One of the times I was there I met this couple who worked in the costume department and they were there on a vacation day enjoying the fireworks. They said that Tinkerbell was a nurse by day and Tinkerbell by night. They said that her husband strapped her into the harness each night and then pushed her off the edge of the castle down to Tomorrowland every night.
I don't know how she got the job, but thought I'd let you know that it's not a full time job. :rotfl:

I read somewhere but can't remember now to save my life where but that the only real requirement (besides the nerve to do it I guess...LOL) was you couldn't be any taller than like 5'3" and weigh no more than like 105 or 115 lbs....and Tink has been known to be a girl or a boy ;) I've seen a close up picture once on here years ago (like 4) and Tink had a 5 o'clock shadow! LOL :rotfl2:

I went on Keys to Kingdom Tour in May. Our guide stated there are 3 qualified Tinks that fly. She stated that Tink is pushed off the castle. If there is not enough momentum to keep you going, once the fireworks start you would have to turn off the lights of your costume and hand over hand pull yourself down the cable to the bottom. Better work on that upper body strength.
