View Full Version : No more filet mignons! - 8 days of DxDDP; 4/29 Best/Worst

Please note - 4/25:
Due to many crazy life-changing things, this got put on the back-burner for a while, so I'm aware it's past this new 3-month rule (which was not in effect when I started this review). I plan to have it finished by the end of this week/start of next week, so I can have it out of my head and off my chest. :P
Words I never thought I'd say... But, the DxDDP happened and changed that. :thumbsup2
My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon. :goodvibes 8 days on DxDDP, so of course, a dining report is in order. You can also read our overall TR, which I'll be writing together with this one.
About us...
Me (Summer): Likes steak, dessert, and chicken. Dislikes mushrooms, seafood, and baby animals.
DH (Nic): Likes pineapple, dislikes eggs.
Setup...
We'll be including costs without Dining Plan, and tips. We'll also rate food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience out of 10 at each place.
At the end, I'll total up costs and do an overall DxDDP opinion/value post.
And the important part...

Let's start this dining report off with something completely not food... A picture of my hubby in the lounge!
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1351.jpg
And here's the menu:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1352.jpg
They quickly won bonus points with me for two reasons: One, they sat us an hour and a half early (our room wasn't ready, and we figured it was worth a shot). Two, they used sugar cubes!
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1353.jpg
Yes, I ate one.
We went with the Buckingham Palace tea.
Nic got the Nobo Whole Fruit:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1354.jpg
It was SUPER sweet. Much moreso than we expected. And I was dumb and added sugar before tasting. :scared1: But, it was very good (as long as you don't add sugar).
I got the Princess Breakfast Tea:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1355.jpg
Nic really liked it. I thought it was a little weird, but good. It reminded me a little bit of cough syrup, so I didn't totally love it.
First of the food was the sandwiches:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1359.jpg
I only wrote one note in my notebook on these. "GOOD!!" with three underlines. There is an onion tart that was a little too weird for me. Not a big fan of sweet onion things. There were five sandwiches. Egg Salad, Chicken Salad, Shrimp Salad, Pear and Gorgonzola, and Cucumber and Watercress. I subbed an extra egg salad instead of shrimp, and Ali subbed an extra chicken salad instead of egg.
Egg Salad - Very good. Not too much mayo/mustard. Loved it. :)
Chicken Salad - Didn't really have much chicken to it, but tasted really good.
Shrimp Salad - Nic liked it, although I didn't try it.
Pear and Gorgonzola - Really really good. Our server's favorite, and I can see why!
Cucumber and Watercress - Delicious! Very fresh. I like this paring at home, so I loved it there!
Next up was the scone and tart round.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1360.jpg
Now, Nic is not a fan of scones at all, but even he loved this. Totally delicious. It was moist and the cream gave it a perfect very light sweetness. Wonderful. The raspberry tart was good, but nothing super special. Nothing like that scone. Mmmm....
Now, normally, they let you each choose two pastries. But, we were on our honeymoon, so they told us to each choose three!
Here's the tiramisu, raspberry swan, and chocolate covered eclair.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1362.jpg
The tiramisu was very good, even though I usually don't like coffee flavoring. The raspberry swan was very strange. The raspberry was good, but the pastry was... not quite gross, but just not good. The chocolate eclair was just okay for me, but Nic really liked it.
And here's the fruit mousse, chocolate covered strawberry, and banana cake.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1363.jpg
The fruit mousse was strawberry and mango. We thought it was very light and perfect. The chocolate covered strawberry was just that. But, we noticed it was well made. The chocolate actually stayed attached after a bite and didn't all fall off. The banana cake was by far our favorite. So delicious!!
Food - 8/10
We really enjoyed most of the food here. But, there were a few things we didn't love, so, only an 8.
Service - 7/10
Server's Name - Angela
While she was perfectly fine, I don't really feel she went above and beyond. Just kinda normal boring service.
Atmosphere - 9/10
We loved the atmosphere here! It was so nice to look either out at the grounds, or back into the lobby. It was quiet, but not silent. Beautiful. :goodvibes
Overall Experience - 8/10
While we really enjoyed it, and we'll probably go back, there were a few things we didn't like, and it wasn't perfect.
Total Cost of the Food: $41.54

There are both set menus (like the one we got, which included everything we had, or other ones with more or less things) and a la carte.
All the menu options are here:

We got the Buckingham Palace. You can get everything individually, if certain things don't sound good to you.

Next up, Raglan Road.
A forewarning here... The lighting was weird, so a lot of the pictures aren't the best. I tried my best though, but we forgot our camera at home and had to borrow my grandparent's so we weren't used to it. :sad2:
Anyways, Raglan Road!
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1379.jpg
Nic was so excited about eating here the whole time we were planning, so we were excited to get there.
First came the soda bread:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1383.jpg
And the dip:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1384.jpg
We got what they were trying to do with the dip, but it wasn't working. My mom makes soda bread, and I like it, but this was really dry and not good. Worrying start.
I got the Lickin Chicken:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1385.jpg
Overall, I LOVED this dish. The sauce was wonderful! I really enjoyed it. My only complaint were that a few parts of the chicken were a little burned for my liking.
Nic got the soup of the day, a Canadian Beer and Cheese soup.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1394.jpg
So delicious!! Gave Le Cellier's a run for their money (but the pretzel bread makes them win). It was cheesy and delicious, but super filling. The breadstick was really good too. It reminded us of a Cheez-It.
I got the Goat's Town:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1396.jpg
It was good, but after a few bites, it was very overwhelming. Like, for the first three or four bites, it was amazing. Then I wanted to puke between the texture of the goat cheese and the oversweetness of the dressing. It started to really get to me.
Nic got the fish and chips:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1395.jpg
He thought it was really good. He said it didn't taste "fake" like he says a lot of fish and chips do. I didn't try it, since I don't do seafood, but I did try the chips. They were super good! I've heard of people having them not fresh, but these were!
For dessert, I got the Triple Your Pleasure:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1398.jpg
Starting at the left... The white was PERFECT. Light, and just sweet enough. The milk was a little thin and the taste reminded me of when you try to make chocolate milk and put in too much chocolate syrup. The dark chocolate was a little thick for my taste, but it tasted delicious! I was so full, though, that Nic ate most of it, and loved it!
Nic got the Dunbrody's Kiss:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1400.jpg
It had a really good chocolate taste to it, but there were these weird chunks in it. We could tell they were trying to add texture, but it failed. It just ended up weird. But, taste, delicious!
Food - 6/10
While there were a lot of things we loved, we were also disappointed in a lot. It was really an up and down meal.
Service - 7/10
Server's Name - Brooke
While she was nice enough, there wasn't much that stood out. She took our orders, delivered our checks, and checked on us occasionally. Usually, it wasn't her bringing the food to us, even, which we noticed a lot during our trip. I don't like that, personally.
Atmosphere - 5/10
I know there's usually live music, but there was none when we were there. So, to us, it just felt like a loud pub. Not too good of an atmosphere.
Overall Experience - 7/10
We'll probably come back some day, sure, but we're not rushing back. We really enjoyed some things, but there were a lot of things that weren't the best, so... Yeah.
Total Cost of Food: $68.68
My DS had the soup when we were there in june. He love it and the cheese stix it comes with. To bad you didn't try the Dulkey Duo appetizer it is so good.

We looked at it, but I'm not a big fan of cocktail sausages or anything mustard sauce. So, seemed like a bad idea. :rotfl:

Hey there! :) Hmmm... That's tough. We think we'll do DxDDP again sometime, but instead of 3 meals a day, do a table service and a signature. I think that would be a good use of the food without over stuffing.

Yeah, we did our last trip OOP, and it was really helpful to gauge the price we were looking at when people did that, so, I did.

We did that with Le Cellier last year. :rotfl: I really wanted to try the creme brulee and the soup, but we also wanted to snack around the world showcase, and had dinner at Teppan Edo, so we just went for apps and dessert. You could do the same thing, but with RR!

08-17-2009, 10:05 AM
We started off the day by hopping a monorail for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.
It all started okay. We sat down and ordered orange juice and chocolate milk for both of us. Server seemed friendly. We could see the characters making their way around. Alright.
Then I asked where the bathroom was. This was the first of many restaurants where the bathroom is outside the restaurant. I hate that. I should not have to trek across the hotel for a bathroom. So, I go, letting the guy standing at the door know that's where I'm going, and do I need to do anything special to get back in. He says no, it's fine. So, I go, and come back, and it's another guy standing there, and he's all suspicious. I'm like "Do people never have to pee?! This place is filled with children. Are you kidding?" and finally after pointing out my table and telling him my name and reservation time (which he didn't check while I was there, but seemed to reassure him), he let me go. So, I'm grumpy when I get back to the table.
Alright, let's go get food, and see if that cheers me up.
Here's Nic's plate:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1401.jpg
That's strawberry soup up in the corner. Then, clockwise around the plate, pineapple, croissant, potatoes, ham, sausage in the middle.
The soup was good, but more creamy and less strawberry-y than we'd hoped for. The pineapple was really good and juicy and sweet. Nic informed me that the croissant want "not croissant-y enough". Take that for whatever you want. :lmao: The potatoes were good, but a little bland. The ham was super good. Our favorite thing. And the sausage was "sausage-y" according to Nic (which he explained as meaning, it tastes like sausage, and it's not bad, but not super good).
And here's my plate:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1403.jpg
Starting at the bagel, going clockwise: bagel with cream cheese and tomato, potatoes, yogurt with granola, bacon, ham, breakfast pizza, sticky bun.
The bagel itself was stale. The granola was stale. The bacon was gross (although I never had good bacon, except at Kona, the whole trip). The breakfast pizza was okay. And the sticky roll itself was good, but the nuts tasted weird. Yeah, not so happy with my plate.
And a close up shot of the soup:

Now, during our trip up, she brought our drinks, and we returned to one glass of chocolate milk. We didn't think too much of it, and thought we'd ask for another one. Little did we know, we would not see her for over 40 minutes. We ate, and were not necessarily full, but not hungry anymore. Then we sat and waited. And waited. And waited. All the characters came around.

And then started to come around again. And we were getting pissed. Finally, we saw another server, and asked her to please get us our server. So, she finally comes out, acting like nothing's wrong, and I'm like, "Can we please get our check now? We've been done for quite a while." So, she gets us our check. Then, she disappears for another 15 minutes to freaking run our card. I was livid by the time we left.
Food - 4/10
It was edible, and some was good, but mostly, pretty bad.
Service - 1/10
Server's Name - Michelle
I gave her a one, because that's how many chocolate milks she brought us. Worst service all week, hands down.
Atmosphere - 7/10
Very buffet-y, but still nice.
Overall Experience - 3/10
Between bad food and bad service, it was not a good experience, and we won't come back. At least, not any time soon. Maybe off in the future, we'll give it a try, see if it changed. But, for the next few years for sure, no.
Total Cost of Food: $44.71

Hello there from a fellow Grand Rapidian!
Loving the combo photo/journal approach to your dining review. Congrats to you and your sweetie on your recent marriage and wishes for lots of love and a long life together!
Hubby and I are planning a trip at the end of Sept to celebrate our 10th anniversary and are going to do our best to work the daylights out of the DxDDP too so I'm way interested in all perspectives.
Can't wait for the next installment!

Mostly, yeah. There's also the usual things like mickey waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, cereal and omelettes. It's was a pretty typical Disney character buffet.

All four of those are places we went on our last trip, too, so you can check out our other dining report too, if you're interested. :goodvibes Those four are some of the highest on our want-to-go-back list.
I love that you are rating the service too!
Of course! I think that's very important. If I go somewhere and get awful service, I don't really enjoy it. I'm a big "overall experience" person, and I know we've had very different experiences at the same restaurant just because of service. But, maybe that's just me. :confused3 :rotfl:

Warning: This was another place with weird lighting, so a few pictures are a little weird.
Well, we were here last year, and loved it, so we came back.
Our quick opinion regarding the LeCe controversy: We love it, but is it the best place on property? No. Compared to most of the 2 credits and stuff, yeah, it's not as good. But, as far as non-signatures go, we think it's pretty dang good.
We started with some smoothies (covered on the DxDDP)
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1430.jpg
I got sour apple, Nic got Strawberry. I thought the sour apple was okay, but too sour for me. Nic thought the strawberry was good. But, I really loved the strawberry, and he really loved the sour apple, so we switched! Both are really delicious, but be warned, that sour apple is SOUR. Or at least, mine was.
Bread Basket!
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1431.jpg
There's of course, the delicious pretzel bread. Sooo good. The multigrain and sourdough were also very very good.
I got the cheese soup.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1432.jpg
Yummmmm. Just as good as last year! Especially with the pretzel bread. Holy crap, delish.
Nic got the Spicy Chicken and Chorizo Sausage:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1433.jpg
Now, I'm not a fan of super spicy, and the girl did warn us this was spicy. But, it was soooo good. Yes, it was spicy, but with the polenta, it was a little less edgy, and it was just so delicious. We were so glad he went with it.
We both got the filet, without the mushrooms. I got it with the cream cheese potatoes:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1434.jpg
My filet was wonderful and tender. The potatoes were, of course, delicious. My uncle makes them really well, and these reminded me so much of his.
Nic ordered it with the potato gratin:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1436.jpg
He thought that his was delicious. And, the gratin was good, but nothing super special.
We got a side of poutine (not included on the DxDDP), because we love it (Nic's Canadian so this kind of stuff is normal to him).
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1435.jpg
It was weird. It was regular cheese, not cheese curds, and the gravy was weird. It was okay, but we weren't too big of fans.
For dessert, we got the maple creme brulee, and the chocolate mousse.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1437.jpg
We got a special pretty plate! And this was the first of many "Don't eat the Mickey balloons!" we got. They hurt. :rotfl: The creme brulee was really good, but one part was a little too burnt. I like it more lightly bruleed. Kinda like, in the middle of where this dish was (half burnt to a crisp, half barely touched). The mousse was delicious, but super rich.
Food - 8/10
We were dissappointed in the poutine, and while most things were super delicious, a few things were just okay (the over burning of the creme brulee, the gratin), so only an 8.
Service - 9/10
Server's Name - Ashley
She was wonderful. We got stuff fast, but not too fast. She was sweet and helpful. We liked her.
Atmosphere - 8/10
We like the atmosphere, but we happened to be stuck between two obnoxious groups(not the restaurants fault, I know), and the tables are quite cozy in there. So, it kinda took away from the atmosphere.
Overall Experience - 8/10
We really enjoyed ourselves here. It was great, and we'll definitely be back.

