I know it just opened today, but does anyone know if BCV has connecting studios?

I very much doubt it. None of the other DVC resorts have connecting studios. The studios are either "dedicated" (they don't connect to anything) or they connect to a 1 bedroom unit to make a 2 bedroom lock off unit.
