The Timeshare Store is showing a listing as of today for 240 points at Disney's Villas at the Grand Californian for $114/point!!!
Considering the current incentive is $88, it doesn't look like this will move very fast.

Hey and it wasn't me! Guess there is someone else who either had a worse experience with their developer points at SSR (hard to imagine) :scared1: or they just need to sell. Actually, now that the memory of SSR is starting to fade, I'm thinking about my beloved Disneyland again, I'm looking forward to trying out the villas! :yay: If my guide would get his act together, I might add-on.....

That's so sad...I don't think I could ever part with my VGC! I've waited too long to have a DL DVC.

$114 per point. What is the current rate from Disney with incentives? I know the incentives are scheduled to change soon.
edit- Sorry. I guess I should read the whole post from the OP.

What was fast - the resale or the SSR bashing?

Wow! What a shame for the poor seller.
I could see feeling a little sorry for them if they were trying to sell at $80 pp, but isn't $114 above the highest price that anyone could've even paid ? Realize that they'll give up 10-12% on the commission, but if they got DPs and either used or rented them (value that @ $8-$10 pp) it almost seems like this person may be flipping for a profit if they bought in with some of the incentives of the past few months in the $90s or even high $80s.
Why anyone in their right mind would pay close to the same (or higher:sad2:) price resale than direct is a bit of a mystery to me - especially for a 240 pt contract. A 25 pt contract I could see as some folks may use a 25 pt resale contract to get their foot in the door at DVC in which case "paying up" is something they may have to do.

I might feel more sorry for the buyer if someone goes for it at this price. :sad2:

:rotfl2: ;) Both. But I ignore the SSR bashing. You'd think SSR had done something personal to folks by the amount of bashing. It's simple: don't like it? Don't stay there. :goodvibes

I don't mind the SSR bashing actually, without it I would've never been able to buy my resale under $70..........:lmao:
Given how well that worked, I might start at BCV bashing thread to make my future add-on a bit cheaper :scared1:
