We have two trips planned to HHI. We are leaving the day after Christmas and it is 138 days out and our summer trip to HHI is in June of 2010. I don't even want to know how many days we have to wait for that trip. Its awesome being able to plan and we are so thankful to have this vacation planning advantage with DVC but the grand anticipation that leads up to a trip can wear on a person.

I know I need to forget about the trip and not dwell on it but its like waiting for Christmas morning to arrive everyday with every trip we plan. How does everyone deal with this anticipation?

I'm on these borads daily, and have friends also booked through dvc...so i'm always helping others book their trips as well. Some of them went as far as telling me to become a Disney Travel Agent.
These get me by until my vacation arrives. Is it easy all the time....nope... but it helps.
Not to say that i don't have a life outside of Disney, other matters do take precidents, and i'll keep my mind focused on those matters to in order to keep a balance in life.

As you can see in my signature, I am counting down for my March 2010 vacation, plus a December 2010 vacation that I haven't even booked yet! It makes me happy to know that when we return home next March, I will only have 6 more months to wait for our next trip.

I have a notepad where I have scribbled out various scenarios of DVC vacations for the next 3 years. I know....a little obsessive....but it makes me happy. I am now thinking of planning an end-of-February 2011 trip, which will give me 3 trips within one year -- really stretching my AP value. Hmmm....that means less than 3 months between the December 2010 and February 2011 trips. :rotfl:

Not easy!! And sometimes I wonder if being on these boards :disrocks: all day helps or only makes the anticipation even greater!!! It's just nice to know that I'm not the only Disney loon out there:crazy:!!!!

And as the countdown gets closer and closer and the paper chains get smaller and smaller and there are more "X" marks on the calender I start to go into convulsions :hyper:!! We're so close now I can almost smell the scents and feel the rides...I just need these last few days to go by...and then time to stop all together when we get there!!:rotfl:

:rotfl: you had me laughing when i saw you had a paper chain. My friends laugh at me, a 42 year old, making a chain. i start at the 30 day mark, and hang it in my livingroom. But, as much as they laugh, they want to come over and take off a link.:thumbsup2

I know your pain..we've been counting down to our first Disney cruise in Nov for over 2 years, it's been booked since Mar 2008. :sad2:

We're another paper chain family too at the 30 day mark, my nieces, newphew and grandson love them. :cloud9:
