Newbie introduction

Hi all -

I'm new to the WISH boards but not the DIS, as you can probably tell from my join date. :) I'm planning on running the WDW half marathon in January 2011 so I thought I'd introduce myself and get to know some other runners.

I'm fairly new to running and currently running 3 miles 4-5 times per week. I did one 5k a few years back and then promptly quit running after horrible shin splints. I'm taking it nice and easy this time around and not pushing myself too far too fast. I've got another 5k this weekend and I'm looking forward to running the whole thing!

I look forward to getting to know everyone and cheering along with your accomplishments!

I would love to do a Disney event earlier than 2011 but I don't think it's in the cards. I will enjoy cheering everyone on and reading about race accomplishments!

Welcome Bev! How was your 5K? Feel free to join us on the monthly training thread! Most folks keep up with each other there. Things will likely be picking up over the next few weeks as most will start 'official' training soon.
