Blast from the past...Sorcery in the Sky!

Long before Fantsasmic! the studios had a great fireworks display called Sorcery in the Sky. Unfortunatly, the fallout zone is pretty much where Toy Story Mania is now, so you probably will never see it any time soon. But it was a great show!

ooo I remember this show! We saw it a few times before Fantasmic! Then we saw it again a few years after Fantasmic - I was at a conference and we "rented" the studios one night for a cocktail party - they had 2 showings of Sorcery In The Sky! :thumbsup2

They really should have had it play this summer for the parks 20th this year.

Disneyland manages to have Castle fireworks and Fantasmic! so too should DHS.

The problem is they have to close off the whole back of the park to do this, and with the recent addition of Toy Story Mania, it's probably not gonna happen other than the 4th of July and NYE.

Thats why the smart trip planner goes to the fireworks at the MK on the 3rd of July, and hits the studios on the 4th! :thumbsup2

Sorcery in the Sky was always my favorite Disney fireworks show. I loved the [film themed] musical selections they used, not to mention the Scorcer Mickey's appearance at the end. I was really disappointed when they stopped it.

On a side note, we were dining at the Brown Derby one evening when Sorcery in the Sky was about to begin. The waiter said he'd put our dinners under the heatlamp while we went out to watch the show. When we returned to the table, 3 of the 4 of us received entirely new dinners due to a computer glitch!! Weren't we the lucky ones?

I was on the College Program back when it ran and we would go everynight if we could to see it!:laughing:

I still listen to the soundtrack now and then on my ipod. ;)
