Sesame Place is fun. I've taken my kids there a few times. It is expensive (ok not as expensive as Disney but close :rotfl2:) around $50 per person. But they have regular rides and water rides. And they have life vests you can borrow, no charge. There is a parade with the sesame street characters in the afternoon. There's lots a 5 year old can do.

There are also a few indoor water parks in south jersey. I had a personal connection to one of them so I don't want to give my public opinion. But if anyone is curious you can PM me.

A friend of mine has a season pass to the Land of Make Believe and takes her 3 year old granddaughter there every week! She loves it!!

Sesame Place is the best! Very cute for little kids and amusing for the older kids and adults too! :yay:

It's been a couple of years since I was at Land of Make Believe, but I always enjoyed taking the kids there. They have a large wading pool with a cool pirate ship that has slides. I liked that the water was only about 2 feet deep. Also there are carnival type rides there that are geared toward young kids.

I have to agree Sesame Place is great for little kids. We took our 2 there when they were about 3 and 4, and they loved it. The whole place is geared for kids, and is great for younger ones.

Sahara Sam's is great! It is in Berlin, NJ which is about 40 minutes from Philadelphia.

Sesame place probably has the most for the non-swimmers.
Land of make believe isnt as expensive, but has rides for the parents if you want to swap.
In north jersey you can go to Mountain Creek. They don't have much for little ones, just a small separate area with maybe 4 slides, but you can go in the wave pool with them, and it's most likely the cheapest option.

Hershey Park has a water park area, and so does Dutch Wonderland. Dutch Wonderland is for little kids and my granddaughter who is 4 loves it. She doesn't like to get into deep water...but she loves water play. Of course Hershey Park is in Hershey PA and Dutch Wonderland is in Lancaster PA

Sesame Place is great, but VERY VERY crowded. Can't even find a place to park...had to park in the mall lot across the highway. But it is fun if you can stand the crowds.

I agree with both LOMB and SP -- although they are both about 3+ hours apart...