After a very rainy afternoon in the showcase, it was time for Garden Grill. We were pretty excited because I'd heard it rotates over The Land stuff.
Yeah, it sucked. First of all, not at all what I was expecting for what we were rotating over. Second of all, we were on the second row, so we couldn't see anything anyways.
There was bread, though I didn't get a picture because Mickey was there, and then I blanked on it. The bread was pretty boring, and the butter tasted good, but had zero spreadability.
We started off with a salad:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1447.jpg
It was okay, but really nothing special.
Then came the food:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1452.jpg
The flank steak was good. They served it medium rare, although I'm sure you can ask for it otherwise. It could've really used more sauce, though. The potatoes were very good. The mahi-mahi was untouched, since neither of us really like it. The turkey was good, but the cranberry sauce was a little too thick. The stuffing had good flavor, but just not enough of it.
Then, the blueberry buckle:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1458.jpg
It was good, but not like amazing good.
And, of course, the characters:

Yes, that's whipped cream on Pluto's mouth. I have no idea why it was there, but we informed him and helped him get it off.
Food - 6/10
It was okay, but nothing super good. And, although we were on the dining plan, it was in no way worth the out of pocket cost if you aren't on it.
Service - 7/10
Server's Name - Agnes
She got us stuff when we needed it, but she was really not into it. She did her job, but I felt she thought we were like a burden to her more than anything.
Atmosphere - 3/10
Couldn't see the stuff that was supposed to be special. We had a great view of a blank wall. Yay.
Overall Experience - 6/10
It was okay, but we probably won't be back. Wasn't the worst on the trip, just... nothing special. I felt really blah about this meal.
Total Cost of Food: $61.46

:)Thanks for the update on Garden Grill. This is the only dinner character meal we have attended. I want to go b/c my son loves Chip/Dale but I'm torn b/c there are so many good restaurant at Epcot. I guess we will try to include it in our December trip so I can cross it off (my husband laughs at me that I need to go to all character meal so I can get characters in different outfits, he said our son would not care since we never took him here). I'm not really crazy about the food selection but I guess we will try like LTT (thank goodness we did that one 2x b/c they don't offer characters there anymore... I really didn't enjoy my meal there but my son loved it (first time we went during halloween party so the character wore costumes and then my son wanted to return which I'm glad we did b/c they were dressed different again) so I was able to cross that character meal off my list. http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1360.jpg
Now, Nic is not a fan of scones at all, but even he loved this. Totally delicious. It was moist and the cream gave it a perfect very light sweetness. Wonderful. The raspberry tart was good, but nothing super special. Nothing like that scone. Mmmm....

We started off our Magic Kingdom day with Kona Cafe.
We got Lilikoi juice to start. Nic loves passion orange guava juice we have here at MSU, and so he loved the Lilikoi. It was thicker than I was expecting, but good.
I got the Big Kahuna:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1464.jpg
Holy crap, those pancakes. Moist, sweet, wonderful, delicious. My pancakes just do not compare. The french toast, though, was nothing too special. The ham was good but super fatty. The bacon was good. Not typical Disney buffet bacon. The sausage was really good but greasy. The eggs were a little watery for my taste, but otherwise, good. And the potatoes were pretty good.
Nic got the fruit cup:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1465.jpg
We love the presentation! The fruit was so good, fresh, and juicy. The banana bread was delicious, too.
They brought us out this special dessert:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1466.jpg
I'm not exactly sure what it was... They were like puff pasty with this weird thick smooth cream on top. We only took a bite each because we were in a hurry to get to the MK. The cream was good, but the pastry was super dry.
Food - 9/10

I, of course, started with the Tavern Fried Cheese:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1477.jpg
It was good. The longer sticks were just plain mozzarella sticks, but they were still good. Those little pieces are DELICIOUS though. Holy crap. So good.
Nic ordered the Beef and Vegetable Soup:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1478.jpg
He said it was very yummy. It was nice and hearty and not too brothy like a lot of soups. Mostly good stuff with enough broth it add to it without overpowering.
We both got the Pot Roast:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1480.jpg
It was SUPER delicious. So tender, not much fat at all, and able to be cut with a fork. SO good. I wish mine turned out like this. The potatos, on the other hand, were a bit boring. But, then again, we were kinda subconciously comparing to LeCe's cream cheese potatos.
I ordered one of, if not THE best desserts of the trip. The Toffee Cake:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1483.jpg
HO. LY. CRAP. SO GOOD. Oh, it was like toffee cookie dough that was warm with some vanilla ice cream. Oh my goodness. It was so heavenly. I can't say enough good things about it. I will go back to the restaurant if only for this.
Nic ordered the "Triple" chocolate brownie:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1484.jpg
Now, this was good, don't get me wrong. BUT, we were told it was milk, dark, and white chocolates. All we tasted was the milk chocolate. Just tasted like a regular brownie. But, still good. Just, not what we were expecting.
Food - 9/10
It was all pretty good. We'll probably be back.
Service - 7/10
Server's Name - Sandy
Was perfectly fine, but a little slow and was rarely the one who actually interacted with us.
Atmosphere - 6/10
I don't know. We were cramped, and our view was of the area with the silverware and stuff. Heh. Wasn't a counter service, but not really a good atmosphere.
Overall Experience - 7/10
The food was so good, and we enjoyed ourselves. But, the atmosphere wasn't the best, plus kinda weird service.

You seem to be eating at a good number of the same restaurants that we are going to eat at in December. :) Love your review of LTT!! We've eaten there for dinner but never lunch and I was eye-balling that Toffee Cake. Now I know that I need that!!!

Alright, guys... After getting a new job and then a round of h1n1 for the whole family, I'm back!!! :)
Off to post the next review right now to celebrate!

Alright, I'm back from the insanity (new job, h1n1) and it's time to keep reviewing!!
So, for dinner, we headed back to Kona Cafe, but for dinner!
We started out with some bread.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1486.jpg
Now, this was basically Hawaiian bread like you can buy, but it was goooooood! So yummy!
We both got the virgin strawberry daquiris:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1487.jpg
Good, of course. Not as good as the one from LeCe, though...
We were pretty boring in our diversity, I'll warn you now.
We both got pot stickers for appetizers:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1488.jpg
These were very delicious. A lot of times I either get pot stickers under-done or over-done. These were perfect. Only problem is I wanted more sauce. Nic enjoyed the seaweed salad, but it's not really my thing. But, I tried a bite, and it wasn't bad.
Then, we both got the Teriyaki New York Strip Steak:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1489.jpg
It was very fatty, which I'm not a big fan of, but that is normal for the cut. Otherwise, pretty good. Again, low on sauce. The part of the rice with sauce was very good, though. The broccolini was perfect!
Nic got the white chocolate cheesecake:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1491.jpg
Holy crap, delicious. Those little strand things are white chocolate, and I ate them all. Light, and delicious, and so yummy.
I got the banana chocolate creme brulee:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1492.jpg
Good, of course!! Only problem I had was the chocolate layer at the bottom. Sounds good, but in theory, it kinda threw it off. I don't know, I didn't really like it.
Food - 8/10
It was all good, but a bit more sauce and it would've been a 10.
Service - 7/10
Server's Name - Debi
She was sweet, but we told her from the get-go we were in a hurry (getting to the parade), and she was slow. And it was stuff that wasn't the kitchen, it was her. Like, the bill exchange took over 15 minutes. And we'd see her just sitting at another table talking. She'd also sit at the table, which I don't know... Didn't quite sit right with me.
Atmosphere - 7/10
You have to love it, because it's the Polynesian, but we were right next to the wall, and the line from Ohana's was pretty obnoxious to look at.
Overall Experience - 8/10
Will we be back? Of course! But there were a few things we'd like the change.
Total Cost of Food: $94.49

OMG...we had the same waitress..I just checked my receipt. I just reviewed Kona dinner and the amount of time it took for her to get back and forth and give us our bill was completely rediculous. She sat and talked to tables for easily 10 mins each while all her other tables were waiting for thigns! Glad she was nice to you though besides that. We must have gotten her on a bad day or something :(

