If any of the rumors over the use of the image are true, perhaps Disney could solve them right here:

Grauman's on the block as value peaks (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3ice2557e822899daa3ded85a95a6c1446)

Amid seismic shifts in local exhibition, Warner Bros. and Viacom are stepping up efforts to unload L.A.-area movie theaters piecemeal, including the iconic Grauman's Chinese in Hollywood. Such an exit would conclude an initially profitable but more recently tedious tenure of ownership for the studio companies.

Hopefully Disney would buy it. Hard to say since they own the Hyperion, has anyone heard how that theatre is doing?

It would be cool if they used Grauman's as a place to premiere live action movies and use Hyperion as the location to premiere the animation films. That would give both places a unique draw.

It is a historic property with a rich history ... even for Walt Disney Pictures.

Graumans does very well.. I know when I lived in Hollywood, I rarely saw any showings that you might consider "sparsely attended" =--> many tourists buy a ticket to see a film there "just because" - it almost doesn't really matter what the showing is.

Fascinating possibilities. Not sure if Disney has the stomach for the investment currently but it sure is interesting.
