Here come the details (which will be edited as we go along...)
Escape Wedding at 10:00 AM most likely.
Location: Sea Breeze Point!
Officiant: Still undecided
Hair/Make-up: Patricia LeJeune. (not officially booked, but as long as she is available she's my first choice!)
Photography: David and Vicki Arndt! I'm very very excited about this!
The Dress: Short and sassy! :)
Reception: We're actually not having a reception afterward, instead I have a "Wedding Around the World" planned where we're going to change into normal clothes (me in a darling white dress) and go around to all the countries at Epcot with our guests. We're going to end in Morocco for a yummy Dessert Party! Yay for Dessert Parties!
Colors/Decor: Still deciding. I just know I want gerbera daisies!
Resort Stay: BCV!!

Ugh so looks like I'm back to October. SIL threw the news on my yesterday that they're trying to have another baby due sometime next summer. Granted this isn't something she'll know for sure, but I'm going to shoot for October again. Although there isn't much point in changing the title as it will probably change AGAIN! :rotfl2:
Oh don't worry...that's the great thing about having a PJ on the dis (I think)...doesn't matter how often you change your mind and lots of people to bounce ideas off. I am the queen of indecisiveness!!

I think those two decorations are just enough to give it some color without going over the top! :)
Navy and hot pink sound good together!! :) If I wasn't so into my tropical theme I might jump ship! :rotfl2:

Love your ideas so far... especially that bouquet- gorgeous:goodvibes we are having a tropical theme wedding too but in Dec 2010 and I really wanted orange and pink too but DF vetoed it so now we're lime green and fushcia (but I'm still adding splashes of orange:lmao:) Can't wait to follow all your plans!

Surprisingly my DF is okay with the colors! He even suggested wearing a hot pink/fuchsia tie! :rotfl2:
So ladies I just wanted to say I started a planning blog, which is actually easier to keep up with so I will still be updating here but you can also check my blog in my signature. It will probably have more inspiration pictures!

I liiiike... #3 or #4! But I think I lean more towards 3. :goodvibes Where the bodice/gathering ends on you is really flattering. It really highlights your figure. I would love to see the bottom of it! :thumbsup2
The last one seems a bit too summery for an October wedding. And #2 seems to make you look shorter than you really are. Probably because of all the horizontal gathering. I would like #1 if the top fit a bit better, but you have nice arms, you should show them off anyway. :goodvibes

I think they all look great!! I understand your concern about #11. I tried on one similar, but it was champagne, and I thought that would not suit an April wedding....so it all depends on your theme. Like I said, I like all of them, but I think 8 an 9 are my favourite! I just think they look a little different from the normal dresses, and while they all look great on you, those two seem to be very sliming!! I like #6, I just feel like a lot of people have that style of dress, but that is by no means a reason not to get it...whatever you like will be best!!!! (Just adding my opinion though!)
You are lucky that so many look good. I have like 2 that were okay, 30 that were awful, and 1 that was just right :rotfl:

I still have to take my mom and get her opinion, so that will play a big factor into it!

Karen I still stick with my original choice. I have one similar to number 11 in ivory though (size 10) that I am getting rid of extremely inexpensively!!! If you decide you like that style shoot me a pm. If I can’t get rid of it we might do a trash the dress shoot with it!

So after some more thinking I'm pretty sure I'm going to switch to Tuesday October 12 at 10AM. I'm thinking it might be easier to get my date and time, as 10/10/10 is going to be desirable. While its a little less convenient for some of our friends they'll still have a three day weekend and only have to take off a day or two max! :thumbsup2

So I decided last night that I am going to forgo having a lunch or dinner after the ceremony and just have a dessert party. Even though our ceremony is at 10 AM it gives us time to go back and relax, spend some time together, enjoy being MARRIED!
That being said, I haven't decided if I want to wear my dress or not. Everyone says it's so magical to wear your dress into the park but honestly with a ceremony at 10 AM I don't want to take it off and then put it back on later. Nor will I wear it all day. I like to be comfy! So maybe a super cute white dress and bride ears?!
Also not sure I need to have table decorations. PrincessShea's idea of putting glow sticks in the welcome bag was GREAT! That will give everything enough fun and color without me needing to decorate the tables. :goodvibes

That is exciting that you decided on having a DP!! If you see a more casual dress that you like, and will wear for other occasions, you might as well get it...but I bet you may feel like putting your wedding gown back on, since you will probably still be on a 'high' from the day!

