

That place does look nice. I like that they offer both views so you can save some money when needed. We have stayed at some pretty nice places and some just regular. Just so we have enough bathrooms is the main criteria. If you don't need super smancy you have more money to do other things. I think this is where my girlfriend always stayed. They went the first 2 weeks of July for over 20 years. Probably still do. Just don't talk to her much.

I caught your drift. Love it. I have to do the cruise tho. But there are other years to come and I'm gonna retire. Then I can vacay anytime I want.

So, as I mentioned we went to Global Wildlife today! It was an awesome tour:thumbsup2!!! I will have to remember to always try and go on the first tour of the day! **I forgot my camera and the kids and the animals were priceless:sad2:

one point princess:was feeding a reindeer and she had the giggles as if someone was tickling her nonstop:rotfl2:

The giraffes came to us, instead of the driver having to go to them...:wizard: was estactic when "big John" came eat from his cup...the six giraffes were actually following our tour wagon at one point ( a lady was feeding one of them as they were following and when she stopped & turned around the giraffe nudged her shoulder as if to say ...Hey why did you stop?!?:lmao: )

the llamas there eat from your hand **and they are so gentle and dainty, when they eat**both:wizard:andprincess: thought it tickled and they giggled and giggled!

I will have to make it a point to go do this at least every other week! with them, I just wonder if I can handle them both w/o Danny:confused3. You cannot feed the Zebras for fear of them biting so you have to watch the little ones to be sure they do not put their hands over the side when the zebras come by!

On our way home mom called and wanted us to go eat dinner over (she had bought two really huge pork loins a while back and has to cook them) translation ... a night off of kitchen duty:thumbsup2
Little man was so happy to go for a visit; she bought him 5 pair of pants, three disney shirts (he did not need these--I have sooooo many that I bought), a pair of boots, and a pair of slippers! yesterday at the outlets in Gulf port. :woohoo:

Hope everyone had a great day!

So, today (I was bored again, go figure). Danny told me around 2:00 he was going take a nap. Well, I lost it...if anyone was going to take a nap today it was me! :rotfl2:Ashton went to sleep when we run to town for a few things.

Well, during my bored time I started looking and comparing resorts and dates.
We are probably going to return the last week of Nov/Dec 2010. I started pricing the last week of Jan/Feb. I think I am going to try and talk him into going back just the three of us. Dayne will be going on a Sr Trip in May; Gwendolyn claims she is going to a San Dominque in the summer w/Avon:confused3. And, we are all going to FWB in June and again hopefully for a weekend in Aug (if I can pull that one off).

Anyway, I think I'm in love with the WL; Danny said it is a waste of money and to research the mods alittle more closely indvidually! at least I'm getting feed back, finally!!!:lmao::rotfl2:

I want to add Seaworld and Universal/IOA to the trip whenever we return; I was thinking one dayat SW; and, this is going to be hard but I think I am going to insist we do it this way 1 day for Universal/IOA not two! and hit all the rides we want to ride and no shows. Except for Barney (missed it in May and I really want Ashton to see it!)

Hoping by the end of next month to decide when and where so I can book!
I just wish the specials would come out. I think if they had the 4/3 special in jan -- Danny would be willing to go back than!

toput pix in your siggie is easy you have to edit them down to tiny on your photobucket than just copy them the same way you do it to post it...
now to fix your link; you copy your link paste in usung the box with the picture of the globe and I think that is a chain link paste your link there ; after that look at your siggie you will notice that it is listed twice...on the first url listed delete and replace withthe title you want to use...

I never noticed you don't post your siggie on your thread. :confused3 So you might as well post is since no one realized you weren't. :rotfl:

The FWB trip sounds like a lot of fun. We might have been there then, if we weren't going to Disney that week (or the week after, I'm not sure exactly what your dates are). I think we're going to have to try to get to FWB sometime next summer since we didn't go this summer. Although I'm sure we'll be there right after Christmas like we always are.

I'm anxiously waiting for next years' "deals" too from both Disney and SW or IOA. I don't really need to start planning that trip yet, but I'm going to want to when we get back. It's hard to wait, isn't it?

Glad you guys had such a great tour. That sounds like it's a lot of fun!

Thank you Connie . I have been trying to figure out how to post the link without it being the URL.

Ok on to the report. I wish you would have gotten video of Ashton dancing. I saw a video on FB the other day and it was hilarious. It was a little boy dancing to Apple Bottom Jeans. I laughed till I though I was gonna pee in my pants.

Both my boys love that song. Especially DS4. He totally sings along. Thank goodness he hasn't figured out all of the words. :rolleyes1

Good morning Connie. It is still morning. I didn't get up till 8:45. It was great. Don is out painting. I've had a bowl of cheerios and watching super nanny. I'm bored. I should go to the store since I'm cooking tonite.

Have a great day and give my darling a kiss.

I can see me driving down there and giving him a scolding. I had a great nap this afternoon. Sheri and I went to Kohls, Walmart and Sams. Then to the other Sams cause the new one didn't have what we wanted. Drove across town to the old one and they didn't have it either. Sheri had to settle on a different birthday dessert. She had some kind of apple dumpling with caramel. Quite tasty with ice cream. I bought Austin some smores brownies. Very tasty.

Don cooked chicken on the grill and I fixed fried potatoes and onions. I don't do that often but it was yummy.

Work tomorrow. Ych. I don't want to go. But I will. I'm taking Austin to Red Lobster tomorrow night. Sheri, Mike and Don are going to Andrews soccer game.

Have a great day tomorrow.

We are leaning towards the first week of Dec as you suggested (last wk of Nov/Dec overlap) thinking is should be super slow!:rotfl2::upsidedow
I also want to see it for Christmas; still not sure about which resort. I agree with your idea of saving the money for other things; and if we take the older kids again we will definately looking to save:rotfl:

sounds like Sheri gets a cake again tomorrow:rotfl2:
lemon is my favorite, too!!! I love a really good lemon doboche or a strawberry dobache! or just a plain lemon cake straight from the oven :cake:

the grilled porkchops came out really good! Gwendolyn and Dayne even liked them!:woohoo:

It should go fast tomorrow. The phones will ring off the hook. Those chops sounded really good. Don has this rub we put on pork that is delish. I wanted pork but Sheri chose chicken. Yes she will have another cake tomorrow and another Wednesday. I guess till I get it right. We all love lemon. I told her I would call Olive Garden and go buy her one. She said at $5.99 a slice it might be a little pricey. I used to get Austin's at Steak and Ale. It was only $15.00. It was some chocolate delish thing. We have a really good friend that has a bakery and does things for restaraunts. I could call her too.

It's more fun to bake a new one every night. I can't decorate but I can open a can of frosting with the best of them.

Good morning Connie. How is your day? Do you have the princess today? Please give my Prince a hug and kiss for me. Super busy as I knew it would be. It will get better this afternoon. I'm calling Olive Garden to see how much a whole cake is for Sheri. I figure it is still cheaper than making something new every night and a lot less time consuming.

Sounds like you had a good day afterall. I am really tired tonite for some reason. Waiting for Aust to call me so we can go out to eat. When he was little he really liked Steak N Shake or as he called it Snake and Snake. He was the perfect gentleman. Opened my car door, the front door. Pulled my chair out. The whole 9 yards. It was so cute. It never hurts them to learn those manners. Of course his dad being from Texas is great at that and has really worked with the boys.

We had a great evening. I think I won't need shrimp for some time. Austin had a serving of every kind they had. I think it was over 50 shrimps. It was delish. We talked a bit and very enjoyable. Get ready for this schedule at school. No 1st hour, 2nd is Meal management, second semester is cake decorating, 3 is some history class, 4th is astronomy, 5th desktop publishing, 6th weights and 7th mythology. No homework. He said he was really enjoying himself. He talked about going away to college. He knows his friends are all going to different ones and it's not his friends he will miss. He said he would miss being with family and just the spur of the moment things we do. In other words, he thinks we'll do something fun without him.

Good afternoon Connie. Just wanted you to know I post on your thread everyday. Cause that is the kinda gal I am. So not loving the rain today. I'm sure Austin will. That means they will just do weights and run in the gym for football. Andrew won his soccer match last night. We he personally didn't win it but they won. 4-0. He had an assist, no goal. Still very proud of him. So glad he has found something that he likes to do.

Be sure my Prince gets a kiss from Miss Ginny. Would appreciate that a lot.

Connie, I don't think it would be too much to ask friends to book a condo for a birthday celebration surprise. Either they will want to or they won't. It's up to them. But a lot of people won't turn down an opportunity to go the beach, and a birthday surprise sounds wonderful!

With the two beach trips before the Disney trip, time should fly by. I'm glad Little Einsteins are back on (for little prince's sake). Mitchell used to watch them every morning at seven o'clock while I was rushing around getting ready for work. Now OSO comes on in the mornings. I think Mitchell's outgrowing playhouse Disney. :guilty: He LOVES Phineas and Ferb and Spongebob (I hate him) and he's getting into the older kids cartoons. Little Einsteins was NEVER my favorite. Those kids got on my nerves. I was so glad when they went off. :rotfl:

Yeah! I think two :beach: trips over the summer will help the time for disney pass alot faster!! I just hope we can get some GREAT DEALs like they have going this year!

Spongebob was banned for awhile when Mitchell began repeating things they said. I can't stand the underlying meaning of the cartoon, but as long as Mitchell doesn't repeat things I consider inappropriate, then I'm good. DH thinks I'm being unreasonable about it, but he likes the cartoon, too, so what does that say?

I can't stand Annie on the Einsteins. I know, what did these characters ever do to me? They just get on my nerves. I think it's her high pitched baby voice that never changes.

I know Oso is geared for kids, but he gets on my nerves, too. He asks really dumb questions! And how many times can you say, "It's all part of the plan - more or less" Arrggh! Seriously, I just need to get over it. :sad2:

Ok, I am from the stone ages. I remember when Alex was 3 we would lay in bed in the mornings and watch Wiggles. I was not working from Feb to Oct that year so I spent a lot of time on the road between home and Tennessee. I loved it. I could spend a week there and he wouldn't have to go to daycare. Then come home and get my kid fix and back and forth I went. Unemployment was grand.

Thanks for the aforementioned hugs and kisses.

Yeah, I always thought it was strange that a group of men performed children's songs, too. I can tolerate the Imagination Movers far better than the Wiggles. I can't stand Nina, though. There I go again, Disney Character hatin'! :rolleyes1

:welcome:WELCOME LISA! :welcome:

We are having fun chit chatting and trying to plan all my 2010 vacations!! Yes, I said vacations. As you will read on the first post; Danny has agreed to take us back to WDW if we agree to go to the beach first!:rolleyes1 His missed his annual :beach: trip due to Ashton's surgery and later money was just not there (really cause of the car he bought Dayne) to even fit in a long weekend!:confused3

So, join us when you can for chit chat and I will do my best to let followers know when I post vacation info!

I think I need a table of contents for that:idea: might have to do that next bored day!

So, happy you were able to finally stop over! Wasn't the same with out you!:grouphug:

I don't know how I managed to get 4 pages behind.

To join the children's show discussion: I loved the Wiggles. I know. I'm weird. But I miss them. I stopped watching when Greg left. It just wasn't the same. Will loved them and so did Christian. They still watch the videos every now and then. Both of them. We went to see them live twice. I guess they just make me think of when the kids were little ('cause they are SO big now at 4 and 7, right?).

