Just made first DVC reservation

Just got off the phone with MS and made our first DVC reservation. I'm hoping to get AKV or OKW for May 27th to June 4th next year, but reserved SSR (our home resort) in the mean time, dedicated 2 bedroom.:cool1:

Now it's just a matter of the long wait to go there.

Thanks for all the help in deciding to purchase DVC. I'm sure we'll have loads of enjoyment.:worship:

congrats on your first reservation! and have a wonderful trip....we have now stayed at all three resorts you want or have booked, each one provides a different but wonderful expierence

I just realized I didn't specify what area of SSR I preferred. From my various readings on the boards I think the Grandstand would be best for us. I have 3 kids, a 10 year old and twin 6 year olds, and they would enjoy the splash pad and being the first bus stop.

Do I request that now, or when I check in?

You can call and ask MS to put it in now. However, if you are hoping to change at 7 months, I wouldn't worry about it until then, if you can't get the switch you are hoping for.

Congratulations on booking your first stay! I just completed my first trip using my DVC and I have to say, it just felt so cool knowing we were DVC members!!!

I can't wait to book next years trip to BLT in 2 weeks, on August 31st!!

Phoned back and reserved the grandstand, rooms 8101 - 8436. With 3 kids I wanted the first bus stop.

The treehouses were already booked, but hopfully there will be room at AKV or OKW. Not that I don't want to stay at SSR, but with the points I have we'll be able to stay a week at those resorts rather than 6 nights at SSR.