Sorry for the delays. Between the holidays, and moving to our new apartment, and working, it's been insane. But, I am sick of not having this finished, so it WILL be finished this week. I'm just going to push it out. lol
Time for the food porn!
Nic's plate
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1542.jpg
Ham, croissant, tater tots, sausage.
My plate
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1543.jpg
Oatmeal and brown sugar, assorted breads, hardboiled egg, a lone tot, bacon, and potato wedges.
My oatmeal
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1544.jpg
Big bowl of oatmeal and brown sugar.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1545.jpg
Our cupcake! :)
Well, we were disappointed. Pretty mediocre, but, you know, character breakfasts. The ham was good but VERY fatty. Bacon was, of course, awful. The oatmeal, though, was very delicious. I went back for a giant bowl. Nic also wanted me to point out that the bananas were very good.
Food - 6/10
A few good things, but overall, pretty mediocre.
Service - 7/10
Server's Name - Sue
She wasn't bad or anything, but, like the food, just okay. She got the job done, but didn't seem friendly at al.
Atmosphere - 7/10
I love the theming in here. Also, air conditioning on a hot day is always a good thing.
Overall Experience - 7/10
We had fun, but like I said, food and service left something to be desired.

Next up, Yak and Yeti.
I ordered the Lettuce cups:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1568.jpg
They were so so SO delicious. My only thing would be that they were rather spicy, which I usually don't like. But they were so delicious, I ate them anyways. But, for anyone who doesn't like spicy food, these are spicy.
Nic got Pot Stickers:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1569.jpg
Very delicious, but he thought the sauce was a little too strong.
For entrees, Nic got Sweet and Sour Chicken:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1570.jpg
And I got Honey Chicken:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1571.jpg
We both had the same conclusion. Good, but pretty bland. Could use a little more flavor, for sure. Also, the rice was very poorly steamed. Very yucky. It was still crunchy.
For desert, I got the Fried Wantons:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1572.jpg
SOOOOO delicious. I wanted to come here just for those, and I'm glad we did! Perfect when eaten with just that little bit of ice cream for that warm/cold effect. So good.
Nic went for the sorbet trio:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1573.jpg
Also, SO good. Very light and delicious. There was mango, which was my favorite. Not too mango-ey, just right. Then a lemon, which was a good light and natural flavoring. And the raspberry, which was Nic's favorite. I don't tend to like raspberries, but I had to admit it was delicious!
Food - 8/10
Appetizers and desserts were so good, but the bland entrees with the yucky rice were a let down.
Service - 8/10
Server's Name - Nicole
She was very sweet, but a little slow. Nothing bad, though.
Atmosphere - 7/10
It was good theming, but we got seated in a weird spot. Also, I understand the AC because it's Florida, but I was shivering SO bad I wanted to leave. There is such a thing as too cold.
Overall Experience - 8/10
We'd come back, for sure. Maybe just for appetizers and dessert, though, since that'd be enough food for a lunch by far.
Total Cost of Food: $75.20 + drinks
I lost my receipt, so I had to do the math.
Glad your back Happy New Year!!!!!! Enjoying your update food looks good can't wait for the rest.:goodvibes

Oh, Jiko, how I love thee.
I was never understanding of the love of Jiko because I'm just not too big a fan of African food. But we decided we might as well try it, and we are SO glad we did. We STILL talk about those shortribs at almost every meal.
As opposed to breakfast and lunch were it was loud, crazy, typical Disney insanity, Jiko was perfect. We got off the bus, walked in, found our way, checked in, and sat down. The air conditioning was just right. The music was perfect volume. It wasn't so quiet that you feel weird talking, but not so loud you get stressed.
We were taken to our table right next to the windows, where we had this beautiful view:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1587.jpg
We sat down, and Michelle, our wonderful goddess of a server came over, bringing yummy treats.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1579.jpg
The bread here is SO good. YUMMMM.
She took our drink orders. I ordered a virgin Pina Colada.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1584.jpg
Delish. And Nic ordered a virgin Strawberry Daquiri, but the picture got missed.
She came back with our drinks, along with the head chef, and they talked us through the menu and helped us with any questions. We were one of three parties in the restaurant, so we didn't feel rushed. I love that they take time to do that. And they stayed the perfect amount of time and knew when to leave.
I ordered the Taste of Africa:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1585.jpg
Okay, naan bread. Freaking delicious. The dips were very good. There was (from left to right) a marinara-ish sauce, which was good but not too too special. Then there was an olive spread, which I usually don't like, but I liked this. And then, my favorite, the hummus. YUM. Perfect. The other breads (can't remember the names) were delicious too. There's a bread for everyone.
Nic ordered the BBQ Chicken Flatbread:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1586.jpg
Again, SOOO so good. The apples were an awesome compliment to the chicken and sauce and warm softness of the bread. Perfect crunch. It was very filling. You could totally make it a meal. But, that's not we did!
I went with the filet:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1590.jpg
Very very good. Our favorite all week. The mac-n-cheese was a little weird, but good. The meat was tender and not too fatty and delicious.
Nic went with the short ribs:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1591.jpg
I wrote two words on my note pad for this. "THE ****." Oh my god, they were SO delicious. Nic tried to move it, and the bone literally came out clean. The sauce was perfect, the meat was tender and wonderful. So freaking delicious. The waitress came over and I was literally forking the plate for every last drop. She laughed and asked if we were glad we'd gotten it. YES, YES, a thousand times YES. I want to go back to Disney and have this for every meal.
Okay, I'll shut up. Order the short ribs.
Dessert time. I got the S'mores off the kids meal:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1594.jpg
It was good, but sickeningly sweet after a few bites.
Nic ordered the Tanzanian Chocolate Cake:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1595.jpg
It was our favorite dessert, by far. Really really good. Perfect chocolate factor.
For our honeymoon, they brought us the Pistachio Creme Brulee:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1593.jpg
This was very good, too. Not my favorite creme brulee, but still pretty delicious.
During the meal, the manager had come by and talked to us. We had mentioned we were headed to Mara afterwords to get some Zebra Domes, and she laughed and said they were a favorite of hers.
Well, as we were doing the check thing, she walks up to our table with a box, and sets it down.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1592.jpg
She had gotten some for us!! We were so happy.
Food - 10/10
There is literally not one thing I could pick on. It was all so so delicious.
Service - 10/10
Server's Name - Michelle
She was so sweet and so wonderful. We had a blast talking with her, and was so perfect in her clearing of the tables, refilling of drinks, speed of dinner, everything.
Atmosphere - 10/10
I rambled about this at the start, but we LOVED it.
Overall Experience - 11/10
Yeah, with Jiko, it goes to 11. And, also, with Spinal Tap, but that's something else. We had so much fun. It was by far the best meal of our trip. It had the quality of food of the other two-credits (and beyond!), and while it was very classy, it wasn't as... obnoxious as Yachtsmen or Citrico's. There weren't kids running around or anything, but we felt like we could talk and laugh and have fun with the server, where we felt a little more uncomfortable at the other 2-credits we did. Like I said, I came into it thinking it wasn't going to be that good, but wow, was I wrong.
Total Cost of Food: $126.29
... Go to Jiko. Now. Go. Quickly.
Everything looks awesome Love zebra domes we get them when we go to Boma. Next time you go you and Nic should do the culinary tour at Jiko it's free and you get to sample some of the food. Space is limited it's first come first serve before thre resturant opens.

They are soooooooooooooooooo melt in your mouth good!
I'll definitely have to try the chocolate cheesecake this time instead of the pistachio creme brulee. The creme brulee is good, but not knock your socks off good. You can beat your boots I'll be ordering the Short Ribs this time, though I'm not too crazy about the idea of the potatoes. Last year the short ribs were served with a polenta like thing. YUM! Did y'all enjoy the potatoes or were they kinda an after thought compared to the yummy goodness that is the short ribs?

Well, after being SO bad about updates, it's time for me to officially come back, for real, for serious, for good.
We've been a little down since we've had no trip coming up and I didn't really want to think about the fact that we didn't know when we'd be going back. :(
But, I'm happy to announce....
We're going back!!!! :woohoo::banana::cool1::dance3::yay:
Next summer, either in May or August (have not set dates quite yet, because we're waiting to figure out Nic's internship for the summer).
7 days, probably ASMo (subject to change based on any deals that may come out), regular dining plan, totally based on Jacques.
More info will come in the PTR when I make it, and I'll post a link in here.
But, for right now, in this thread, updates will have to do. :goodvibes
Just need to find the pictures and my notebook....

Just found your thread. Gotta get caught up.

04-25-2010, 09:56 PM
Ah, Chef Mickey's. The slowest restaurant on property.
Now, we'd been for dinner on our last trip, and the wait was SOOO long. We had an ADR, we were there early, and waited almost an hour after our ADR to finally get seated. We chalked it up to a fluke and decided to try again.
It seems, though, that we are destined to SLOOOW seating.
Arrived for our 9:30AM ADR at 9:15, so we figured we'd wait a bit. We were FINALLY seated around 10:30, and we were incredibly cranky. So, we get seated back in this weird hallway between two rooms far away from the buffet. Whatever, we chalked that up to it being a character meal and us not being children.
We were incredibly underwhelmed at the food when we were here for dinner, but they're more known for breakfast, so hopefully the food will be better, right?
Not so much. I mean, in the world of Disney character breakfasts, there isn't a super-high precedence set for food. I'm not trying to be a food snob, but, we all know they aren't so popular for the food.
Mostly, we came back as an homage to the fact that it's where we'd eaten right before we got engaged, and now we were on our honeymoon.
But, we won't be back for a while, that's for sure.
Waiter was rather distracted, though I'm sure they've got them overworked. We were so cranky from the wait, though, that it just didn't help. But, he seemed in a good mood, so that helped, even though he only came by to get us drinks and give us our check. He also gave us the check when he brought our drinks, and we never got refills. I know that they're super backed up or whatever, but seriously, do not bring my bill with my drinks. We hadn't even been seated for 5 minutes and they're like "Okay, here's the bill." That doesn't sit right with me.
Anyways, more food porn, less cranky...

Starting at the top, clockwise: Biscuits and gravy (okay), tater tots (good), hard boiled egg (as expected), mickey waffle (good), breakfast pizza (okay), something I don't recognize, granola/yogurt/grape/apple thing (delicious!), something else I don't recognize.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%205/DSCN1598.jpg
Watermelon (juicy), biscuit, croissant (good), tater tots, potatoes (good, but a little dry), corned beef hash (eh, okay, I suppose), sausage (good).
Characters! We only saw two, because we were feeling pretty rushed, and just wanted to leave.

Alright, moving on from that review. Onto better reviews!! I hate bad reviews, so let's do a good one!
Well, after our day off (well, we did do a DVC tour and spent the afternoon visiting with a good friend of ours), it was time for Yachtsman!
We took the monorail over to Epcot, and walked through the park.
It had been raining like crazy all day, so our original plan of walking over from Fantasia Gardens after a round of mini-golf was out. When we got to the BC/YC, all of the lifeguards were out of the pool directing people and opening doors. It was kind of nice, though I'm sure people would've rather been swimming.
Well, we got over and checked in. We peeked through the windows outside and discussed Storm Along Bay. We'll probably pick one of these two as our next deluxe we stay in, so we loved checking it out.
We got seated pretty quickly, and headed into the dining room, and right to the most perfect spot. Right in front of the window, looking out at the pool, the river/lake thing, and the Boardwalk.
First of all, the rolls:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%205/DSCN1604.jpg
After all I'd heard about these rolls, they did play a large part in why we ate here, I'll be honest. And they were GOOOOOD. Yuummmy! We'd come back for these.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%205/DSCN1605.jpg
Butter and garlic for them.
Nic ordered the Beef Ravioli:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%205/DSCN1606.jpg
He thought they were very delicious, and commented that they were a small portion. Note that this was not said in a bad way by any means. With DxDDP, we were appreciating small portions.
I got the cheese plate:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%205/DSCN1607.jpg
I was so bad and didn't write down what they were, but I wrote down that I loved them all, and that the gouda was my favorite. I'd taken a picture of the sheet, but it's so blurry, I can't read it.
I ordered the filet:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%205/DSCN1608.jpg
I'm going to be honest, all of these filets were running together. I do remember this was one of the better ones. It was very delicious and tender. For some reason, I was really craving fries, and these hit the spot. Very good.
Nic got the strip steak:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%205/DSCN1609.jpg
He said it was very good, and the potatoes au gratin were delicious as well.
As a surprise, they brought us this:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%205/DSCN1610.jpg
We did point out it wasn't actually our anniversary, it was our honeymoon, but I guess our TA had accidentally put anniversary on our ADR, and we weren't going to be mad and complain about free food.
Anyways, they were truffles. Incredibly delicious truffles. There was also little candied raspberry squares that were really good too.
We both ordered the Trio for dinner.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%205/DSCN1613.jpg
Yuuuummmmmmy!!! :) This was the other reason we came here, and it didn't disappoint either. All of them were superb, but our favorite was the salted caramel.
Now, just for more food porn, I took shots of the dessert trays on the way in.

Food - 10/10
No complaints from either of us. Just good, delicious food. Not quite up to Jiko-par, but damn close.
Service - 9/10
Server's Name - Samir
He was wonderful, but a little slow at times. Nothing major, but just on the refills. He was a sweetie, though!
Atmosphere - 10/10
Wonderful! From our vantage point, we could see the kitchen (which we like), but we were still right next to the window, in what I felt like was the best seat in the house.
Overall Experience - 10/10
Wonderful! We'd definitely come back for a date-night, though we probably won't be back for a few years, due to DS.

Alright, quick note here: We used 5 snack credits for breakfast.
Neither of us were too hungry, since we were really feeling the amount of food, and it was pretty hot.
Now, on a non-food note, I'd love to say, we loved mornings like this. We were there at rope drop, and rushed to TSMM and grabbed our fastpasses, and we had a whole plan on ridemax, and now was our break, so 16 minutes after rope drop, we were laughing at people running around like crazy and eating our breakfast. And, even being silly like this, we never waited more than 15 minutes in a line. :) Ridemax is our favorite thing ever.
Anyways, on to the food:
I got a fruit tart and chocolate milk (not pictured).
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1621.jpg
Good, and hit the spot perfectly. :)
Nic got a croissant, a banana, and OJ.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1622.jpg
He felt the same as me.
It was a nice, light breakfast that gave us a perfect boost of energy until later.