Christian will still watch "kids" shows, but he's more into Nick Jr. than Disney. He loves Backyardigans (which Will calls a "baby" show, but then sits down to watch) and Max and Ruby. Both the kids love Max and Ruby. Now there's a show I can't stand. Ruby drives me CRAZY (she's SO bossy) and Max is supposed to be 3. He MUST be able to speak in sentences longer than one word. And where are their parents? I like Backyardigans though. Christian occassionally watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and he'll watch the rest if Disney is on, but doesn't really care. I never cared much about Handy Manny and he'll watch Imagination Movers, but I think it's just okay. Prefer the Wiggles. Don't really like OSO at all. I think they are copying Dora with the 1,2,3 thing. Christian still likes Dora and Diego too. But he's starting to copy his big brother. They both like Star Wars the Clone Wars and Pokemon. Will will watch anything on Cartoon Network (that I'll let him watch), but Christian gets bored quickly with stuff like Ben10. Will used to love Little Einsteins. Christian liked it, but it was never his favorite. Will has always loved music, so that's why he loved Little Einsteins. They both loved all of the Baby Einstein movies too. They STILL watch some of them. I never minded Little Einsteins.

There are some I miss, though. I miss JoJo's Circus. Sometimes it drove me crazy, but I miss it now. And (let's see if any of you remember this one), I REALLY miss PB&J Otter. I loved that show! I'm mad they took it off. Here, I just found this on You Tube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaFzEau2cgY&feature=related

I miss Rolie Poly Olie too, but we have a couple of Olie videos so that's okay. PB&J never came out with videos.

Anyway, at least now the "big kid" shows they watch are Disney shows (other than Cartoon Network). They both like Hannah Montana and Jonas (okay, I like Jonas too) and Zack and Cody. I don't really let them watch the big kid shows on Nick. Don't like 'em.

And I don't do Sponge Bob either. I wouldn't let them watch him for a while. Then I gave in a little...I mean, Will IS 7. Then they stopped watching him. Thank goodness. And I won't put him back on. Just don't think it's something my kids need to watch.

Christian still likes Blue's Clues some too. I know everyone in the world liked Steve better, but I prefer Joe. Maybe it has to do with when you started watching it.

Oh, and Christian LOVES Little Bill. But that's a pretty cool show. Lazy Town, not so much, but he really likes that too. THANK GOODNESS Nickelodeon was smart enough to put out "Nick Favorites" DVDs. One of each show on each DVD. We have like 5 of them. Perfect for Christian.

OH, and I almost forgot one of MY favorites...Charlie and Lola. I love Charlie and Lola. Will used to like it okay. Christian never cared much about it, but he was really little when it went off. He might like it now. He's a lot like Lola. We have a couple of those DVDs. And we have one or two Stanley DVDs too. I'll bet he'd like Stanley. He loves animals. I need to get those out. He might like Olie too come to think of it. He does love Bear in the Big Blue House. We only have one of those, but I need to get more. Bear was a good show. Why can't Disney leave well enough alone? I sure wish they had PB&J Otter DVDs. Sigh.

Oh, and Kipper. Do you guys know Kipper? Both boys love Kipper, although Christian more than Will. He used to drive me crazy, but now I kind of like him. He's funny. I really do probably like kids' shows more than I should. :rotfl:

I think my kids actually have more DVDs than Matt and I do. Oh well. I like kid shows, what can I say.

Hope you all had a good day!

Hey! Heather!!!
Ashton's list of likes are quite long also! He use to love JoJo when he seen JoJo at the Disney Playhouse Dance Party he was soooo excited! he enjoyed Kipper the few times we caught it, Stanley OK, Rolie Polie Ollie was before his time one time a movie came on he really did not sit still to watch it???, he loves Dora, Diego, Backyardigans, Blue (I rather Joe too), Franklin, the pbs shows I listed above, did not like Bunny Town, he does like Handy Manny, he will watch Winnie the Pooh & Tigger but prefers the Nick Jr shows that play at the same time, he likes OSO but I am not crazy! He likes charlie & lola and ruby & max, but I don't! so I usually will change it. We have Bear's potty DVD, Blue's ABC's and the rest of his DVD's are either Brainy Baby or Disney movies! think I covered them all!

His new love is pbs' Dinosaur Train!!! it is a good show I'm sure both of your boys would like it!

