Little mickeys that are painted on...Disney told me that it was very popular in China, where they would paint on teddy bears...So Disney did it with MIckeys...You can search ebay and see, or go to Disneystore.com and check them out...They are cool....

Ummmm, they are the coolest things EVER! Check out this fan site for it, called Vinylnation.net (http://www.vinylnation.net/whatis.html). Here are a few images of some of the many figures that have been released already:

They also sell 3" & 9" versions that are blank so you can put your own designs on them and make them one of a kind.:thumbsup2

These are so cute! I really needed something else to collect! LOL Im going to the MNSSHP so I really hope I can get the halloween one and the holiday ones and the character ones!

You can buy the box of 24 of each series. You get 2 sets of 11 (22), + 1 mystery chaser + 1 duplicate = 24. There are no price breaks though. They are 24 x $9.95. = $238.80 + tax

Just got back from WDW and bought my first two vinylmation figures! I got the blue clear and the toon hole one. It's a miracle I didn't buy more of them. They are so cute!

Does anybody know when the figures first came out? We were there last December and I didn't see them then. My guess would be sometime this year?

I also love that Figment one in the pictures above. Adorable! Don't think I'd be willing to pay ebay prices though.

Did you see the price of vinylmation pins now? Last year vinylmation #1 were $12, in August they were $12.95. Now urban park #2 are 16.95, according to the Disney pin trading website. :scared1: Looks like somebody is cashing in on a good thing.

My sister is at DL right now and was able to find a few boxes of park 2 series pins. Also, she found some pins from this series on cast member lanyards. :yay: These have been difficult to find at WDW.

Hi guys - new to the boards with a question about these figures. Do these things have movable parts to them?? Also wondering how much the little ones cost.

Thanks

Yes, they do have moveable arms (not a full range of motion, but some ability to raise their arms a bit). The small 3" vinyls are $9.95. The larger 9" vinyls are around 40 bucks. www.vinylnation.net is where you can find the most up to date info.

New pins are coming. Disney's official pin site shows holiday and park #3 vinylmations. At what point do you stop? Also, Taco Bell has vinyl figures in the kids meals.

I just don't understand the appeal of these things. They may be hot now, but I predict that you'll be able to buy them for $1 apiece in a couple of years.

They're just the latest collecting fad that has come around. Same thing as Beanie Babies, Pokemon, Pogs, and other things like that. Eventually it will burn out and people will move on to something else. That being said, people love them and enjoy collecting them. But don't buy them as an investment. They won't hold their value. Buy them to enjoy them and love them.

Some of the collectors (myself included) are already started to get burned out by them. They've got too many coming out too close together that it's impossible to keep up. I know some people who are already getting rid of their whole collection. Like you said, I didn't buy mine as an investment, I bought them because I enjoy them (to an extent :lmao:).