We had to come back here, since we loved it so much last time.
The waitress was a blast this time! :) We were sitting next to this family who was clearly unaware and scared, and she started us talking, and they were totally wonderful people!
She teased us for being too similar, and joked that she could see why we got married. We were similar because...
We both ordered PB&J milkshakes.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1625.jpg
Surprisingly delicious! We were a little leery, but we were happy with it!!
We also both ordered onion rings.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1624.jpg
We just had to, after all we've heard. SOOOO good!! :) We loved them. They weren't greasy, and perfectly battered. YUM!
Then, we both ordered meatloaf.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1626.jpg
It was delicious, though we decided we like the pot roast better.
But, we finally changed it up.
I ordered the S'mores.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1629.jpg
They were good, but only for a few bites.
Nic got the No-sugar-added cheesecake.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1627.jpg
He said it was okay, but kind of weird.
Food - 8/10
Pretty good overall, though there were a few things that were a little off.
Service - 10/10
Server's Name - M.J.
She was such a wonderful server!! Loved her!!
Atmosphere - 8/10

Well, we originally planned on Sci-Fi for dinner. But, we were pretty bored at DHS, and had rode everything we wanted to multiple times (other than TSMM, but we weren't waiting the 2 and a half hours for that again, since we'd been through with FPs). We were also still feeling iffy on Sci-Fi, so while waiting for ride #4 on ToT, I called Disney Dining, and got an ADR for The Wave that night. That way, we could head back to the hotel and relax a while (it was only 3PM), and freshen up for dinner.
We were both feeling some heat exhaustion by the time we got there, even with the break at the hotel. We felt like we were going to pass out in the waiting room. Nic had it much worse than me, and when she came to take our orders, I actually had to order for him, because he could barely read the menu. It was bad.
I got the watermelon and arugula salad.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1632.jpg
This was SO delicious. I scoured all of the cookbooks for the recipe, but to no avail, which I assumed was because it's a relatively new restaurant. But, we've recreated it ourselves several times at home. SOOOO good. I'm drooling thinking about it.
Nic had the chicken and wild rice soup.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1634.jpg
Also, very delicious, and it seemed to hit the spot and start to bring him back to sanity.
We also got bread.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1634.jpg
It was very dry, and we weren't big fans. It barely got touched.
He got the flank steak.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1635.jpg
It was really good, especially with all the side stuff (guacamole and I want to say onions).
I got the cinnamon pork.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1636.jpg
Also, VERY delicious. I loved it. I'm not normally a huge pork person, because it tends to be a drier meat, but this was delicious. It was cinnamon crusted with a delicious applesauce and SUPER delicious steamed summer squash and zucchini.
Then, we got the trios:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1637.jpg
Nic had the Cheesecake, Passion Fruit/Chocolate Mousse, and Vanilla Panna Cotta.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1638.jpg
I had the vanilla bean creme brulee, braised pineapple spears, and mint/chocolate mousse.
All of them were SOOOO delicious and perfect. We loved them all.
Food - 9/10
We were really surprised and glad we ate here. The food was SO good. We just wish we'd have been a little more coherent.
Service - 10/10
Server's Name - Bonnie
She was wonderful. She completely understood our heat exhaustion and was very patient with us and I know we weren't easy people that night. We absolutely loved and appreciated her wonderful attitude and general good nature.
Atmosphere - 7/10
Not much of an atmosphere that seems to have a purpose. The entry way is really cool, but it totally loses that when you get in the dining room. It didn't seem to be very fluid/matching.
Overall Experience - --
I decided not to give an overall experience score for this meal. I don't feel like I could do so accurately. I mean, we had great service and food, but it was an awful experience due to just feeling awful. If we'd been feeling better, it'd be a 9 or 10, but in honesty, it was maybe a 3. But, that's not to the fault of the restaurant in any way. So, no score here.

Loving your reviews so far. You have eaten in a lot of the places we are booked into this year. We are also doing the DDDP. I LOVED Jiko last time so glad you loved it too. The Yachtsman looks fantastic, I so hope that trio of chocolate desserts is there when we go. I hadn't heard about the bread, cool, something else to look forward to!

lol, Yeah. I came back to the new 3-month rule thing, so I'm trying to hurry up before I get yelled at by the dining moderators for breaking another rule. :rotfl: Most of the rest are good reviews, which I like. :) Only one semi-bad-ish one, and the rest are good. :thumbsup2

Well, we started the morning nice and rested from heading to bed early the night before.
We called out for a cab, since we had an 8 AM ADR at CMC, so Epcot was still closed, and we couldn't get through to it, and we just figured we'd call a cab and it'd be easier.
Well, it was easier, but also, the guy seemed to be going some weird ways, and I'll admit, I got a little snippy with him, because from the Poly, he took us around by OKW and down towards DTD, and then back under DHS and up. He didn't seem to be understanding of where the BC was at all, but whatever. We were in a relatively good mood from the sleeping, so we moved on.
We headed in after paying and checked in. About 5 minutes later, we were seated. Alright, sweet. Fast seating.
We got to our seats, gave her our drink orders, and headed up to the buffet.
Nic's plate:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1639.jpg

My plate:

Muffin, pastry, pineapple, yogurt and granola, oatmeal, potatoes, hard boiled egg, and pizza.
Oh my goodness, we loved it all!! :) The fruit was super fresh, the pastries were delicious. We loved it because there were a lot of light options, which we are definitely into.
The oatmeal was so good, I got a whole separate extra bowl.

Oh, how we love Teppan Edo!! :goodvibes If you're looking for a happy TE review, you'll always find it with us, I'm sure.
We always enjoy meeting new people, so we love to start off by talking about our group members. Here's a diagram of the table:
Chef
1 8
2 7
3 4 5 6
We were in seats 3 and 4. In 5-8 was a wonderful family. They were there with their son and daughter (if I were to guess, about 6 and 8 respectively). They were absolutely adorable, and we had a blast talking to them. Unfortunately, the kids in 1 and 2 were probably 13 or 14 and clearly allowed to go off with charging privileges and no parents. Their discussions of food were based solely on what was most expensive. It disgusted us to see them order the Filet Mignon and then drench it in so much soy sauce that there was a good half inch or so deep left in the dish after they were done. If you're going to do that, just order the regular steak. They also got specialty (non-alcoholic) drinks and drank 3 or 4 each. It's just one of those things that bothers us, but whatever. We just mostly ignored them (they were uninterested in talking anyways) and focused on each other and the nice family.
Anyways, for the meal...
Nic ordered the seaweed salad with ginger dressing:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1649.jpg
It was really good, though a little OD on the dressing. Next time, we'll ask for it on the side.
I ordered the assorted tempura:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1650.jpg
Delicious! Lightly battered and cooked just to perfection! Yummy!
We both ordered the Nihon Bashi (chicken and steak):
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1651.jpg
We declared it yummy-licious. Sooooo good. It also came with noodles and veggies, but we ate them before the picture. They were both very good, though a tiny bit on the bland side if eaten without sauce.
For dessert, we both got the chocolate ginger cake:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1653.jpg
Again, a very delicious course. It's a little strange of a dessert, but sooo good.