We are currently watching 'Lilo & Stitch", just finished cooking pork chops in gravy over rice. Ashton did not eat well yesterday or again today! and Keeps telling me his tummy hurts (I think it is the potty training his BM's are off schedule--apple juice mixed in his koolaid) he is on a kick this week does not want milk, juice, or tea! So, his koolaid is spiked and diluted!

I'm even switching his gold fish for the whole wheat ones w/whole wheat crackers!

I have not gotten an answer out of Danny yet! but hey it was not a "NO"! I really think if they have a great deal; I will win this one. If not I will just start planning for the week after thanksgiving. I even have an idea of an iternary. :lmao:

I'm following along on other PTR's for 2010! and recent TR's! it is making the Disney itch sooooo intense!!!:rotfl2: What's a girl to do?!?:confused3

I keep trying to remember when do they come out with the deals for the beginning months of the year?!? is it Oct or Nov?!?

I can not wait for Dana to come back and report on the POP! and Jen to tell me all about the beginning of Dec! and Heather & Dana to fill me in on the crowds and weather in Sept!

I also think I want to give it a try making personal appliques!! I would have to do it all by hand as I do not have a machine...it may really help to pass the time...and may make really nice gifts for the three little girls I buy for!

We may have to organize a mini trip to somewhere close to help soothe this itch:confused3

ya'll have a great weekend; it is a really really wet one here!!!!

The rumour that Fantasyland is getting a massive makeover, complete with Twin Dumbo's, Little Mermaid Ride, and a host of other things is TRUE.

It has just been announced at the D23 Expo by head of Imagineering Jay Rasulo

WOW! I'm glad the Fantasyland rumors were true BUT I have to say that although it all sounds really cool, it all sounds REALLY GIRLY too. And I'm kind of disappointed that they're going to put that much work and money into something that my boys probably won't care anything about. Especially by 2012 when they will be 10 and 7. With that much "princess" around, we might just have to avoid Fantasyland all together. I do see some boys in the pictures and I heard the word "knight" a couple of times, but it just seems REALLY REALLY girly. Just like that contest they are having right now. Nothing we can do, though, right? And it does look pretty cool.

:cool1: on Dayne getting a job. Especially such a good one!:woohoo:

I hope you get to go in late January if that's when you really want to go. I know it's going to be hard to wait until November.

I know there was something else I was going to respond to, but I'm really tired tonight for some reason. Hope the rest of your weekend is good!

Yes, I think it is geared toward the girls also! just like the contest. What I don't understand if why they only gear the Pirates toward the boys...they have Tarzan, Bolt, Pinocchio (sp),and many others that they could gear toward boys...maybe they will with AK one day!!! I could think of a lot of things that they could do and I know you could probably do the same.

Hey! Ginny,
I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed yourself this year at the reunion! :yay:I am sure that helped Don enjoy himself, too!

We did not do a thing! this weekend:sad:...the rain has been relentless, it is suppose to be ending soon. We went run get Danny some chest congestion meds (if he would stop smoking/he is blaming it on the Humeria injections :confused3 ). Poor DS3 did not want to come home; he wanted to go to the park or the water park; anywhere but momma's house (it is soooo funny--he tells Danny it is momma's house and momma's car!)

Trying to find Halloween :hmghost: things to do! we do not trick or treat where we live (the houses are to far and few in between). We use to go where we lived before here; but have decided not this year. We started taking DS3 to Boo at the Zoo over in Baton Rouge two years ago; but, we think he may be old enough to enjoy the one in NO this year. Thinking maybe the camp grounds out here (it is so country that they have about four campgrounds out this way) might be the ticket! I wish the state parks would do something :confused3

I watched the Saints game and played on the computer again today! I need to find something to do with myself....this is getting bad even for me! I think tomorrow if the weather clears up I'm going to take DS3 to the mall in BR; they have an indoor palyground and horse carousel! that may be different.

