Hello All.

I'm planning a Trip to Paris and wanted to stop at DLP and was curious as to what those that have been there think about my potential itinerary.

I would be coming in from Lausanne, Switz. on Wed. Sept. 2nd and arriving at Paris Gare Lyo (via Eurorail) at 1 pm.

I was thinking of spending the afternoon/night at the Parks, staying 1 Night at one of the Hotels, and then spending the following morning (Sept. 3rd) at the parks again, probably being done by 2-3 PM and from there continuing to Central Paris.

How does this sound. Should I pay the extra $$$ and stay at Disneyland Paris Hotel or are they other hotels fine considering it's just 1 night. It's just me and my wife (age 28 & 25). We both love Disney and have been to WDW dozens of times.

Any advice, suggestions will be very helpful and appreciated. Thanks!!! :thumbsup2

I think it's a personal decision, but I would consider a "cheaper" (Disney) hotel (you'd want a Disney hotel because they are the closest to the parks and your time is precious), and spend your money on a nice meal at Walt's or some other fancy restaurant. You will have travelled a long way, so some rest and luxury for your dinner might be nice.

Because it's just one night, you won't be spending a lot of time in your hotel room probably (especially if you go and see the fireworks!), so you don't need a swimming pool and things like that, do you!

We stayed at the Santa Fe Hotel last week (was it just last week? it seems ages!), and I wouldn't want (to pay for) anything else, it was all we needed: a clean room, nice bathroom and friendly staff. Maybe it's stupid (because it's in Dutch), but you can try these links to get an idea of the rooms: www.disneyhotels.nl , choose "disney hotels", and then the hotel of choice, and then click "3D virtueel bezoel/3D virtual visit", to get an idea. Good luck, and have a very happy trip :)
