I leave $2 for turndown service.
Generally they turn down the bed, set the lights, close the drapes, and replace any used towels, empty trash. It seems to vary from resort to resort, at the GF the turn down is far more extensive then at the BC.

I've never tipped for turndown service (didn't know I had to!)
However, if it's included in your level of service - should you still tip? Also, if you leave a tip for the housekeeper, and are gone all day - how do you differentiate between tip for housekeeping and tip for turndown?
Sorry to sound so uninformed
Any advice would be most appreciated!:D

We almost always stay concierge, and I still tip. Remember, it's housekeeping, not the concierge who are taking care of this.
It's a real rarity that we don't come back to our room in the late afternoon to freshen up and change for dinner, so this isnt' a problem for us. Not sure the best way to handle it.