Well, later:wave2:

WOW a new expansion. Boy, Fantasyland is going to be a big mess while they get all that work done. I have to agree with Lisa too, why all Princess stuff? They need to do something for the boys. Dallas will totally be out of all that by then because he will be 14 in 2012 so I guess it wouldn't really matter if they did boy stuff or not :confused3. But, hey one day I do hope to have grandkids :rolleyes1:scared1:.

Congrats to Dayne again on the job :thumbsup2. In today's job market he is really blessed that he found something.

I mentioned Desiree in one of my posts, she is deslynnpatterson here on the Dis. She is on my FB page too. She has been posting pictures and updates about her trip. She says the crowds are low......I sure hope it is that way in 2 weeks.

There is soooo much they could incorporate into it for boys if they just give it a shot!

Well I like that they are finally going to update Star Tours. Too bad THAT'S not going to happen in the next, uh, 4 days.

I think it's lame to say that the "villians" will attract the boys, though I do have to admit, my boys tend to like the villians. Still seems like a cop-out though.

I'm sad to see Toontown closing. I mean it's not the worst thing in the "World" they could do, but still sad.

Hopefully it will turn out better for our boys than it sounds. Even if mine will be 7 and 10 by then. :)

The expansion plans sound like they will be absolutely amazing, too bad my girls will no longer have much interest in that when it's built :guilty: My youngest will be 9!

I just wonder what that means for us visitors during the process. Will Fantasyland be a mess, will there be a few rides still going over there?

I agree that they should do something for the boys. I thought that maybe Disney had finally picked up on the need when they opened the Pirate's League makeovers. If they ever do finally decide to add more for the boys, Hunter will be too old to really enjoy it.

I read that there would be minimal guest interruption (or a huge construction mess) in Fantasyland. Disney has always been pretty good at that kind of stuff.

Hello! everyone!! Ginny hug and kiss taken care of with a smile and giggle!!

Isn't it a great update! I would not think that it should affect FL too much! If you look at the map drawing it will emcompass a great part behind pooh's play corner. I would think they are going to start back there; than close toon town as they start in that area! Than finally go into the FL area blocking off the center and you should probably be able to walk around the constuction! I did hear about the knight thing; I just still feel there is alot more they can do. An easy step up would be to decorate the Indy cars to become "The Cars" themed ride! I could think of a lot of ways to help the booy thing!
Maybe I'll have a granddgt someday. Even with a boy I can't wait to see what they do!

Thanks Missy! I had seen the clip on Sat.! (I have it posted, too on the previous page pg 14 :lmao: and also three links for three precious princesses!) if you get a chance give them you're vote! Thanks!

Have a great day! everyone!! :wave2:

Okay, I began to like the Wiggles okay until Greg left. Like you, when he was gone, it wasn't the same.

Can't stand Ruby and Max. Why Mitchell likes that show, I'll never understand. We both love Little Bill! He's such a charming little fellow. I miss Jo Jo's Circus too and Bear in the Big Blue House. Charlie and Lola are just okay in my book. Lola is too whiny,.

We have many, many children's movies in our home, too. Most of them are Disney, whether Mitchell wanted them or not! We are now "collectors". ;)

So, I was sitting next to Danny on the sofa earlier and said..."can we please go to Disney the end of Jan beginning of Feb!"

I did not get an answer; just a look! than I said
"what if they extend the "free dining" or do the 4/3-7 deal again?"

We'll see!

Hey that's better than what I've been getting:confused3

I gotta keep trying...what do you think my chances are of asking can we gl in Jan and than again the first week of DEC:rotfl2:! can I say AP!:lmao:

NOT! THIS YEAR!!! maybe in about five I can talk him into that one!:rotfl:

Good Luck! Hey, a "we'll see" is better than no, for sure! Good luck. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you. AP's would be wonderful, too!

Ginny,
I know what I said in all the PM's but I just like my siggie this way!! :lmao:
but, I will be more careful about the other things ;)

What's wrong with your siggie? Nosy me.

I know what you mean. I get the fever so bad. I am starting to get butterflies because we are getting so close.

