Ok, guys - here's the scoop - Its pretty darn fun! and Beware, its Addictive!
There are 5 different games, all of which should be very familiar to people who have ridden TSMM before.
Hamm's Egg Toss - Hit the moving targets with eggs... Ducks, beavers, etc
Buzz Lightyear's Ring Toss - complete with Aliens
Bo Peep's Balloon Popping - Dart Toss with a shake to reload
Toy Soldier Plate Breaking - aim and fire! Break those plates, soldier!
Woody's Roundup - Shoot the target, slide of a bar to reload your gun
Each game has a challenge mode and free play mode. The free play is locked when you start and only the "easy" challenge mode is unlocked to start. I'm assuming more levels and difficulties come as you play though it.
And there is also a Prize Barn - Can't tell you what's in it.. I just quickly tried it all the games out, and didn't manage to unlock anything!!
PS - Great music too - bet you could annoy a ton of passengers on a trans-pacific flight to Australia with it :rotfl:

It claims to on Itunes - 2nd generation iTouch is in the requirements.
I also have to add - it really is fun. And its a lot like TSMM - Hitting certain targets causes new things to happen in the game - like hitting an owl in a tree causes additional targets to open. There is also a sun with a cloud -- and 5 targets in it. I bet it will cause rainbows -- IF I can hit it right!!! AHHH!!
Does this sound familiar to anyone.. I think its a great bit of fun when I can't be riding the real game!!!

I love it so far! Makes my elbows sore just like the real game. It has a "gallery" in the settings. It uses the GPS of an iPhone to tell if you are at DHS of DCA at the rides and it unlocks bonus wallpapers if you are! So cool.
Thanks for the heads up, gonna try and download it now :)
:goodvibes
Just played through Hamm 'n' Eggs, damn it's fun :)

Downloading 3.0 for my iPod Touch now - it's about time I got to see what this app business is all about! What better motivation than TSMM!

I do, but I get a message that the Application won't work with my IPod, so it doesn't even sync. Weird because other Aps work!

It's pretty good for an app. Takes a little time to get used to it, but it's fun!

No Problem! Glad I had a "quick fire" that no one else had posted yet!!:goodvibes
Both of our kids have played now - I think Hamm n'Eggs is the favorite here, but I've actually done the best at breaking plates!!
Some of the controls do take a few minutes to get used to, but once you do, its pretty good fun - finally competition for my solitaire app !!!

On a related note, I was in Target last week and saw that Toy Story Mania for the Wii will be released on September 15. :cool1:

Oh, great! I don't have an iPhone or an iTouch.

Do I have to get one of those, or should I buy a Wii?

Am I the only one having issues with this APP? I love it! Love the games I have been able to play. But it keeps shutting down on me and my screen goes blank? Any hints?

Not had any problems myself, though have had apps do similar things in the past

It doesn't work for me either! Supposedly a secnd generation iPod Touch is required, but how do you tell what generation you have?
I upgraded to the 3.0 software so now I can get apps (am loving trying out the Kindle app and some free books!), but I paid $4.99 for the TSSM game and I can't play it!
On another note, I bought a Wii TSM Reservation card at Target yesterday for $1. You bring it in during the first 7 days of release, buy the game and get a $5 Target gift card, so it's like getting it for $4 off. I'm really excited!

I've had it almost a year, but I did buy it refurbished from Apple. Is there any coding on the device, or in iTunes, to tell? All I can find is the serial number, which isn't giving any hints! :lmao:

I just found it by doing a simple Google search (who knew?)

Pity, this game is sooo addictive!
Hamm and Buzz are my favourites :)

The easiest way I know the difference is that I have to have headphones to listen to my touch. Madi does not. I have 1st generation. She has 2nd.

I think so... It has kept me entertained for a few hours now... and kept a little boy happy while waiting for us to finish up at the nail salon. So, hey, can't complain at all about it!!! :goodvibes

And if you bring your phone or touch to the Disney resorts there is an even bigger surprise. I don't know what, that is just what the app page on itunes said. Can't wait to try it out in November, it must use a connection via the bluetooth, since you have to have a 2nd gen touch or an iPhone.

I just did a search through iTunes in the store and found it. Have any of you read the reviews on it? It seems 50/50 on what people think about it. Some say not enough like the actual attraction. One person who went to parks in CA said the park tie-in worked for her; said there's a gallery button you press, you can search and download wallpapers (Pixar images) at the park.
They are supposed to have the Wii version setup to play at the Expo. If I like it I'm going to ask for it for my birthday

I'm pretty sure it works on GPS... to determine your location at the parks.

Although the iTouch doesn't have GPS support - does it?

I just bought the Toy Story Mania app the other day - it's very, very fun!:thumbsup2
And FYI for those with 1st gen iPod Touch.....they fixed the problem. If you already purchased the app, you can go back and download the "fixed" version for free.

The iPod touch does have GPS ability, but you have to be on a wi-fi network to use it.
I was not sure it would work, but was at our Foreign exchange daughter's house in North Carolina and it was able to get my location and find a route back to my home in Minnesota.

The iPod Touch does the map tracking via pinging off wi-fi connections. It does not have to connect to a network just see the network.
