again for next year! It was so funny, I had everything in the envelope and was dropping in the mailbox, and couldn't let go. My DS10 grabbed it out of my hands, rolled his eyes and said "like this!" and dropped it in the mailbox! Yikes it is so exciting!

Good for you! I was the exact same way with my mail-in application to upgrade to Goofy. I had the paperwork filled out and the envelope addressed the night before, but I wasn't sure I was actually going to mail it just yet. Fortunately DH helped me out with that - he had put it out in the mailbox before I got up, and I wasn't about to go and take it out, so I am registered!

Happy training!

You guys actually mailed something in? I filled out the online app., forked over my cc info, clicked the submit button and then thought "oh crap! what did i just do?" two sec's later I had an e-mail saying congratulations! you are registered for the 2010 marathon.

I did the half in 2005 and 2006 and the full this year. Unfortunately, I was 4 minutes over the time for an official time (I did get a medal, but not an official time :() so I am going back to improve... or kill myself ... or have a nice holiday .... or lose weight in between - lol

LOL...I kinda feel the same way about the full. I did 2008 and only made official time by 2 minutes. What kind of training program do you use?

Feel free to jump into the monthly training thread where we all keep up with each other!

I did the half in 2008 and Goofy this year. After that, I decided to take a little time off from Disney races. Now, I just returned from a trip with my son and I so want to go back and run the marathon again in January.

I'm doing the Wineglass Marathon in Corning, N.Y., in October, so I figure I'll still sorta be in shape for a January marathon.

I don't have any specific program - just taking a little from here and there. My problem this year was I only had one long walk (18 miles) and stopped training in early December due to ice. I got a treadmill in the spring so that shouldn't be a problem. I am going to do more long ones this time. Last time I was afraid the long ones would scare me too much - lol. But now I know I can do it, I just need to do it faster!