I wish I could do appliques. One of my co-workers has a sewing machine that will do any of it. I can't even put an iron on and get it straight :lmao:.

I think I am at my happiest when I am planning a Disney trip :goodvibes.

Wow! Your trip is so close! Congratulations - :woohoo: :yay: :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2:

OFFICIAL - New Fantasyland Rumour is TRUE!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rumour that Fantasyland is getting a massive makeover, complete with Twin Dumbo's, Little Mermaid Ride, and a host of other things is TRUE.

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/trave...21880.htmlpage

It has just been announced at the D23 Expo by head of Imagineering Jay Rasulo

Full Video Announcement with wonderful illustrations HERE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08W5Os-Wnj0

***I COPIED THIS FROM ANOTHER THREAD!!***

Awesome! I can't wait to see the Little Mermaid ride. You know, though, the boys won't be interested in seeing all that princess stuff, even if they do put the villians in there.

I can't imagine DUMBO inside a tent, either. Isn't the whole point of the ride to be flying high so you can see everything below and get a good view of the castle?

Will someone please give me some grandchildren so I can go? Mine won't even let me near toontown or the fairies.
I'm trying for you a granddaughter, but it's not working out so well right now! :rotfl:

Hello!

Thanks!

Have a great day! everyone!! :wave2:

Thank you for taking care of my little one. I thought of him several times this weekend. There were several young children there playing and having a good time. He would have liked the cute little girls. My fav family of Don's lives in Vegas and has 2 girls and a boy. They didn't come this year. But the boy was born in Nov so she probably didn't want to make a trip by herself. Her DH perfoms in Vegas doing something.

I've been putting my votes in every morning. I managed to save the links from your fb. Thanks. Have a great afternoon. BTW. Did Dayne work this weekend?

Dayne worked Saturday (his first day-three hrs) and yesterday 7 hrs!
Vegas sounds like fun need to find where to add that one! I know when I do yellowstone!

Mel, I'm trying for you a granddaughter, but it's not working out so well right now!

I am a patient grandma.

Connie,

One year we took 2 weeks drove I80 to Salt Lake City, toured everything there. My goofy Don had to drive on the Bonneville salt flats. (they were very popular in our age group). So here I am filming him going maybe 55 on the flats with my sis-in-law in the back seat. What fun. Then dropped down thru Nevada and hit every little town on the way to Reno that had a casino. Sharon (SIL) hit a quarter jackpot and they had to raid the cash register to give her $42.00. We laughed so hard. They have a lot of little roadside stops (here we call them rest areas, but since there are no trees or shades, it is just a bathroom). Well, I called those bathrooms 'wooshers' cause you felt like you were going to get sucked down there. Don't ever put a child on them. You'd lose them for sure. Then we got to Reno and spent the night and headed to San Francisco to where my SIL lived. After a couple of days we all drove back to Reno in bro Gary's 55 Lincoln convertable. We spent the night then drove down Hwy 1 in California for a ways. We had more fun. Way more to this trip but I'll tell later. I really am supposed to be working before he gets back.

I think they are going to have games and stuff like that in the tent but the rides appear to still be outside like now. In fact if you look at the rendition; one ride is kept the same and the other has double the Dumbo seats!

Hello! Ginny
what a beautiful day!!! but suppose to have break through rain throughout the day!!
Little man is at my parents for the day; and it is a good day for me to have alone time.

Funny story:
Yesterday afternoon Danny & I decided to run to the store for some much needed food for the house! Well, little man was soooo excited to go by by! He was so tired on being cooped up! well, he feel asleep about 5 min from the store, slept through the entire store, (I put him in one of the buggies w/the carrier attached! (his poor legs just hung off of it--everyone smiled when they passed!), put him back in his car seat --ALL THE WHILE NEVER WOKE UP!!!
well just as we turned onto our street he woke up and we hear this shrill
'

"I DON'T WANT TO GO TO MOMMA'S HOUSE; I WANT TO GO BY BY!! NO PLEEEEASE"
poor baby did not get to go by by! I had called mom to see what the doctor told her and so she asked if she could pick up the litttle man. When I placed him in his car seat in her van he was sooooo excited; he was going BY BY! :lmao:

Have a great day!! I have to go run to the back to put money back in my account two checks people gave me took the rubber way out!!!

