My husband and I booked the western caribbean cruise for the middle of Jan. We would like to take our 9 yr old grandson along. Will there be many kids his age that time of year ? Will the Oceanears Lab have there usual schedule, or are things scaled down that time of year ??:confused:

You'll find children on the cruise year-round. There will always be folks who, like you, decide they want to cruise during a certain month and will be willing to take their child out of school to go on the trip with them. While there are definitely more kids on the cruise during peak school holiday periods (Spring Break, Summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas), there will always be kids on the cruise.

Our first cruise was January, and there were tons of kids onboard. Remember that Martin Luther King Day is in the middle of the month, and lots of kids seem to be there on that week.

we went the first week last January, and believe me, there were plenty of kids on board. he shouldn't have a problem finding anyone to play with...
