chances of a free upgrade ??

Hi,

Just wondering how easy it is to get a free room upgrade ????

We are staying in the sequoina lodge for 2 nights from Tuesday 13th Oct..

We have requested a quiet non smoking room on the booking form but would love a 7th floor Montana room:)

Any experiences ???

It's a possibility...you really need for the hotel to be either dead or quite busy in the lodge's but not in the Montanna Room's.

I'd wait until you get there and then try and find the happiest looking CM and ask them really, really nicely if they have any Montana rooms and if they could upgrade you...the worst they could say is no.

I was hoping we would get upgraded!!:goodvibes I put my DD who was turning 4 that day on my hips as he had a big badge with 4 on it and a birthday hat!:rotfl:I was very pleasent to the CM and all we got was the same balloon all the kids got!:rotfl2::rotfl2: Oh well!:rotfl::rotfl:

Depends how busy the hotel is, first time we stayed at SL I asked at check in if I could pay to upgrade to anything in the hotel from a lodge, only because I was on my own with the kids we arrived at gone midnight and I couldn't be bothered to go wandering around looking for our lodge, as it happened the hotel was completely full and turned out the lodge was just outside anyway.

The 2nd time I stayed at SL we had 2 lodge rooms booked but when we arrived we had been upgraded to Montana lake view rooms FOC, so it's just luck of the drawer.

We also had free upgrade to Lake View rooms at NPB, again it was a complete surprise, I don't think I could bring myself to ask for a freebie, but I'm sure others do.