That poor little man. Geesh mom, he just wanted to go by by. He must have been tired from the night before. I am glad you and Danny did something besides sit around all day since he had the day off. Even going to the store is better than nothing. Spending the money, not so much.

BTW I love the way you have the pix arranged on your siggie.

Have a great day.

I'm finally back! got a late start...but it was sooooo nice:cloud9:
I do not remember that last time I did that! I went to the bank, than went to the local hobby store (I want to try my hand at making handmade mickey head appliques for t-shirts:eek: --for our next trip!) they did not have any t-shirts I liked so I need to find a few cheap ones first (in case I screw them up):rotfl2:, seen some material I want to pick up to try my hand at making Chloe a pillowcase dress:cutie: (hoping I can do this--thinking great holiday & bday gifts:thumbsup2 ), than went to "Big Lots" trying to find a cheap kitchen set for the kids to play with, and than the local school supply store for homeschool supplies for my babies!

Came home starving I did not eat all day!:scared1: so I stopped at "Cane's":upsidedow; but, it was a nice treat to end my day! :wizard:DS3 has said he is not coming home again today/tonight! that's ok! let them have fun! I have Chloe all week next week! so they won't be able to visit!

I'm trying to get around to everyone's PTRs/TRs one last time while I can. Hopefully I'll make it over again, but if not I'll catch up when I get back.

Hope the rain stays away tomorrow too. It sounds like you've gotten what you need!

Connie,

It sounds like you had a good time all alone yesterday. Hunter is a really good shopper and never complains when I want to stop in craft stores or dollar stores. I trade out with him though. I go to Toys R Us or to the toy department in Target or Wal-Mart. But, it's always nice to have a day when I can go all by myself just like you did yesterday.

Have you looked at Michael's for the t-shirts. Our local store had them on sale a while back. I think they were 2 for $5. Also, sign up for the Hobby Lobby emails and they'll send you coupons.

I have got to get my house ready for Sandi. Don vacuumed and mopped floors yesterday. All I have left is the guest bedroom. So maybe tonite? Then I have shopping to do for the birthday party. I'm going to try to do it before work tomorrow since I don't come in till 10.

Give my fair prince a hug and kiss please. Oh, what the heck, Give him 2 of everything.

Sorry! did not come by again yesterday. I went to have my hair cut when I got home DS3 fell asleep so I read a few PTR/TR's answered a few and went to bed with him.

Chole was dropped off at 5 this morning! and her mom was going to pick her up for 8:15. I was suppose to have her ready to go to the doctor for "trigger thumb" (this is where the tendon gets inflammed and causes the tendon to retract and the joint in the finger or thumb to bend and stay frozen. Most adults say this is very painful; but, she is not bothered by it. The treatment for adults is to inject a steroid into the tendon (alot of adults say this is just as painful--but that it works). Poor baby does not seem to be in pain so that inj is really going to hurt!:sad2:

Don't think we are doing much today. I think I'm going to straighten up around the house, just in case someone comes over tomorrow after the outing at the wildlife center.

Have a great day!!! everyone hope Heather is having luck with keeping the boys clueless!!! they'll be in Disney this afternoon pixiedust:

We missed you yesterday, for sure. I hope that Chloe is going to be okay! The poor baby. Enjoy your day. I need a day to stay home and relax and clean.

Connie

I think it is always fun to get a hair cut. Not every 3 weeks Austin. Do you think he heard me? It always makes me feel good. I wish I could make it look half as good as beauty shop lady.

I decided I was going to post on Heather's TR everyday just so she will know she was missed while gone. Unless of course I forget like I'm known to.

Have a great day and kiss the boy. I think there is a son about that.
