View Full Version : Update on the girls dance competition. UPDATE 7/3...WOO HOO!!!

Just got back from Rochester where my girls did an awesome job!!!

First of all, let me tell you it was in a place with NO air conditioning...90 degree temps outside....sweltering inside. These girls danced so great in spite of all of it I was so proud.


Here's our standings:

Acro: gold and first place. Special award for marvelous motifffe (sp?)(great costume and makeup) Nominated for a special award at the Award ceremonies on Wednesday.

Ballet: (Be Our Guest) Gold and first place. First time they have done this dance in a competition.

Jazz: Gold and 2nd place.

Tap: Gold and first place. Also nominated for an award at the ceremonies on Wednesday.

So we head back to Rochester on wednesday. Our studio actually had a dancer that finished 1st place overall for all the dances that were done today. Jessica is only 10 yrs. old and is one of the most natural dancers I have seen in a long time.

Congratulations, girls! Way to go!! Wish I could have been there. I love watching them dance. They are so good and I'm so impressed. Keep up the good work and I want pictures! :D :D

WAY TO GO GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRAVO ON A JOB WELL DONE......and bravo to mom for having such great kids!!!! Way to go!

Went back to rochester today for special awards ceremonies. My girls acro "SPIDERS" took a special award for best overall gymnastics!!! Out of over 300 dances and a lot of acro this was awesome. WAY TO GO GIRLS!!!

PLUS>>>our studio won Star Studio award for winning the most GOLD medals. Only 4 of our dances finished with silver out of all our entres.