Well, after much debating, we decided to try Akershus.
We checked in, and as expected, it was a HUGE fiasco. But, we came into it expecting it, so we weren't too bothered. As a heads up, though, don't think because it's not CRT, it's not insane, because it is.
When we got in, we got our picture with Belle:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1659.jpg
We headed up to the cold buffet to grab some food. While the food on the buffet was good and there was a lot of selection, it seems rather... all over the place. Maybe this is normal for Norway (we've never been there/eaten there), but there was just a large jumble of weird things that seemed to be more of a "let's clean out the fridge" thing.
Our plates:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1660.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1661.jpg
Nic ordered the lamb stew:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1662.jpg
First, this is exactly how it was served. A little sloppy on the sides, but we chalked that up to maybe a slip while carrying it, which is understandable. We were thinking this'd be like when we make lamb stew, and it has a good amount of lamb meat. Not so much. There were barely any pieces of meat, and it was just strange in general. He barely touched it in the end, after a lot of picking to try and find some meat.
I got the traditional kjottkake:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1663.jpg
Now, this problem was just a bad communication error. I asked if these were like the sweedish meatballs you get at ikea (I know, I'm wonderful at culture), and the girl seemed to completely know what I was saying, and said "Yep, exactly the same thing!" (and not in a sarcastic manner or anything). So, I figured they were. Yeah, no. Not the same. The sauce was different, it didn't have a taste at all really, and these just seemed like giant, unflavored, balls of ground hamburger. Also, they're very large and while the outside was cooked okay, the inside was a little undercooked from what I like.
But, we were ready for dessert, which was what we knew was up our alley.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1670.jpg
Oh my goodness, soooo good. Okay, the chocolate mousse was delicious. It had a harder shell, and just was so good. Then, there was the school bread. Unfortunately, it was a little skimpy on the topping, but still SO good. Yummmmmy! Then, the rice pudding. Delicious, but probably our least favorite, if we had to pick one. We love chocolate rice pudding better, and make it at home a lot. But, this was still super delicious!

This'll be a review similar to a snack credit review, since it wasn't at all like a regular meal. I'll do a full KTTK review in my regular TR, so look for it there.
I got the Lighthouse sandwich:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1680.jpg
It was SOOO good.
Nic got the chicken fingers+fries:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1682.jpg
Also, super good. Totally typical from any CS, but just such a change from our regular good food, I loved it.

Sadly, and also, finally, this DR is winding down. This is our last dining plan meal for the trip.
This was a very strange meal for us, I'll be honest. The server was just... weird. I'll discuss throughout the meal.
We checked in, and were seated after no too long.
She brought us some bread:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1687.jpg
Which was good, but nothing particularly special.
She asked for our drink orders, and Nic asked for a glass of water, too. She asked if he wanted tap or bottled, and he said we were on the dining plan, so he wasn't sure if it was covered. She responded with "It can be...", and we were like "Well, is it or no?" and she just giggled and walked away. We were already kind of like ooookay, that was weird.
So, she comes back with drinks (including a bottle of water), and takes our appetizer orders.
I went with the Goat Cheese Truffle Salad:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1688.jpg
It was really really good. I loved it!
Nic ventured out of his comfort zone and tried the cheese plate:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1689.jpg
He really liked it, and was glad he ordered it. He's not a bleu cheese eater at all, but still tried it. It was a milder bleu, but still to bleu for him.
When our waitress came back to take our plates, she made a snarky face and said "Ah, I see you're done with your cheese plate... Yes, blue cheese is only for those with sophisticated palettes, like all our food here." and did her little giggle again and walked away. I should point out, it was a rude giggle, not an "I'm kidding" giggle.
We were definitely feeling less than happy with her when our entrees arrived.
I ordered the filet, after she practically forced me to. I'm pretty sure if I would've ordered anything else, she would've just put in my order as the filet anyways. She got SUPER offended when I said I'd had a lot of filets this week and was feeling a little filet-ed out. She asked which I'd liked best, and I said Jiko's, and she literally said "Oh, Jiko's sucks." Then, she went off about how wonderful theirs was, and I finally was like, fine, I'll get it.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1691.jpg
Was it good? Oh, yessss, of course. Sooo delicious. Was it as good as Jiko's? Nope. And when she asked, I told her I liked Jiko's better, and she made a comment of "Well, it must be that whole sophisticated pallette thing". At this point, we were about ready to grab a manager and complain, but we just aren't complainers. I know, it's stupid, we should've just complained, but neither of us are big with confrontation when it's not a huge deal sort of thing.
Nic ordered the short ribs:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1690.jpg
They were very delicious, but, again, not as good as Jiko's. Ohhh, Jiko short ribs.... ... Anyways, he liked them, but he did comment he wasn't a big fan of the parsnips.
During our entrees, she showed up to ask about refills on drinks, and when it came to the water, we were like "Well, we're on the meal plan, and I'm sure more than one isn't covered." She told us "It'll just disappear like the rest of them." and gave her obnoxious little giggle.
I ordered the Warm Banana Chocolate Torte for dessert:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1692.jpg
It was good, but a little dry. It was perfect with the ice cream, and I wish there would've been more ice cream, because I ran out, even though I tried to portion it out.
And then we come to the last drama point of the evening. Nic ordered the Lemon Cheesecake:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1693.jpg
Food first, it was very good, but rather lemony. We couldn't figure out what the giant decorative thing that sticks up was. We both took a nibble, and I was rather addicted to it, and ate a decent bit. When our waitress came up to clear the plates and drop the check, we asked "What is this made of? Is it supposed to be edible?" and she snatched the plates off the table, and snapped "Well, you've already EATEN half of it." and stomped away from the table.
We just kind of stared after her, absolutely stunned at the rudeness. I'll state again, we really regret not going and speaking to a manager in hind-sight. It absolutely ruined our meal.
Well, it turned out the drinks were covered under the dining plan, though we noticed it conveniently jacked up the amount of the bill as far as tip goes.
Food - 9/10
Pretty delicious, though there were a few weird things, as commented upon.
Service - 2/10
Unfortunately, we were so frazzled that we left our copy of the receipt, and I didn't write down her name. I think I remember it, but I'm not going to write what I think it is, since I don't want to possibly incriminate someone innocent.
You all read what I said about service. She gets two points because she at least brought stuff out timely and did keep drinks refilled, though I highly debated 0. She did her job well, just with the worst attitude and rudeness of any server I've ever had at any restaurant.
Atmosphere - 10/10
We were right at the window, looking out to MK and the lake. Beautiful!!
Overall Experience - 6/10
The food was good, and we had a good time, and we'll definitely go back. But, if we ever see her, you can bet we'll be requesting a different server. We recommend the restaurant for sure, just not her.
Total Cost of Food: Don't have the receipt.

Alright, using snack credits... Here's a breakdown:
We started with 28 Snack credits total.
Two yogurt/granola parfaits when we arrived:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%201/DSCN1349.jpg
Delicious, but a little frozen still. Future ones were served fully thawed.
26 Credits left.
Two items at Goofy's Make-Your-Own counter:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1686.jpg
I got the pretzel rods. They made one wrong, so I got an extra. Good, but Nic's was better.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1673.jpg
Nic got the rice krispie treat. So delicious!
24 Credits left.
Dole whip in between Spectro and Wishes:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1532.jpg
Delicious, of course.
23 Credits left.
Two more yogurt parfaits (no pic, looked the same).
21 Credits left.
Breakfast at Starring Rolls (see full review earlier in the thread):
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1621.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%206/DSCN1622.jpg
15 Credits left.
We got a raspberry frozen lemonade at what the reciept says is "Studio Cafe". It was just a little stand, if I recall correctly. This was around when things started getting bad with heat exhaustion. No picture, sorry.
14 Credits left.
Now, we have a missing credit here. I blame the heat exhaustion, and I think we stopped and got water, but I have nothing written down, no receipts, and no photos.
13 Credits left, apparently.
In Epcot, we stopped and got a crepe in France:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1656.jpg
Totally delicious. Just a plain sugar crepe. Soooo good.
A frozen lemonade at the Outpost:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1657.jpg
Hit the spot perfectly.
And a pretzel in Germany:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1658.jpg
Goooood. I was worried since we had no mustard or ketchup, but it was delicious!!
10 Credits left.
We bought breakfast at Captain Cook's (see full review earlier):
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1674.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1675.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1676.jpg
4 Credits left.
We had to get some ice cream sandwiches, of course:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1683.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%208/DSCN1684.jpg
Oh my goodness, so good. We'll be honest, though. Neither of us could finish ours. We'll be splitting one next time. WOW, so good, though.
2 Credits left.
We picked up a pack of Tigger Peanut Butter Cups for my father-in-law, who loves Tigger and Peanut Butter Cups. We just had to.
1 Credit left.
Nic picked up a croissant from the End Zone when we checked into ASSports for a snack.
All our credits used. :)
We were shocked to have used them all, though we would've actually liked more. Crazy us, right?

