I have been to one... it did not seem rushed... My aunt said the total came to less than she expected. We did it iwht a bunch of 15 year old girls who are little girls at heart so I am sure the expierence would be a little different with little kids but we had fun. I think they did a good job.

I have done 2 for my dd (1st gr & 4th gr). Plus, my dd has attended at least 6-7 parties here. She's enjoyed each one. We did not feel rushed at all.

DD7 was invited to two build a bear parties this June.

Both were fun, well organized, and not rushed.

I stayed at the first party,
the first birthday girl is my DD's best friend
and her Mommy is preggers.
I wanted to help out in case she needed me.

The Build a Bear people were a family.
Dad set up the filler machine.
He was quite careful to not scratch the title.
Mom and Daughter helped party guests fill their bears.
Both were very cheerful with the girls.

It was a big hit.

If you don't mind a few ideas...
There were little sandwiches shaped like bears with a bear cookie cutter. Too cute.

The cake was served at a Teddy Bear picnic.

The girls had a little dance party with their bears.
It was a sea of pink

Happy bday to your bear lover.

We did one for my DD's 5th bday party. We had a great time. I barely had to do anything. They worked with my budget, which was very nice. I think we had 10 5 - 6 year olds. Never felt rushed, kids had a blast. Our BAB doesn't have a "party room" so we went to the food court afterwards and had pizza, cake, present opening. I think total cost of the BAB part was around $200. It probably would have been a little less, but we allowed our DD to pick out whatever outfit/accessories she wanted.
