For those with an iphone, you might find Keven Yee's review (http://miceage.micechat.com/kevinyee/ky081109a.htm) of a bunch of WDW iphone applications in detail.

Yeah I bought Postman last night and it's pretty cool. Great postcards you can email or post to twitter and FB.

There aren't many DL applications, but we do have a great park map which has dining info (prices, menu). Plus a DL wait times application. We don't go to WDW nearly as much as anyone here, so hopefully some of these can be helpful. Plus, some applications might be found on other phone application sites as well I'm sure.

You don't need to but - go take the class at the Apple store.
It really is informative.

There might even be a wedding planner app :flower3:

The one on the iphone commercial is called Postman. It's only .99 cents. Found another great app where you can trade your personal contact info, someone else's contact info from your phone or even a picture by holding your iphones and bumping your hands together. It's called BUMP and it's free. Only works with both people have the app.

Like Wally said, take the tutorial in the store or even go online. They're are tons of tutorials online, even on youtube.

I fail to see how.

I've got a phone with features I don't use now. (We've got the LG Dare thru Verizon)

I use it to make calls and text. I'm fine with that. If I want to hear music, I've got stereos with CDs in the car, at work, and at home. If I need to get online, I've got computers at home, at work, and a laptop. If I want a picture of something, I tell Scott "Take a picture of that".

There are other ways I'd rather spend my money when I'm perfectly happy with the phone I've got now, especially since we've got another year on our contract.

I'm with you, I really didn't want the phone, but she HAD to buy me the best. Honestly, it's too much PHONE for me.I've yet to tap into 3/4 of what the phone is capable of, and why? Because like you, I just wanna talk, text and send a pic! :sad2:

Not at all.

I don't begrudge you for wanting one, having one, and enjoying it.

But you and Jenn with your talk of "why would anyone ever be without one" . . . well, that's why I feel like I don't need one.

Isn't it great that we live in a world where we're we're not all the same? That'd be boring.

Funny -- I have more than half of those apps on my itouch!!! :rotfl2:

I'm the total opposite of Soulmates -- I LUV my itouch and consider it the best, coolest toy I've ever had (with the possible exception of my macbook, but that's more practical than fun). I originally wanted the iphone, but decided against it b/c I don't like AT&T. Now I'm glad I didn't get the iphone because I like being able to talk on the phone and access my calendar and notes on the itouch while I talk.

Just used it today to make some WDW-DINE arrangements! :thumbsup2

Mike -- a 20 foot flag pole in your yard? Your man is a tad .... patriotic? :confused3

This is our third home, before we move in, we put in a flag pole, its a tradition!

And for the record, I did not relish the thought of a new phone....didn't think I needed it, and now I  mine....

Yeah... That was me too... I really liked my Blackberry Pearl. I found it very easy to use and great for what I needed it for... talking, texting, and picture taking... I always liked the idea of the idea of the iPhone just didn't find it necessary.

Then I landed backend over teakettle on the ice patch in the church driveway on the way out one night. The phone was in my hand (I always have it ready when I leave late at night) and it flew across the driveway and broke. Since our contracts were coming up and Nelson (The Apple Product King) and I both decided to go get iPhones. We both  them now... I use it for everything... calendar (which you can look at while talking) alarm clock, facebook (;)), games when I am bored, Weather, GPS, Itunes, and searching the internet for something when I am not in easy reach of a computer. There are even fertility apps! :goodvibes

Have you tried one of the screen covers? It doesn't show the fingerprints and it helps with the super touchy buttons... Gives your fingers a little more traction, if you will... (Go ahead, Wally - I will let you have at that one!)

The screen flipping on me was a little annoying in the beginning but i learned to just roll with it... I love how it makes things easier to read and see...

I don't have a problem with dropped calls... I must be in a great coverage area...

I hope this helps. It is no fun being stuck with a phone you don't like... I know... I HATED my Motorola Razr!!! :goodvibes

One thing I like about the 3GS that's now out, is the screen is more resistant to smudges and fingerprints. Doesn't get near as dirty. But then again, most any phone out now that has touchscreen capabilities has this issue.

Anyhoodles. I heart my iphone.

Well - I got an Iphone on Ebay this week - not a MAC person - I am totally addicted. It's great to know there's a 40 minute wait for Splash Mountain... Now only if I were there instead of in Dallas.
On a side note - the phone had video of pitbulls and an edlerly man dancing to the black eyed peas and was preloaded with tehano music... ihot?

I was rather surprised with how limited the iphone apps were with planning a trip to Disneyworld. Right now I'm using Mouse Memo to save all my restaurant confirmation numbers, but a simple spreadsheet would do the same thing. It would be helpful if it also had park hours and special events listed. By far Evernote has been the most useful in planning our upcoming trip which IS NEXT WEEK!!!!!

Has anyone actually checked how accurate these "wait time" applications are? I work with a guy who has an IPhone. We pulled up the wait time for Everest around midnight the other night, and it was 60 minutes! Odd considering the park had been closed for over 6 hours! :confused3

He said his app is very unreliable....