Best Breakfast: Tie between Kona Cafe and Cape May Cafe. We'll definitely be back to both!!
Best Lunch: Teppan Edo. Ohhh, yummm.
Best Dinner Jiko, of course!
Worst Breakfast: 1900 Park Fare
Worst Lunch: Now, here, worst does NOT mean the same as it does with breakfast and dinner. We didn't have a BAD lunch. But, if there has to be a worst, it'd probably be LTT. Not because of the food, but because of the atmosphere and our weird service. But, with that sad, we will still be heading back to LTT!
Worst Dinner: This was a weird decision for me, but I've decided to declare Akershus the winner (loser?). But, Garden Grill takes a close second. I thought about Citrico's, but it was really just server issues, there, and the food was delicious.
Most Expensive Breakfast: Chef Mickey's, at $53.23.
Most Expensive Lunch: Le Cellier, at $100.71.
Most Expensive Dinner: I'm missing two receipts here, so it makes it difficult, but I'm pretty sure it was Citrico's. Could also be Yachtsman or Jiko, though. The $24 of water bottles at Citrico's tips the scales, though, I think.
Cheapest Breakfast: Kona Cafe, at $27.09. (Note this doesn't include when we used snack credits for breakfast.)
Cheapest Lunch: 50's Prime Time Cafe. I don't have the receipt for proof, but I know it was cheaper than the others because we've paid OOP for basically the same meal there previously. Also, not counting CHH, because it was on the tour, so we didn't pay for that as a thing itself.
Cheapest Dinner: Garden Grille, at $61.46.
Best Appetizer: The Lettuce Cups at Yak & Yeti. Sooo delicious!! :)
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1568.jpg
Best Entree: The Kenyan Coffee Short-Ribs at Jiko. Oh, yes.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1591.jpg
Best Dessert: Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake at Liberty Tree Tavern. Heaven (and a heart attack) on a plate.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1481.jpg
Worst Appetizer: It wasn't really bad, but the salad at Garden Grille. It was more that it was the most boring, un-special, bland of our appetizers.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1447.jpg
Worst Entree: The Traditional Kjottkake at Akershus. Yeah, just weird.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%207/DSCN1663.jpg
Worst Dessert: The blueberry buckle at Garden Grille. Same thing as the salad. It wasn't bad, just the least special, and it paled in comparison to all the delicious desserts.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1458.jpg
Best Bread Service: Le Cellier's, of course. Soo delicious! :)
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%202/DSCN1431.jpg
Best Filet Mignon: Jiko's, of course!
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1590.jpg
Worst Server: Michelle at 1900 Park Fare. The girl from Citrico's came in a close second, but at least she got her job done.
Best Server: Ironically, also Michelle. But, this time, Michelle at Jiko. She was such a wonderful sweetie!!
Best Atmosphere: Such a hard decision, but I think I'm going to go with Jiko. Yachtsmen and Citrico's were close seconds. But, in the end, the fact that Jiko was very nice without being obnoxiously stuck-up was perfect for us. At the other two, we felt like people were looking down on us, even though we were dressed properly and acting properly. Also, who can argue with this view?
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1587.jpg
Worst Atmosphere: Garden Grille. I picked this place for the atmosphere, which is perhaps why I'm so disappointed in it. We couldn't see anything, and it was just boring and I felt like, wow, thank goodness I sacrificed somewhere good for staring at this blank wall.
Best Snack Credit Use: This will always be a Dole Whip.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1532.jpg
Worst Snack Credit Use: This is another tie, between the first yogurt/granola parfaits that were frozen and the snack credit that we can't for the life of us figure out where was spent.
Best Presentation of a Dish: There were so many wonderful ones, but we loved the fruit in a pineapple half!
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%203/DSCN1465.jpg
Best Pixie Dust: Two extra desserts at Jiko! Including one that's not even from Jiko! The server went over to either Boma or Mara and got us a box of Zebra Domes!
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1592.jpg
Funniest Experience: 50's Prime Time, with our server. She was hilarious, and scared the poor people next to us. We had a blast, and couldn't stop laughing.
Most Romantic Meal: Tie between Jiko and Yachtsman. Hard to decide, but they were both so wonderful, and we really were able to just enjoy each other.
Best Meal: Hands down, without a doubt, Jiko. As if you needed to ask.
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/DayLeBelDisneyTrip/Honeymoon/Day%204/DSCN1589.jpg
Us enjoying our favorite meal. :)
Up next, final thoughts on the DxDDP + the wrap-up.

Excellent report!:thumbsup2 That whole server thing at Citricos is just beyond bizarre. Sophisticated palette?? Wow, I think I would have lost it! Those are the times when I'm not happy that the tip is included when we use our TIW card. That is just so rude and unprofessional. And to say another restaurant's food sucks? Just amazing.
I definitely have got to get to Jiko next trip. I'm not sure I've ever seen a bad review!

I honestly can't believe you received such crazy service at Citrico's. What a shame! At least the food was good but I agree with you, it would have ruined our meal too. :( I hope you didn't tip her?

Oh man, that whole "sophisticated palate" thing was simply obnoxious! You would think someone working for tips would find a way not to insult her customers? :confused3
Anyways, great report! We're booked with the deluxe dining plan and we are staying at the Poly. There are 2 mornings where I want to make a breakfast at CC out of our snack credits. We're going to have 64 snack credits! It would be DH, DD3, DS5 and me. Trying to find something semi-balanced and semi-healthy. Are the yogurt parfaits made of real yogurt (vanilla?) or are they made of frozen yogurt (like an ice cream dessert)? I see you got bananas, do they have cut fruit/fruit salad? Do they have any protein snacks (like boiled eggs or cheese)? Do they have any cooked oatmeal, or just the packets you make with hot water? Any other suggestions for breakfast there? TIA

Yeah, we were so upset by it. I ended up crying on the bus ride back to our hotel. And, with it being our last meal, what an awful way to end the trip.
You should! Jiko is soooo good!

I know, it was ridiculous. We were so upset by it, and it definitely ruined our meal there. But, we'll definitely go back and try again, since it was a server-only issue. The food and everything else was wonderful.

Yeah, having worked as a waitress before, I found it best to not insult the customers. Maybe it's different where she comes from?:rotfl:
From what I can remember: They were real yogurt (or close to it), not like fro-yo or anything. They did have fruit salads. I'm not sure it the oatmeal was cooked or packet-style. But, I'd definitely check out this thread -> http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2381706 since it has all the snack credits. Just scroll down to "Polynesian" and you can see what they have that counts.

Great reviews and pics!
Rude servers must be cultivated in Citricos I think. We had one of those and I also read other peoples having the same problem.
Don't get me wrong, I heard people having server issues like not attentive enough, etc. But seems like most of the rude ones came from Citricos (or Le Chef)... weird...
BTW, we haven't gone back to Citricos since we had the rude server experience. I pay my food/service not to be snubbed so I choose to pass on another experience :)
