Does anyone else have constant problems with the RCI website they gave us with the DVC certificates? It is constantly not working or shut down with issues.
Great first impression!

Maybe I'm not clear what site you are asking about. Here is a link to the DVC/RCI site (http://dvc.rci.com/RDGateway/Functional/RDMain.jsp?&client=RCI&gatewayURL=/RDGateway/RCI_RDGIndex?body=RCI_RDGLanding) and it seems to be working.

No, when we added on we got the RCI week certificate. There is a special site to search for hotels with it...right when RCI and DVC mated is when they gave them out like candy. The site is always down and the worst I've seen in a while to navigate!

I don't believe you need to view a special website to select a vacation for your certificate. I would use the link Doc provided above..

Yea we do. It is rcicertificates.com/dvc
Our own "special" place :)

I had no trouble getting on there just now. It is actually the same RCI site as Doc's link. Just a different area to enter to specifically cash in your certificate. You might want to browse around the first RCI link to get an idea of what they have. But that is up to you.
There is an 800 "help" number on the bottom of your link to call if you have any issues. Have you tried that yet?

That link works fine for me too - except that I don't have a certificate number to enter. If you still can't get it to work try calling the 800 number displayed on the site. I'm sure you can get help there to use your certificate.
Good luck! :)

I haven't been in the website myself yet, because I have been waiting since I bought my VGC point in April for my certificates. I am getting quite upset with DVC about that, and have been going around and around on the phone with them to get them. Anyways, I thought it wasn't the normal website, because not all properties were available with the certificates. I could be wrong.

Yea, we have to use the special site with 2 codes. The basic site is fine, but it constantly (4+ times a day) crashes mid search and won't start up again for a while. My DW is having the same problems at work...outstanding. Really makes RCI look so great!
not sure about the certificates you speak of... I just know that I finally started looking at exchanges for the first time since the new switch and I am NOT happy with things that have been taken away!! Then when I go to view some items that I would do on a nightly basis, they aren't listed on the RCI site as options, even though the '09 book has them listed. I'm feeling very DVCscrewed this evening! :confused3

Have they been able to help when you call the 1-800 number provided?

I think that Disney is still trying to work out the kinks with the RCI stays. Just a few weeks ago we stayed at one of the Gold Crown RCI resorts in Williamsburg, VA and --long story short--we were there only one night...it was the worst. I've stayed at $69/night Best Westerns that were nicer. The next morning I called DVC peeps and complained. They, in turn, called the RCI peeps and we were moved that afternoon to a very nice Wyndam resort (apparently Wyndam owns RCI now). After we returned home from our vacation I noticed that the terrible 1st resort was taken off the website. Perhaps this has happened to other resorts and that's why the offerings seem to change?
I was very disappointed with the RCI offerings and especially their lack of short stays. Maybe now that Wyndam owns RCI some of their resorts will be included...one can only hope!

Just wondering which Wyndham in Williamsburg... we've stayed at Wyn Patriots Place (nice rooms, not much of a resort atmosphere) and Wyn Kingsgate (nice rooms, good resort amenities, a pretty decent place overall). This fall, we'll be at Wyn Governors Green and looking forward to it but it doesn't trade through RCI. Glad to see that DVC/RCI moved you to a better location after a poor exchange placement.

The second impression won't be any better! :rotfl2:
We used our certificate for a lovely stay in Branson this December. I was hoping for Hawaii or Mexico or something! There was nothing good when I looked a few months ago afer getting it from our BLT purchase at the Doorway to Dreams event. They did have Mexico but only at all-inclusive places where you had to pay a steep AI fee.