Anyway YAY for doing it! I personally love the morocco DP site. I think it so pretty! And i agree with Karen... you may end up wanting to wear your gown to the DP. I know i would! :goodvibes You'll have to let me know specifics.. i wonder if i could talk DF into this!! :scratchin

I just wanted to stop in and say your plans look great so far!
I was an Escape bride (May 1, 2009) also SBP and had a Morocco DP!
I think you're going to change your mind about putting your dress back on....just sayin' is all. ;)
Anyway, right now I'm planning a trip to WDW next year from Oct. 3-8! So will miss you by 4 days!
but we have to be home for my niece's wedding which happens to be 10/10/10!
Anyway, I love your colors! And can't wait to see more plans as you go along! :goodvibes

Yeah, I have waffled a lot on the wedding time. Poor Pam is probably so sick of me emailing her with changes!
The ones from David's Bridal all ranged from $200-600. I think the more lace there was, the more expensive they got. :thumbsup2 HTH!

Hi Karen!! Congrats on your upcoming Disney wedding. I am doing the "one year to go" happy dance today as well. Just booked a Wishes Wedding for 10-12-10. And the good news - we don't have any conflicts!! I am scheduled for the Wedding Pavilion, The Attic and then a DP at Epcot - UK. and I am planning on having Misty do the photography.
I haven't started a wedding planning log yet - not sure if I have the time to keep up with it properly! We'll see how things go over the next couple of weeks.
I look forward to reading about your plans - and I guess we might even see each other at Epcot for the fireworks...LOL.

After much careful consideration I have planned out my wedding day!
9:30 AM Photographers and guests arrive
10:00 AM is the ceremony at Sea Breeze Point
10:20ish AM - 11:30 AM is the Champagne toast, cake cutting first dances, etc. aka the mini reception
11:30 AM - 12:30 PMish J and I will be taking pictures around the Boardwalk and Beach Club with our wonderful photographers
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM Guests are free to grab some lunch, change, rest up
2:00 PM - 8:00 PM The "Wedding Around the World" extravaganza begins! (See details below)
8:00/8:30 - 9:30 PM Amazing Illuminations Dessert Party at Morocco in Epcot
My idea for the "Wedding Around the World" extravaganza is brilliant, I love it! Basically we're going to meet up at one of the countries in Epcot and then go around to all of them ending at our Dessert Party in Epcot! Guests are more than welcome to meet up with us at any time. I wanted people to feel like they were getting use out of their park admission for the day. Also it will be fun to walk around to all of the countries with all of our guests with J and I in our wedding ears! This way everyone can eat at whatever country when they get hungry! Although they can't eat too much because we're having so much yummy food at the dessert party! :)
I'm getting SO SO excited!! AHHHHHH!

Sorry for another post today, but I also think I've decided to go with Patricia for hair and make-up! Well, make-up anyways. My maid-of-honor is great with hair so we're going to practice a few times before the wedding to make sure we like what she can do with my hair. If not then I can get it done! :goodvibes
But this leaves me in a bit of a conundrum. I haven't decided if I want to pay for their hair and make-up or pay for their dresses. I am leaning towards hair and make-up for their gifts. I wanted to make them a cool gift bag also, but we really can only afford for me to do one of the above. :confused3
Oh and we've changed our minds a little and are going to go with David and Vicki Arndt. Vicki was so great on the phone and DF loves their work. He was pretty set on it. Since I have made most of the other decisions I figured I would let him have one for himself! :cool1:

I LOVE that idea!!!! And you know what goes on during the fall at ecpot right!?! only DF and I's favorite excuse to eat an insane amount of food... the Food and Wine Festival! You guys can all try alittle bit from each country. They dont give you too much and its only like 3-5$ to try something so that could be fun too! Then the DP is like the desert after your taste buds have been all over the place!
I might have to bring this idea up with DF!

