What restaurants can be used for holding events - such as a Wedding Reception? :bride:

Moving over to the wedding board. Our Disney Brides are EXPERTS at wedding reception venues. There is a lot available to you as a bride that isn't available to us as the general public.

Gotcha, thanks. I've been studying this site, but wasn't sure if people posted other information about events, not wedding/honeymoon related.

The PassPorter's Disney Weddings and Honeymoon's E-Book would have all the answers, but off the top of my head, brides on here have had or are planning (or at least I know about)

Narcoossee's: (Me!)
Citrico's
Flying Fish: Honey2741 (planning)
Todd English's BlueZoo: PrincessShea
California Grill

Essentially, if a restaurant serves dinner only (like the ones above) you have to have a morning to early afternoon start time.

There are also other ways to have events during regular business hours. Some have semi-private areas for smaller groups during normal business hours.

Here's the link to the e-book:

Heidi said it best! BUY THE BOOK! ;)

It was the most helpful thing I did during planning. As for your specific question, the book even has a six-page chart that shows the options for private and non-private events at a TON of WDW's restaurants. You won't regret it! (And if you do, they have a satisfaction guarantee!)

Just click on the link that Heidi gave you, and you'll be all set! :goodvibes

We had our dinner reception at Jiko. We had 1/2 of the wine room, so it was private and the food/bev. min was $2500 for 1/2 of the room. If you have more than 20 peeps, you would need to have the whole room, which last time I checked the min was $4000.

But the other posters are correct!! It's all in THE book! ;)

There are also several Downtown Disney restaurants that have private/semi-private options. Included are Raglan Road, Portobello, Fulton's Crab House....Fulton's third deck is completely private and I'm having my WHOLE wedding there. There ceremony will be outside on the deck with the reception just inside in their Lounge.

You also have the option to do Banquet Rooms at Boardwalk Convention Center like the St. James Room, White Hall, Park Place Room.