For those of you ladies following this I have gone twice to try on dresses and also borrowed one from a friend. Well I inquired with that friend about buying her dress so that I wouldn't worry about ruining it or losing it on our journey. Well yesterday she offered it to me for 350 which is the going rate for a Maggie Sottero Courtney dress. However the dress needs to be cleaned pretty heavily. I mentioned that and she shot back at me how the dress doesn't need to be altered so I shouldn't be complaining about having to pay for it being cleaned. In my opinion I should only pay the going rate if the dress is in like-new condition. :confused3 So I told DF about it and he thinks I should get a different dress and not buy it from her. He doesn't like her attitude about it. Me having or not having to have it altered shouldn't affect anything. However it's my mom's favorite dress and she thinks I look the best in it! AHHHH!
I do love the dress and there are some things I would want changed about it. My SIL recommended a couture wedding shop near her house that makes custom dresses. She said I should take it in and tell her what I would want done to it or how I would want it changed and see how much a custom dress would be.
I just feel so frustrated with this whole situation because I'm only wearing the dress for 2 hours and I don't want to spend a lot on it. :(
Have you looked on Ebay or one of the pre-worn dress websites?? I'm sure you can find your dress out there somewhere :)

On the dress front, I agree with your DF. I don't really like your friend's attitude either. I would think she would try to give you a deal since she's your friend or at least have it cleaned first for you.
Don't worry, you'll find your dress and at a great deal. Definitely check out the preowned dress sites, I think one is called oncewed.

Hopefully I can find something I like and look for it on ebay or somewhere else (if it's too expensive)! I'm just so scared to order something online and not be sure that it's what I want or like. Don't worry too much about it. I went into DB and tried on a bunch... all different styles. I knew that if i found one i liked i'd get it but honestly there wasn't anything i was thrilled over. But it helped me know what style i liked and what looked the best on me. Then i started looking on ebay. There are so many people who are selling their gowns its crazy! and even look on craigslist too. You are NEVER stuck with a dress. You could always turn around and re-sell if its not what you want. The girl i bought my dress from i think got the dress at a trunk show for cheap and bought it just because. Once she had it at home she realized after a week or two it was an impulse buy and wasn't what she wanted.... (Lucky for me)... so dont worry too much ;)

Love how your e pictures came out. Also on the bridesmaid dress - love all three dresses. I know you said they do not want strapless but maybe just have them try one on. I was deadset against a strapless wedding gown and thought I wanted halter style. My first day out dress shopping I tried on halter style and they really made me look wide on top - the salesgirl suggested strapless and I was amazed how comfortable it was. Do not rule it out until you try it.

The first time I looked at dresses (although I didn't try any on) I looked at a place that carried a lot of "Mon Cheri" (I think that is what it is called). They were really pretty, and most were under $500. It may just be that particular store I was at, but I would try that designer.

I'm holding that little line of bling they offered to sew on. And the back is the best party it has this part that drapes down! It was only $250, but I would need a full body slip for it and I'd possibly add that beading/bling to it. Ahhhhh decisions decisions!

Love that dress. There was a dress somewhat like that on "Say Yes To The Dress". The girl wanted very simple and understated and the mother wanted all out (and did not want to let the girl get what she wanted). She tried on a dress like that and really wanted it and the mother refused. The poor bride was in tears trying on the dress the mother wanted. Of course the sales girl at the store wanted the bride to get the dress she wanted. She took the dress and added an embelishment to it like you are doing and it was just perfect. The girl got what she wanted and the mother got the bit of sparkle. I think this would be a great choice for you (and it is in your price range). You can always add a sparkley tiara and maybe some sparkley shoes.

Ooo that is really similar! Except this dress doesn't have a train, it's very very simple. There's no lining or anything, just a thin layer of satin. That's why I'm having such a hard time finding it I think. It's too simple for most designers! :rotfl:

I don't have any pictures of me in it because my mom forgot her camera and it was all black! But in a couple of months it'll be in and I can try it on in all its glory! :rotfl:
I think it fits SBP and the Boardwalk area so nicely. I didn't want anything really formal either. It flatters me so well! I just want to go try it on again and again! :rotfl2:

Update time!
Yesterday my mom booked a studio and 2-bedroom at Beach Club for a whole week each. The original plan was that I was going to rent the points from her but she actually offered to give them for free! YAY! :yay: One less wedding expense, whew! If we actually get to stay the whole week I would be so happy. Although the wedding does fall in the middle of it, it would still be nice to have three days to ourselves afterward. The big thing is that we're going on the new Disney Dream in May of 2011, so DF and I are trying to say money for that! :goodvibes
In more wedding related news I have been so inspired by my dress that I want to have a Mad Men themed wedding. I've always adored that time period and can't wait to dress the part! I'm trying to pull it all together and find different ways to incorporate it. I'm also have a huge conundrum about colors. I want to change them to match my theme! I was thinking of trying to match them to the Boardwalk instead. A nice canary yellow and navy blue maybe? Ahhhh!
Here are some inspiration pictures:

Boardwalk themedish was as far as I got. I wanted to try and pick up some of the colors used around the resort. All I came up with was aqua, that dull red, canary yellow, navy blue, and a sea green. None of those seem very fall-ish to me. I was thinking canary yellow or just normal yellow and navy blue. With white and yellow flowers. Although I LOVE pink and really wanted to bring pink in somehow. :confused3

YOUR DRESS IS AMAZING. Seriously. I am so jealous. The other thing I am jealous about is the shoes. ADORABLE. Please tell me you're going with those!
I love the theme too. I feel like we're going with something like that but I'm a little lazy and don't have the creativity to really go places with it!
Can't wait to hear more!

Thank you so much! I'm so excited about my dress! It fits my personality a lot better than long dresses! :goodvibes
The theme is slowly coming together! It's hard to find a ton of info about the time period and I'm having a lot of trouble picking colors. I need to really sit down with my mom and talk to her since she lived through the late 50's/early 60's!
Loving your theme idea.
Thanks!! :goodvibes

I know i said it on facebook but let me just remind you... I LOVE MAD MEN! and i love that you're making it your inspiration! As for colors i would go with something vintage classic... like black and white with some splashes of accent colors. Like black and white with bright red... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_-FNYeDYTQZM/Sgy67TawocI/AAAAAAAAALg/MrQVrhLw0n0/s400/OH_inspiration+board.jpg

My best idea to make the boardwalk seem more fall like is to brighten up or darken the pastels. It is definitely more challenging to get a fall feel there than many of the other venues, but I am sure you could make it work!! And you should def keep pink!!! But I am very biased....

That's what I was thinking! I am pretty sure my shoes will be BRIGHT pink! And I'm thinking of keeping the rest of myself whiteish. Although dark blue and canary yellow...hmmm! :rotfl:

Since I've changed the wedding to have more of a vintage, classy theme I've made a 180 turn on my hair! I had been thinking about updos for awhile, but I don't like the idea of all my hair pulled away from my face. That being said I think these two are awesome classy, vintage updos with more texture and body around my face. I have naturally wavy/curly hair so I think I can pull it off pretty easily! :goodvibes

Hi Karen!
Your wedding plans look great! The dress you've ordered is gorgeous, I LOVE the idea of the bride wearing a shorter length dress. And Mad Men is awesome. If you haven't seen it, Modcloth.com has a ton of vintage inspired dresses. A lot are more informal (maybe for events surrounding the wedding?) but they do have some more formal stuff that pops up every now and then. :)
Oh and if you're all for the 1950s and 60s, don't forget to look at cage veils and pill box hats as a replacement for the more traditional veil. I'm definitely thinking of doing one of those instead!
